2024-05-05 Thread Amiyo Biswas
Hello,

There are extensive discussions on reading pdf files and many other windows
applications and accessibility issues in a free book on
www.bookshare.org

The books is The Windows Screen Reader Primer by David Kingsbury. This is free
and you need not be a member. A few days back Homiyar Mobedji provided the link
to this list. This is a huge book with nearly 800 pages. But the topics are
well organised in chapters and subtopics under different heading levels. I have
already covered half of the book and I am learning many new things from here.

Read it in parts everyday and you may find something new some day.

Well, it has a discussion on accessibility issues of zoom meeting also.

With best regards,

opening adobe software first and then opening document through it may work
some time instead of directly opening the document.

Re: [AI] Problem in reading pdf file.

2024-05-04 Thread Amiyo Biswas
Hello,

If I remember correctly, jaws OCR was available with version 18. Press
application key on the file and arrow down to the option convenient OCR with
jaws, and press entr on it. Allow a few seconds and jaws should start reading.

If it does not work, then you should use advance versions of adobe acrobat
reader or jaws.

Normally jaws reads any text pdf file. The OCR feature is required for scanned
pdf files only.

With best regards,

  Hi accessindians,
Hope all are fine and doing well.
I use adobe reader dc for reading pdf files on pc. But last many days I find
it does not read anything. It says blank. I use jaws 2018. Do I need to do any
settings? Please guide in step by step manner.
  Sincerely,
  C. B. Kulkarni
