RE: Ad Keeps Showing Default Values

2019-03-13 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Sam,

Ad customizers
,
similar to ads, are subject to approvals as stated in this section
.
That is one of the possible reasons why the updated values are still not
being displayed. However, so I can verify if there were no issues when you
applied the ad customizers via the AdWords API, you may send to me the
complete SOAP request and response logs. You may reply using the *Reply
privately to author* option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

What might be wrong? Thanks!

Hello Bharani,

IN Adwords API I can get the all accounts which are there under MCC with
MCC account credentials.

I have a system where client can link any of his account which has access
to MCC account.
For e.g. MCC email x...@gmail.com has access to 70 other accounts, and I
have system where client can link any one account from 70 account he has
access, How I can list those 70 accounts?

Please let me know if I am unclear.

Thanks,

RE: Device Id or IP Address

Hi Alexis,

I'm afraid there is no way to determine via AdWords API on which device ID
or IP address does the event happen in your Google Ads. The AdWords API
could only detect the device

(device

type only) through reports and not the specific device ID or IP address of
the user.

Hi Charlie,

The RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED error you encountered seems more specific to Java

to post your issue on this link
 as the Java client

Hi Franceso,

No worries, also, thank you for providing more context and welcome to
AdWords as well! My apologies as I didn't understand right away that you
were referring to location extensions
.
You can try and generate the Placeholder Feed Item Report

to

extract their information and you can filter using the PlaceholderType

=

7 (which translates to the location placeholder as seen in this guide

).

In this report, you should be able to retrieve the Clicks

, ClickType

, Cost

, Impressions
,
and other important metrics. Let me know if this is what you're looking for.

Actually, i was referring to the point of view of a customer who clicked on

 guide on click types i have
found (look near the end), i could understand that the local panel is the
landing page for the 'get location details' clicks of the customer on the
Ad, and from that he can perform those described as local actions (the
actions i was interested into).
That's the scenario i had in my mind, sorry if my explanation was a bit
confused, i am new to the whole AdWords world! And please, correct me if i
am wrong on anything i have said.

Thank you again and regards,

RE: About Display Values of SEARCH_STANDARD and VIDEO_NON_SKIPPABLE_IN_STREAM

2019-03-13 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hello,

Yes, that is correct. SEARCH_STANDARD and VIDEO_NON_SKIPPIABLE_IN_STREAM
will both have the display values of Standard. Very rarely do display names
have the same value. You could add a predicate to include/exclude one of
the ad group types in your report or another kind of identifier such as
campaign name.

I will let the team know about this behavior and see if we can make these
values unique.

Ad Keeps Showing Default Values

2019-03-13 Thread sam
When we view our ad through a Google search query, we see our ad with
default headline1, headline2, etc. The ad uses an AdCustomizer feed, and
everything in the ad matches up with what's in the AdCustomizer feed, but
we are still only seeing the default values from the live ad.

What might be wrong? Thanks!

Re: Google Ads API and Universal App Campaigns

2019-03-13 Thread Etleap Dev
Thanks Bharani,

We are also receiving reports that Universal App Campaigns are not getting
pulled for App Performance Report. The documentation seems contradictory on
what is supported for App Campaigns.

This page:
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/mobile-app-campaigns
says that the following reports are available:

   - ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - Campaign Performance report

   - CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_NEGATIVE_KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_NEGATIVE_LOCATIONS_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_NEGATIVE_PLACEMENTS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

and the Ad Performance Report docs
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report#universalappaddescriptions

have fields related to universal app campaigns such as
UniversalAppAdDescriptions
,

suggesting that they can be pulled.

When you say that "Universal App campaigns are not available via Google Ads
API" is that because of a new bug that has cropped up? What is the current
status of App Campaign support?

Thanks,

Jordan

I had this problem a few days ago.

Here is what I found about this error: "This Google AdWords API error
occurs when you try to query an old account that has not been active in
over 15 months. The API will not permit queries to inactive accounts."

Maybe your account is old and no longer used. To correct the error, either
make the account active again (e.g. activate existing campaign).

Google Ads API V1 Sitelink

2019-03-13 Thread rentcafedev1
Hello,

I'm receiving the following error when I try to create a sitelink extension.

Google Error:  Status(StatusCode=InvalidArgument, Detail="Request contains
an invalid argument.")

Please see attached for ExtensionFeedItemOperations request information.

