Probably you need to check the check box “do not show this dialogue box again”. As far as I remember, it appears in the same dialogue box, and continues until the above mentioned option gets checked. Hi rajesh, Gmail will block all attachments containing an exe file no matter whether you save it in a zip file or rename the file to txt or something. But as far as other attachments are concerned, they come through fine. However, there is one potential problem with the spam filter of the GMail. It often moves important mails in to the spam folder. So one should regularly check the spam folder for right kind of mails. Gmail automatically blocks attachments containing .exe files. If your attachments contain any executable files, they will be blocked, even if they are in zipped format. Well, I am also sailing in the same boat as far as gmail is concerned. Despite all its pretentions, google mail does not allow attachments it seems. Please varify that 1. allow authentication check box is checked under the server page of the account properties. 2. under the advanced page of the properties the smtp port number should be 465 and 3 the SSL check box next to the port number is also checked.
