Re: [AI] Problem about Unusuable USB Port and Unknown Device.

2009-08-18 Thread Amiyo Biswas

Hello Amar and everybody,

The problem seems to have gone since I detached a cable which connected my
mp3 player. I left the cord plugged into the USB port for about two years.
When necessary, I plugged my transcend mp3 player on one end of the cord.
But the other edn of the cord was always attached to the pc. Yesterday I
noticed the change after I removed the cord. Meanwhile, I attempted so many
things, like I disabled one port, uninstalled the unknown device and even
changed my antifirus from nod32 to avast.

The port is all right. I tested it. The cord is damaged.

Best Regards,

Amiyo Biswas.

Respected Sir,

If you are sure that it is a virus, then you can try two tools which are
very good.

First: USB Flash Disinfector,
And
Second is the website which offers good softwares like antivirus for pc
pen

drive etc, it is very powerful.

Hope it helps,

Hello,

I am getting an error message from this morning on my home pc. The text of
the message is, One or more devices are malfunctioning. Try to reconnect
the device or reinstall it. Two devices are shown: unusuable USB port and
some unknown device.

I have checked the device manager and disabled the unknown device. There
is
nothing like an unusuable port. The most disturbing thing is that Jaws
keeps

on repeating the error message and I can't do anything.

Please suggest a solution.

Best Regards,

Respected Sir,

Glad to know that your problem is gone.

Sir you are highly knowledgeable in this field so don't take my this
suggestion otherwise, its just my suggestion that switch to some better
antivirus. If you are intrested in free antiviruses, then aveera is a good
choice.
I know you know it already, so just reminding you.

Hi,
Make sure auto run facility is disabled in your computer in future.
Always scan the external disks before opening them. 99% of the
viruses act through auto run only.

Hello
Are you scanning your system regularly? I am asking you because
once I had the same problem in my office PC, after removing the

My pen drive does not autoplay. I never allowed it. Anyway, the virus came
from my pen drive. I write everything on my pen drive because I use computer
at home, at my office and at my organisation almost everyday. So I have to
save everything there. I shall take care in future, of course. But what now?
The message starts popping up after an hour. Once it starts, it continues to
disturb me even if I restart my pc.