Below is the code I'm using:

string extensionResourceName = string.Empty;
List extensionFeedItem = new
List();
List extensionFeedItemOperations =
new List();

if (SLDataList.Count == 0) { return "Missing SiteLinks"; }

GoogleAdsServiceClient googleAdsService =
Client.GetService(Services.V1.GoogleAdsService);

ExtensionFeedItemServiceClient serviceClient =
Client.GetService(Services.V1.ExtensionFeedItemService);

foreach (SiteLinkData SiteLink in SLDataList )
{

extensionFeedItem.Add(CreateSiteLinkExtensionFeedItem(CreateSiteLinkFeedItem(SiteLink.SiteLinkText,

SiteLink.SiteLinkURL)));
}

extensionFeedItemOperations =
BuildExtensionOperation(extensionFeedItem);

try
{
MutateExtensionFeedItemsResponse response =
serviceClient.MutateExtensionFeedItems(CustomerId.ToString(),
extensionFeedItemOperations.ToArray());
if (response.Results.Count > 0) { extensionResourceName =
response.Results[0].ResourceName; }
}
catch (Exception e)
{
return "Google Error:  " + e.Message + "  StackTrace:  " +
e.StackTrace.ToString();
}
if (extensionResourceName.Length > 0) { return "success"; }
else { return ""; }
}

private SitelinkFeedItem CreateSiteLinkFeedItem(string
SiteLinkText, string SiteLinkURL)
{
return new SitelinkFeedItem()
{
LinkText = SiteLinkText,
//FinalUrls = SiteLinkURL,
Line1 = "Teating stuff",
Line2 = "more testing"

};
}

private ExtensionFeedItem
CreateSiteLinkExtensionFeedItem(SitelinkFeedItem sitelinkFeedItem)
{
return new ExtensionFeedItem()
{
SitelinkFeedItem = sitelinkFeedItem,
Status = FeedItemStatus.Enabled
};
}

private List
BuildExtensionOperation(List extensionFeedItems)
{
List extensionOperations = new
List();

for (int i = 0; i < extensionFeedItems.Count; i++)
{
ExtensionFeedItemOperation extensionOperation = new
ExtensionFeedItemOperation()
{
Create = extensionFeedItems[i]
};
extensionOperations.Add(extensionOperation);
}

return extensionOperations;
}

I'm also unable to set FinalUrls because its read only (see attached).
[DebuggerNonUserCode]
public RepeatedField FinalUrls { get; }

Not sure what I'm missing. I would really appreciate it if someone could
explain how to create a Sitelink extension using Google Ads API V1.

Re: Frequent time outs while accessing Adwords APIs

2019-03-13 Thread Igor Schut
Hi,

We did see a small window where this issue again arise but pretty quickly
resolved itself again. We eventually did not move our software, but earlier
tests did show us that moving from Ireland to Frankfurt would help.

For me this is a red flag: issue was visible for both Carmine and us
whereas we both used AWS in Ireland.

Hope you still find the issue to resolve it.

Best,

Hello Chirag,

The CustomerService.ListAccessibleCustomers

to retrieve only the list of accounts that are directly accessible by your
OAuth credentials. This being said, even if your OAuth credentials have
directly access to your MCC, this service will not include the sub-accounts
under your MCC unless your OAuth credentials has direct access to your
sub-accounts as well. If you still have an issue with this, could you
please share the request and response logs so I can take a closer look? You

How far in the past do these metrics go?
I know we can take an old account (say before 2005) and start reading the
metris, and determine when reasonable data appears.
But... quite often new features are rolled out on different dates, for
instance by country, or first for large accounts.

So my question is, what is the oldest date we can get reliable prominence
metrics?
For instance, 1-1-2019? Earlier?

Thanks!

Yes, the solution here is to upgrade the python client library to the
latest version. I see that you have already followed up with Ben on the
issue . Since
he is already working on the issue, it is best to follow up there. If you
are unable to resolve the issue in a few days, please write back on this

Re: Retrieving local actoins informations using AdWords API

2019-03-13 Thread francesco pietralunga
Hi Peter,
Thank you for the links and for the clarification, now i understand why i
could not find any information about that online!
Actually, i was referring to the point of view of a customer who clicked on
the Ad while scrolling through Google's results. From this
 guide on click types i have
found (look near the end), i could understand that the local panel is the
landing page for the 'get location details' clicks of the customer on the
Ad, and from that he can perform those described as local actions (the
actions i was interested into).
That's the scenario i had in my mind, sorry if my explanation was a bit
confused, i am new to the whole AdWords world! And please, correct me if i
am wrong on anything i have said.

Thank you again and regards,
Francesco

I guess this is a question for Google Ads API Team

This year I cannot attend the Google Ads API Workshops (Only two in Europe,
of which London was booked out, and Munich was organized during public
holidays).
No online attendance either, so I have to rely on video recordings.

