Hi Chaitanya,

Could you provide screenshots and the complete SOAP request and response
logs when you encountered the error so I could further investigate this?
You may provide them using the *reply privately to author* option.

Re: Getting Error: connect ETIMEDOUT for adgroup performance report

2019-02-11 Thread cv
Hello Josh,

I am using googleads-php-lib.

Also, as a workaround in the meantime, you can increase the timeout in your
requests as described in the reporting section of the library's README
.
->Yes I have done the same to get reports, but that too are timeout. And
to more specific it is taking more than 2 mins to get single campaign
performance report for single day without any segments usage .

Thanks,

RE: Can I use Adwords API in my website to show search volume for a particular keyword

2019-02-11 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Srikant,

You may check our Generating Targeting Ideas guide

for

this. You can retrieve historical statistics for keywords (Average CPC,
Monthly Search Volume, etc.) to help you decide whether to use these
keyword ideas or not. This is equivalent to the Keyword Planner
 in the Google
Ads UI. you may refer to this part

of the guide on how to get monthly search volume.

Should I misunderstood your concern. kindly let me know and elaborate
further so I could better assist you.

Hi,

I have a client who has a Adwords Client Account that we are unable to pull
data for. We traditionally use the ManagedCustomerService endpoint to pull
all the Client Accounts that our clients have access to. However, for this
particular case we are unable to retrieve the account information for them.
We asked them for the 10 digit account code and I wrote the following AWQL
query to try and pull more information about it directly:

SELECT ExternalCustomerId,CustomerDescriptiveName,IsTestAccount,
AccountDescriptiveName,AccountTimeZone FROM ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE ExternalCustomerId = CODE

* Obviously, I replaced "CODE" with that account's 10 digit code.

Sending this request along with the appropriate headers, developer token,
access token, etc. produces an empty string as a result (I have
skipReportHeader, skipColumnHeader, and skipReportHeader set to true). I
know the account exists because when I send in an invalid
ExternalCustomerId I receive the appropriate error of the account not
existing.

Can anyone tell me a reason why the query would return an empty response? I
would love an opportunity to provide more sensitive details to someone
directly at Google so that we can look at the exact account and determine a
reason for this.

Let me know if I can provide any other details.

Thanks.

Hello Philip,

It is the total number of elements in the response page. As a workaround you
could remove the PAGE_SIZE in your request(don't set PAGE_SIZE), so that the
entire result set will be in a single page and then the number of rows in the
response will be equal to the number of elements in the page.

Code snippet in Java:
searchPagedResponse.getPage().getPageElementCount();

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the reply, does this give the row count of the total number of rows

I'm trying to solve is obtaining a total count of all rows that would be

network. Let me know what you think, thanks again.

Hello Phil,

To get the count of the rows without iterating you could use the below code
code snippet for Java. You could use the similar functionality in other client
libraries as well to get the count of the results. Also, the PAGE_SIZE
attribute can be mentioned for the search query to get not more than that many
results in the response. You could refer our sample code to get campaigns in
Java

for reference, code samples in other languages can be found

Code snippet in Java:
 searchPagedResponse.getPage().getPageElementCount();

Account not showing in ManagedCustomerService but is queryable via AWQL

2019-02-11 Thread David Teofilovic

Thanks.

RE: TOO_MANY_CHANGES error when access customersync service

2019-02-11 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Tirtha,

Please find my responses inline:

   1. How small of a time window can i provide to the customersync service?
   The dateTimeRange

is

expected in the following format : MMdd HHmmss. Which means, the
shortest time interval that you can get the changes for is a second.
   2. Any advised best practices when using this service?
   If you are encountering TOO_MANY_CHANGES

error, as you are trying to do, reducing the time interval should help in
getting the changes. If that does not help, you should assume that the
entire object has changed and retrieve the object using the specific
service. If you are trying to gather the performance stats of a new
keywords added during a time frame, you could also have a logic at your
end
to make a note of the keyword ids along with the ad group Id of these
newly

created keywords and use that as a predicate in your report definition.
Please note that CustomerSyncService only supports queries for dates
within

   the last 90 days.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

We have 100s of millions of keywords on adwords. The idea is to download
only the delta and not the full keyword performance report. Hence we are
exploring the customersync service.

Hello Yasemin,

You could login to your AdWords Manager account > Tools > API Center. You
will be able to find the developer token and the access level on that page.
You will need to add this developer token to the ads.properties
 file in
your Java project to make the API calls. You can also find the instructions
to include the developer token in the respective client libraries
 too.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

RE: Getting Error: connect ETIMEDOUT for adgroup performance report

2019-02-11 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

Could you indicate which client library you are using? I ask because we've
seen reports of this today from PHP library users (see this post
 and
this

post
).

Also, as a workaround in the meantime, you can increase the timeout in your
requests as described in the reporting section of the library's README
.

Thanks for the follow-up, unfortunately this will still involve pulling the

Hello Philip,

It is the total number of elements in the response page. As a workaround you
could remove the PAGE_SIZE in your request(don't set PAGE_SIZE), so that the
entire result set will be in a single page and then the number of rows in the
response will be equal to the number of elements in the page.

Code snippet in Java:
searchPagedResponse.getPage().getPageElementCount();

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the reply, does this give the row count of the total number of rows

RE: AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED BigQuery Transfer Service

2019-02-11 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Ethan,

If you are using the Google Ads API
 to make
the API call, you should pass the login-customer-id in the header of the
API call. You could refer this blog post

for

more information.

If you are using AdWords API

then

the USER_

PERMISSION_DENIED

error

occurs, when there is no link between the manager account authenticated in
the request and the client account specified in the headers. Please check
whether you are using the credentials of the right user.

