Re: Setting the CPC bid on product in shopping campaign.

2014-07-10 Thread Christian
Hi Josh,

thanks for your feedback. We are also aware of the limitation of ad groups
per campaign, but we already deal with that fact by creating multiple
campaigns for a product feed if the number of products exceeds the limit.

According to the linked answer, I cannot see any problems concerning the
display of product ads when using the one-adgroup-per-product approach for
shopping campaigns. Please let me know if I am wrong here.

Best regards,
Christian

Re: Updating ad params from xml

2014-07-10 Thread Marina Rabovolick
Dear Danial,

Unfortunately our campains were paused when you did test. Could you look
again at our issue?

We did test with adding default parameter to {param1} - we place
{param1:100} in our Ads. But in this case "100" is always reflected
without dynamic price change.

I will much appreciate if you could help us to understand what we need to
fix in our code.

Thanks in advance

Marina

 Hi guys!

 I have an issue with my script. Earlier it succesfully updated some

 How it works:

 1)Using
 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201309/AdGroupService?wsdl
 I get all group IDs with GET operatior.
 2)Using
 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201309/AdGroupCriterionService?wsdl

 I get BIDDABLE and KEYWORD criterions IDs with GET operatior.
 3)Using
 https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201309/AdParamService?wsdl
 I update all criterions with SET operator with params like:
 $AdParam = array(
 'adGroupId' => $groupID,
'criterionId' => $criterionID,
'insertionText' => $price,
'paramIndex' => 1,
 );

 Variable $price is not empty, but I have empty field instead of price
 value in my Ad.

 I will appreciate if you can help me to find out what is the trouble
 with API and why I can't update my Ads.

 Thanks in advance.

Bug seems to be fixed with v201406. But I have still the following question:

When I try reading ProductSalesChannel and ProductScope, nothing will be

Please help me as well. I'm with the same issue:

As Kevin said in this thread (
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/7ozyAMrQkOk) : "If your
token has not yet been approved, requests made against your test account
(after it has been marked) will succeed. Requests made before it has been
made a test account will fail."

So I think my MCC account needs to be made a test account, although I have
signed up for a test account using the test account link, so I dont know
why this is happening.:

Real MCC Account client ID: 815-775-1530
Test MCC Account client ID: 888-624-6379

Hopeful you can help me,

Thanks in advance.

Account Summary Report error

2014-07-10 Thread Sina Rezaeipour
Hi everyone,

I am trying to use account summary report, but I get the following error
when I run the script:

Invalid reporting query. (line 117)

and lines 117-120 being:

  var report = AdWordsApp.report(

  "SELECT Cost, AverageCpc, Ctr, AveragePosition, Impressions, Clicks " +

  "FROM ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT " +

  "DURING " + during);

I have done everything I could to fix the error, but it's still giving me this
error. Every other part of the code is exact same as here
,
if you are eager to know.

What could be the cause of the problem?

Thank you

API calls reset bidding strategy

2014-07-10 Thread Nir Huberman
I am updating campaigns through the API under one of my MCC child accounts.
Apparently this is causing my manual settings to be reset constantly on a
different campaign under a different child account that is not being
updated by the API.

This is the response I got from support:

"What is happening is that they you are changing the Bidding Settings in
the interface, but when you do any change in your *API* and upload, you
change it back. You have to make sure to re-download the account in*API* before
doing any change (and not Editor as was suggested before)."

How could the API call effect a different account altogether?

Suggestions?

Issue with implementing Click to Call Extension

2014-07-10 Thread Elad
Hi,

We implemented the Click to Call feature via the Feeds in the API.

While we tried to set Placeholder Type CALL in the field ONLY to be true -
it fails to work. We keep getting 'Both' in the UI (image attached).

(Placeholders setting per
- https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/placeholders)

Anyone have a solution for it?

Thanks!

including the full error string?

Re: API calls reset bidding strategy

2014-07-10 Thread Michael Cloonan (AdWords API Team)
Hello,

You cannot alter one account when making calls against a different account.
You are likely erroneously specifying the wrong CID when you are making the
call. Perhaps you are updating an account with information that should be
in a different account. The best way to check this is to log the outgoing
SOAP requests and make sure that the ClientCustomerID in the request
matches the account you actually want to be making changes to.

Mike, AdWords API Team

Re: Missing gclid in CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2014-07-10 Thread Ray Tsang (AdWords API Team)
Hi guys,

In some of the reports
, there
are 2 columns to check: InvalidClicks and InvalidClickRate.
Some of these missing clicks may be marked as invalid - please see if the
numbers matches up closely w/ the clicks that you were not able to find in
the click performance report.

Thanks!

Ray

The OAuth client was disabled

2014-07-10 Thread Shuvi Powers
I'm using the php library to run a simple test to GetCampaigns. I just want
to ensure my authentication works.
I keep getting this error message:
An error has occurred: {
  "error" : "disabled_client",
  "error_description" : "The OAuth client was disabled."
}

Details: I'm trying to do this using my test mcc account.
I've used my production developer token (pending authorizataion)
I've used the test account clientid and client secret.
I was able to successfully retrieve the refresh token.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Re: Missing gclid in CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2014-07-10 Thread Ray Tsang (AdWords API Team)
Sam,

It's very likely that these missing GCLIDs are in fact included in the
invalid clicks. My understanding is that converted GCLIDs may not
necessarily mean that the clicks were counted as valid clicks in the
system. For more information about invalid clicks, please see if these
links are helpful:

Re: The OAuth client was disabled

2014-07-10 Thread Ray Tsang (AdWords API Team)
Shuvi,

Just checking if you are re-using an existing client ID/secret? Or did you
create a new one for the test application?

