impression in front of the branch manager and ask him to verify from
your thumb impression stored in the bank database.

Hi Mahesh,
I didn't face so much struggle. I feel that broker is not aware of the
entire process. SEBI had announced in 2015 that Blind people cannot be
deprived of participating in mutual fund investments. I was not aware
but my broker was active and He had guided me through entire process.
He is from Kolkata. Can you try to complete KYC through other bank if
you have account in Axis bank or HDFC bank? My situation is worse when
it comes to signature or thumb impression because I'm not able to
provide either of these due to dammaged thumb in both hands. I gave my
left toe impression.

Hi Minar,
I had discussed the same with the branch manager of PNB, and when he
spoke to the MF partner, they said manager verification wouldn't be
enough, that the form will have to be filled in the presence of a
notary who should then verify the thumb impression and that it has to
be witnessed by 2 people! Basically making it as difficult as possible
so much so that you'd end up dropping the idea!

I will suggest to get KYC done before making any investment. One
should not take risk in financial matters. It won't take much time.
One can reach out bank branch with form fill it out and put a thumb
impression in front of the branch manager and ask him to verify from
your thumb impression stored in the bank database.

Hi.
I did try PhonePe as well. They also need you to sign on the screen as
part of the online KYC process. Thumb Impression does not get
registered, and if you just sign randumly, they would say signature
not verified and KYC not processed.
Incidentally, I had invested on an HDFC fund on PhonePe.

Mahesh,
I have signed up with both HDFC Mutual Fund and SBI Mutual Fund using
online KYC without uploading any signature. I don't remember but HDFC may
allow you to invest on other funds too and not just HDFC (again, I don't
remember as I am not doing Mutual fund SIP with them) while on SBI MF, you
can only transact with funds offered by SBI.

Try PhonePe under investment tab.

Also, for a while I have signed up with a professional Investment Advisory

Re: [AI] A few questions regarding SIP/MF platforms

2022-10-09 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
I have tried with Clear Tax, the kyc is pending... When doing it on
the app, it was asking to sign on the phone, and the thumb impression
was not being captured properly. So I then uploaded the image through
the web interface. Have to wait and see.
In the mean time, I spoke to PNB, their mutual fund partner executive
was called into the branch, and on checking with his senior executive,
he told me that I have to fill the physical form in the presence of a
notary and varify the thumb impression by the notary.

 Dear listers,
I have been trying to join a SIP plan or a mutual fund online. The one
issue is regarding signature/thumb impression. How do we go about it
if one would be using thumb impression instead of signatures on
official documents if one has to do an online KYC? I had a difficult
time with Federal Bank when trying to join their mutual fund, as it
was being managed by a third party for the bank and they created
issues regarding thumb impression. How has been your experience on
PhonePe or Paytm or similar platforms?, if anyone has used those for
SIP/MF purposes?... They all want to upload a photograph of signature
as part of the KYC. Do they create issues with thumb impression there?
What would be the most accessible and recommended platform for SIP/MF?

Dear listers,
I have been trying to join a SIP plan or a mutual fund online. The one issue is
regarding signature/thumb impression. How do we go about it if one would be
using thumb impression instead of signatures on official documents if one has
to do an online KYC? I had a difficult time with Federal Bank when trying to
join their mutual fund, as it was being managed by a third party for the bank
and they created issues regarding thumb impression. How has been your
experience on PhonePe or Paytm or similar platforms?, if anyone has used those
for SIP/MF purposes?... They all want to upload a photograph of signature as
part of the KYC. Do they create issues with thumb impression there?
What would be the most accessible and recommended platform for SIP/MF?

Re: [AI] A few questions regarding SIP/MF platforms

2022-10-05 Thread Minar Singh
You can ask your bank to complete verification of your thumb
impression. Fill out your details, put your thumb impression and
request your branch manager to verify. It will take 1 to 2 days. I did
face similar issue while investing in to Equity linked savings scheme.
This process has to be completed only once in a life time. After that
you can invest online.
