HI all,
I have lost my mobile phone nokia C5 last friday(10th February).
Somebody has taken it when I was travelling in the bus.
We have informed the police and also I have given them the IMEI number.
but I dont think they will trace it.
is there any other way to trace the phone?
does anybody have a specific software for that?

no, acknowledgement is not needed now to get a replacement sim. only some
amount and a ID proof preferably which was given for the original sim. and
the old sim will be automatically blocked as soon as you get the new sim.
also now a days, police people demand affidavit for lodging complaint
regarding mobile theft. so, it is useless if there is no hope of getting the
mobile back.

Dear Friend,
I will limit myself only to the legal requirements. One, officially
lodge a police complaint, quoting the IME no of the phone. Invariably
collect an acknowledgement of the complaint and preserve it. If you
are lucky, you may get back your phone. Otherwise the acknowledgement
will protect you from any future complications. Two, with
acknowledgement, you can ask the service provider to block your no and
may even get a duplicate SIM which will enable to continue with your
original no.
Good luck.

Ofcourse that would not help tressing already stollen phone, however