If the former, please try to create a new one
,
and/or use the developer console to check the status of the application
registration.

Lastly, which version (and language) of the client library are you using?

Thanks,

Re: Vertical ID ADD returned as EntityNotFound.INVALID_ID

2014-07-10 Thread Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

The CONCRETE_TYPE_REQUIRED error occurred because you created an instance
of the base class AdGroupCriterion, but the API expects one of the concrete
implementations (BiddableAdGroupCriterion or NegativeAdGroupCriterion). If
you change your example from:

AdGroupCriterionOperation operation = new AdGroupCriterionOperation();
operation.setOperand(criterion);
operation.setOperator(operator);

to:

BiddableAdGroupCriterionOperation operation = new
AdGroupCriterionOperation();
operation.setOperand(criterion);
operation.setOperator(operator);

then the ADD should succeed.

Cheers,
Josh, AdWords API Team

 Hi,

 Are you using one of our client libraries
  or
 are you generating the SOAP requests manually? I just ran a check with
 the
 Java client library and was able to add a Vertical with verticalId 1252 to
 an ad group without any issues. One possibility is that in the XML you're
 generating the *xsi:type* for the *Vertical* is set to *Criterion*,
 since the CONCRETE_TYPE_REQUIRED error is thrown when the type of the
 Criterion is the base (abstract) superclass Criterion. The client library
 will take care of this for you automatically, but if you're generating the
 requests manually you'll have to set the type yourself.

 If that's not the source of the problem, could you post the request XML
 you are submitting? Please make sure you remove any sensitive information
 such as clientId, clientSecret, refreshToken, etc.

 Thanks,
 Josh, AdWords API Team

Hi,

If you specify partialFailure

*true* then yes, the first one will succeed and the rest will fail. If you
do not specify *partialFailure* or set it to *false*, then all of the
operations will fail and you'll get a SOAP fault.

Re: Authorization Method

2014-07-10 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

Please follow these wiki articles to start using AdWords API with the
latest .NET client library:

1. Getting
started: https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/wiki/Getting-Started
2. Create client id and
secret:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/wiki/How-to-create-OAuth2-client-id-and-secret
3. Generate refresh token and configure your
application:
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/wiki/Using-OAuth2TokenGenerator

Another approach would be to
watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WifY2fFyaMw. It's for migrating the
library from ClientLogin to OAuth2, but the steps to configure the project
using OAuth2 is pretty much the same.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Re: Accessing adwords api from a server c#.net

2014-07-10 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

Could you please try this once more using the latest release
from https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/ ? If you are still
getting the error, you can download the source distribution
from
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-dotnet-lib/releases/download/v18.0.0/awapi_dotnet_lib_src_18.0.0.zip.

Unzip, open the solution, set OAuthTokenGenerator as startup project, run
it and let me know what exception gets thrown.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords API Advisor.

Re: How to retrieve Sitelinks urls.

2014-07-10 Thread Anash P. Oommen (AdWords API Team)
Hi,

You can use the getLinkUrl method of sitelink.
See
https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/docs/reference/adwordsapp/adwordsapp_sitelink

for details. Scripts has a simplified version of FeedServiceInterface, so
you need to rely mostly on the scripts documentation than the API
documentation for this feature.

Cheers,
Anash P. Oommen,
AdWords Scripts Team.

Re: Missing gclid in CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2014-07-10 Thread Hazar Hayat
Ray,

I got your point but if we exclude the missing converted GCLIDs then the
number of leads generated in our system does not math the total converted
clicks shown by Google Adwords in UI and API.Our count of leads is less
then what Google show.One other thing that i noticed that if we upload an
offline conversion for the missing GCLID, Google associate it with some
click and the number of converted clicks increase this means that the click
was not invalid.

I have run the ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for the same date and it shows
only 36 Invalid clicks and the report if have send to you we have 210
missing GCLIDs .Plus we have 1938 clicks in the Click Performance Report
 and 1871 clicks in the ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for the same date and
account.I think there are some data issues in the Click Performance
Report.We have other issue posted here and not fixed yet.

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/adwords-api/CLICK_PERFORMANCE_REPORT|sort:relevance|spell:true/adwords-api/7CuBOUf4HSQ/bRiXdihw1eEJ

Can you clarify why this is happening?

Thanks

When is the release date for Google Adwords Java client library 1.30.0 for the latest Google Adwords API v201406 ?

2014-07-10 Thread Karthik vvs
Hi,

We are currently using v201402 of Google Adwords API. I have seen that
v201406 is the latest update but the client libraries for v201406 has not
been released yet.

We want to upgrade our APIs to this latest version for the successful
functionality of our APIs.

Could you tell us when the client libraries for Google Adwords
v201406 would be released ?