If you are still facing the issue, could you please confirm the API you are
using and error logs/screenshots without redacting any information?

Hello,

You may use the MediaService.get() to get the fileSize

or

the AssetService.get() to get the imagefilesize
.
This attribute is currently not available through the API reports. You can
get the MediaId from the reports and use the API services to get the file

How to get HTML5 public preview URL from the API?

2019-02-11 Thread esteban
Hi guys,

We need to get a public preview URL for our HTML5 ads.

Using AdService:

entries.templateElements.fields.fieldMedia.urls (FULL) gives us an URL that
shows a blank page, but has the source code of what seems to be the ad
preview:
https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/sadbundle/17030416868106482116/index.html

When getting the preview URL from MCC we get exactly what we need to get
via API:

https://adwords.google.com/aw_displayads/creatives/ExternalPreview?hl=es&ad=314045918624&adGroup=61961856469&ocid=243708628&isObfuscatedOcid=false&showMulPreview=true&showVariations=true&creativeType=19&pk=null&sig=ACiVB_zk8Q743_ThgG7g-tPvSu6WYmP__g

We tried building this URL but seems like ocid is a private parameter (also
asked on this URL)
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/1PsVZtuy04s

Thank you,

Get HTML5 public ad preview URL from API

2019-02-11 Thread Juan Pablo Rodriguez
Hi guys!

We are trying to get the preview URL of our HTML5 ads from the API via
AdService.

>From entries.templateElements.fields.fieldMedia.urls we get as FULL url:
https://tpc.googlesyndication.com/sadbundle/17030416868106482116/index.html

Which shows a blank page. From the code it seems like it is what we need.

A real preview URL that we get from the MCSS looks something like this:
https://adwords.google.com/aw_displayads/creatives/ExternalPreview?hl=es&ad=314045918624&adGroup=61961856469&ocid=243708628&isObfuscatedOcid=false&showMulPreview=true&showVariations=true&creativeType=19&pk=null&sig=ACiVB_zk8Q743_ThgG7g-tPvSu6WYmP__g

So basically this one is the one we need, a public preview URL for our
HTML5 ads, but we can't seem to find it via API.

We tried building the URL but have no idea what *ocid *is and looks from
this entry like it is a reserved variable:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/adwords-api/1PsVZtuy04s

Thank you!

TOO_MANY_CHANGES error when access customersync service

2019-02-11 Thread Tirtha Ghosh Dastidar
Hi team,

I am trying to get delta changes from adwords API (using sample code from
https://github.com/googleads/googleads-python-lib/blob/master/examples/adwords/v201809/account_management/get_account_changes.py)

I get error when accessing the changes.
Error message: googleads.errors.GoogleAdsServerFault:
[CustomerSyncError.TOO_MANY_CHANGES @ selector]

1. How small of a time window can i provide to the customersync service?
2. Any advised best practices when using this service?

We have 100s of millions of keywords on adwords. The idea is to download
only the delta and not the full keyword performance report. Hence we are
exploring the customersync service.

RE: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

2019-02-11 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello Philip,

It is the total number of elements in the response page. As a workaround
you could remove the PAGE_SIZE in your request(don't set PAGE_SIZE), so
that the entire result set will be in a single page and then the number of
rows in the response will be equal to the number of elements in the page.

Code snippet in Java:
searchPagedResponse.getPage().getPageElementCount();

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Household income demographic

2019-02-11 Thread anil
Hello,

We are trying to get household income performance data from Adwords so used
Criteria Performance Report with CriteriaType "INCOME_RANGE" for the time
period over 6 months. Adwords account shows data for same time period for
Houehold Income under Demographics.

In API response we only get data of single campaign and single adgroup
which has 0 impressions for "INCOME_RANGE"
For "AGE_RANGE" blank response
For "GENDER" it seems returning correctly.

We want to calculate bids modifier using Household income data and set in
adwords.

Could you please check why we don't get data for "INCOME_RANGE" Criteria
Type? Also like "Age Performance", "Gender Performance" is there any other
report we can use to get Household income data from adwords?

Thanks,

AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIED BigQuery Transfer Service

2019-02-11 Thread Ethan Lyon
** I thought I posted before but cannot seem to find the message so
reposting **

The error:

generic::invalid_argument: Error while processing report for table
'PlacementStats' for account id xxx-xxx-. Http(400) Bad Request; AuthorizationError.USER_PERMISSION_DENIEDhttps://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/adwords-transfer

I've enabled the transfer service, as noted
here: https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/enable-transfer-service.

My email is used as project owner and AdWords account owner. I have Ads
Standard API access, authenticated using my account and enabled the Ads API
in the Google Cloud Project.

I'm not quite sure what more I can do to troubleshoot the issue so any help
would be appreciated.

Permission issues for BigQuery / Ads Transfer Service

2019-02-11 Thread Ethan Lyon
I've followed the instructions
here: https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/working-with-transfers.

BigQuery is enabled, I'm the project and the AdWords MCC owner. "Exclude

that's owned by the account ID.

I've logged in and authenticated on the Transfers page and am receiving the
error:

And I'm also getting this error when running backfill jobs:

Hi,

My apologies if our team can only provide support in English. You are
getting this message because the v201802 of the AdWords API has already
been sunset. You may refer here
 for the
deprecation dates for all versions of the AdWords API.

Moving forward, in order to continue using the AdWords API, you will be
required to migrate to a newer version and preferably the latest one which
is the v201809. You can refer to the migration documentation here
.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
AdWords API Team