Of all the AdWords API workshops, I have attended many, I always found the
Keynote lecture the most informative - usually better than all other
lectures combined.
I also noticed that, of all the recordings of previous AdWords API
workshops, the Keynote lecture was never published.

So my question is, please publish the keynote this time?
Also, how do I know when video recordings are published? It's announced on
the blog?

Thanks!

Thank you for the attached file.
I reproduce my code with Google Ads API V1.0 and it's working fine.

Just a quick question, do you think that I should use Google Ads Api in the
future or continue with Google AdWords?
Cause between us I think I will migrate to Google Ads

Thanks :)

Google Ads API workshops: please publish a video from the keynote?

2019-03-13 Thread Zweitze

It's announced on
the blog?

Thanks!

Re: How to fix SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED problem.

2019-03-13 Thread SK
Hello,
I have started to receiver exactly same error since the developer token was
approved. I have a process that uploaded hashed info for customer re
marketing to Ads API, it worked fine on test, but since the developer token
has been approved (which we needed in order to move the process to
production environment), calls have started to fail in test & in production
with below message.

Request failed due to ApiException. Underlying ApiErrors:

  Error 0: AuthorizationError{apiErrorType=AuthorizationError,
errorString=AuthorizationError.SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED, fieldPath=,
reason=SERVICE_ACCESS_DENIED, trigger=}
The documentation suggest that 'developer doesn't have access to this
service', which to us is a bit strange (like explained above). Also, in the
production account > Tools > Account Access, nothing seems different than
before.
Could you help or direct please?
Thank you.

Re: Average Position availability in API post deprecation in 2H 2019

2019-03-13 Thread Zweitze
I have a related question on this subject - so I prefer to continue in this
thread.

Like Leon we now use AveragePosition for analysis, and we consider to shift
to these Prominence Metrics too.
But our goal is long term analysis.

Earlier?

Thanks!

About Display Values of SEARCH_STANDARD and VIDEO_NON_SKIPPABLE_IN_STREAM

2019-03-13 Thread 井上剛志

Hi,

There is confirmation about AdGroupType of Adgroup Performance report.

In the following documents, the display values of SEARCH_STANDARD and
VIDEO_NON_SKIPPIABLE_IN_STREAM are both described as Standard.

-
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/adgroup-performance-report#adgrouptype

We recognize that the display values of SEARCH_STANDARD have been
Standard before, but does VIDEO_NON_SKIPPIABLE_IN_STREAM also become
Standard?

I want to know the exact display values of VIDEO_NON_SKIPPIABLE_IN_STREAM.

Best Regards,

Tsuyoshi Inoue

Re: Shopping campaign setup via API

2019-03-13 Thread Joe Stedman
There are a few tools out there that do this already but are built on the
AdWords API. (I even built one myself).
I think the Google Ads API has a few limitations. eg. I don't think it can
subdivide by product category yet. Might be worth waiting til V2.

Re: escape square brackets in Google Ads Query Language Grammar

2019-03-13 Thread Artur
Hello Dannison,

I am using LIKE operator to look for items that have a specific character
pattern at the beginning (it includes square bracket characters). square
brackets in LIKE operator are wildcard characters and to use them as a
literal character I have to escape those.

e.g.
normally this would work in SQL but it does not work in the Google Ads
Query:
SELECT campaign.id,campaign.name FROM campaign WHERE campaign.name LIKE '[
*[]*campaign-with-brackets*]%*'

thank you & best regards
Artur

Unrecognized version for the AdWords API.

2019-03-13 Thread Green Leaf
Hi

I am getting the following error:

GoogleAdsValueError: Unrecognized version for the AdWords API. Given: v201809
Supported: ['v201710', 'v201802', 'v201806']

I see in other similar questions that the solution is to upgrade the library
(using Python).

I tried to do that back in January and it failed. I have posted in the
appropriate forum about that issue
(https://github.com/googleads/googleads-python-lib/issues/364) but still no
resolution.

Is there any other options I can look at?

Many thanks

2019-03-13 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Hiromi,

There is currently an on-going discussion about a connection error in the
AdWords API. To further confirm this, could you provide the complete SOAP
request and response logs when you encountered this error? You may provide
them using the *reply privately to author* option.

Dannison

Hi,

Is the AdWords API status not healthy today?
As reported, GMail, GDrive, and Google Cloud Platform have some disruption
today. Is it related?

https://status.cloud.google.com/

I want to know whether the error is occurring in your side or ours.
Or, I'll be happy if you launch "AdWords API status page" ...

Thank you,

Hiromi
