Re: [AI] info needed to send screen shots of a website
Hello Guys, I am kind of really confused with the mails on this thread. The print screen function of Windows works brilliantly fine, don't understand the reason for installing additional softwares and applications for the purpose of the same when it can be done without them! As instructed by a member earlier, get the window in question in focus, hit the print screen button on your keyboard, go to the application where you want the screen shot placed, control v to paste it there and you are done! If you want to send the screen shot as an attachment, follow the same process to capture the screen shot, open MS Paint under start, programs, accessories and then paste the image there and save the file in the formats like JPEG, TIF etc. Mujtaba Merchant Bangalore, India - Original Message - From: Zujar Shabbir Kanchwala To: Access India Sent: Thursday, April 05, 2012 10:55 AM Subject: Re: [AI] info needed to send screen shots of a website SnagIt from TechSmith is a good screen capture application. Re: [AI] info needed to send screen shots of a website
I agree that the PrintScreen function is good for capturing the current screen with or without the background windows. It still has a limitation when one needs to capture a webpage that is more than one screen in length, i.e., one needs to scroll to view the complete page. Secondly, it also captures title bar, menu bar, toolbars and such elements of the current window which may not be required. Also, it doesn't fulfill the need to capture some region of a window and not the entire window. I believe the PrintScreen function has the basic functionality, if one needs more, additional software can help.
