Re: [AI] how to copy table from MS word to e-mail message box

2014-01-07 Thread Zujar Shabbir Kanchwala
Hi Mohib,

If you are using Ms Outlook then the shortcut for converting an email to
HTML format is ALT+O, T, H. If this sound tough to remember then you can
find this option under Format menu, when you find the HTML button you just
need to activate it using ENTER or SPACEBAR.

You can choose to default composition in HTML format in the Outlook Options
dialog box (File menu > Options). After open the Outlook Options dialog box,
choose Mail in the Category list and TAB to the combo box that reads
"Compose messages in this format" and choose HTML. Activate the OK button
and you are done. All new messages would be composed in HTML format
thereafter.

I believe the Standard View of gmail defaults to HTML format whereas the
Basic HTML View defaults to Plain Text format and could not find an option
to switch to HTML format. Request list members to help if you found it or
have a workaround.

Best Regards,

Zujar..

Hello Mohib,

Keep your cursor inside the table and follow these steps:

Press alt+a for Table menu,

c for Select submenu,

and then t for the table.

Pause for a second and let windows select the table. Now press ctrl+c for
copy, and press ctrl+v to paste the table on to the email message.

You can check the table format using jaws cursor or when you have sent it,
you can check the html feature of the table inside your sent items folder.

As regards auto numbering in ms word 2003, or 2007, once you put in a
number, such as 1, 2, 3... or a, b, c ... etc., word automatically starts
numbering. Suppose you have put in 4 numbered items accepting the word
feature of auto numbering. When you press the enter key again, word will put
the number 5. But since you don't want to type in the fifth item, simply
press the enter key once more and the numbering for the fifth line will be
gone.

On the other hand, if you want to convert the numbered lines into normal
text, press ctrl+shift+n to apply normal formatting.

I am not sure if I have explained correctly.

With best Regards,

Amiyo Biswas

2014-01-06 Thread Him Prasad Gautam
hi,
There is one easy option but it will not be in table. This method will
just retain the texts in the tabular form separated by tabs. For this
do the following:
1. Copy the table from MS word.
2. Paste it in notepad application. Use notepad plus plus.
3. The text of the table will retain tabular position. Column will
take tab separated form.
4. Copy the tabular text from notepad and paste it in email message box.
5. The text will be in tabular structure without row and column lines.

You need to ensure that the message format is either HTML or RTF (Rich Text
Format), possible that the table format is disrupted when pasted in an email
with Plain Text Format. I'm using Ms Outlook 2013 which prompts me to switch
to HTML format when attempting to paste a table in a Plain Text email. As
our list supports only Plain Text Format, the below test table may not
appear correctly to list recipients, so marking you a copy for reference.
