Hi,

Yes, that's correct. If you use ad_group_criterion, you won't be able to use
metrics or segments. You will need to use managed_placement_view to get metrics
and segments for placements at the ad group level. If you want automatic
placements, you can use group_placement_view.

Re: fetching Conversion Actions list

2019-08-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Michele,

If you're using Google Ads API, please find the query below to pull the
conversion actions:
SELECT conversion_action.category, conversion_action.id,
conversion_action.name, conversion_action.status FROM conversion_action

If you're using AdWords API, the code snippet in Java should be helpful to
build a similar request in the client library you are using:

SelectorBuilder builder = new SelectorBuilder();
Selector selector = builder
.fields(ConversionTrackerField.values())
.orderAscBy(CampaignField.Name)
.offset(offset)
.limit(PAGE_SIZE)
.build();
ConversionTrackerPage page
page = campaignService.get(selector);

Please refer to the similar code sample in PHP as a reference. Code samples in
other languages can be found here. Could you please give this a try and let us
know if you encounter any issues?

Re: Campaign IDs in Google Ads should be treated as 64-bit integers

2019-08-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Greetings!

Our blog post
(https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2019/07/campaign-ids-and-budget-ids-as-64-bit.html)
 gives an overview of what is needed from the API side in that it gives you the
IDs overall affected by this. Just to summarize from the blog post with what it
means to you:

Background:

The Google Ads API and AdWords API expose campaign IDs as 64-bit in its types
in both reporting and mutates.
However, on our back-end, we've historically stayed under 32-bit and now we're
moving to the 64-bit range.

You Next Steps:

Verify in your systems and in your applications that wherever you store, pass
on, or display the campaign ID that it is the same type as what we show in
AdWords API or Google Ads API with a size of 64-bits.
Verify anywhere were you may store, pass on, or display the ValueTrack
parameter that contains the campaign ID can handle the 64-bit size.

This change has already been rolling out, so you should also check logs to make
sure there you aren't seeing errors in your systems if you haven't covered the
next steps above.

The key takeaway is that if you store, pass on, or display the campaign ID,
budget ID, asset ID, or shared set ID from Google Ads anywhere, then you need
to make sure that you are allowing for large numbers up to 64-bit. This change
affects all interfaces from the Google Ads UI to our APIs to Google Ads Scripts
to Google Ads Editor. This means if Hubspot is using Google Ads, then they need
to make sure they can handle 64-bits in the ID. The good news is that we have
had this in our documentation for a long time that it should be this size, so
people have been coding to that documentation for a long time and remain
unaffected by this change.

I hope that helps clear it up a bit.

Take care,
Nadine, Google Ads API Team

Hello,

I don't seem to be able to get a GAQL query working, but that's alright
since we'll be focusing on the AdWords API for now..
But I'm having issues with those too: the ConversionTrackerService doesn't
seem to return trackers not included in Conversions, no matter the values I
pass in the predicates, e.g.
'predicates': [{'field': 'ExcludeFromBidding',
   'operator': 'IN',
   'values': ['TRUE', 'FALSE']

Thank you for the help

Re: Adwords API Ad Strength

2019-08-09 Thread Reggie Pasco
Hi,

Thanks for your response.
I am currently testing the options you gave me using a Sandbox Account and
AdWords API.
I am creating Ads on the Adwords Site itself and using the API to retrieve
their Ad Strength.
On the Adword Site, the Ads I've created are 1 Responsive Search Ad with
"Poor" Ad Strength and 1 Responsive Display Ad with "Average" Ad Strength.

On the AdPerformanceReport, the AdStrengthInfo field shows
"QUALITY_SCORE_UNKNOWN" for the Responsive Display Ad and "Pending" for
Responsive Search Ad.

Using the adGroupAdService.get(selector), I am getting "null" for the
MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAds and "PENDING" for the ResponsiveSearchAd.

How can I retrieve the right Ad Strength same as from what is displayed in
the UI site?

Please advise.

Thanks.

How to update image asset to an app campaign

2019-08-09 Thread 'Rita Wang' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

A key API use case of the client is to optimize the campaign by
replacing the bad performance assets with new one.

When client try to modify the image assets to an AC campaign via Adwords
API, they met following issue.
Since the headlines and descriptions are mandatory with Operators: ADD (ss
), the client made a try
with Operator: SET:

const operations = [{
operator: 'SET',
operand: {
adGroupId: data.adGroup.id ,
status: 'ENABLED',
policySummary: {},
labels: [],
baseCampaignId: data.campaignId,
baseAdGroupId: data.adGroup.id ,
forwardCompatibilityMap: [],
adStrengthInfo: {},
ad: {
images: [{
asset: {
'xsi:type': 'ImageAsset',
assetId: '647x11',
},
}],
},
},
}];
const ret = await adGroupAdService.mutate({operations: operations});

Get error:

Error: cvc-complex-type.2.4.d: Invalid content was found starting with
element 'ad'. No child element is expected at this point.

Would you provide a code sample to the client?

Thanks,

RE: campaign cost data report group by regions

2019-08-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

On the AdWords API perspective, we have:

Geo Performance Report : Includes all statistics aggregated at the
country/territory level, one row per country/territory. You may also filter
this report by CampaignId, CampaignName.
Campaign Location Target Report : Summarizes the performance of campaigns by
location-based CampaignCriterion.

You may also refer to this mapping guide to see the concepts and naming
conventions for reports in the Google Ads UI to the comparable AdWords API
reports. Specifically, you may check the Geographic Report and User Locations
Report section for the Geo Performance Report, Campaigns Location Target Report
section for the Campaign Location Target Report.

Please let me know if you have further clarifications.

RE: Error when fecthing a report for Google ad

2019-08-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Antoine,

The CUSTOMER_SERVING_TYPE_REPORT_MISMATCH error occurs when you are trying to
make a report against a manager account. The AdWords API reports, such as the
Search Query Performance Report, can only be obtained for client (non-manager)
accounts.

This said, could you verify on your end if you are indeed using the customer ID
of the Google Ads client account in your report definition? If yes and the
issue is still persisting, please provide the complete report definition with
the customer ID via Reply privately to author option so I can further check.

As I can see, you are still distributing all of your contributors Google

If you are not willing or able to fix this privacy violation, you probably

Hi Gary,

Thank you for posting your question in our forum. However, our team only
provides support for AdWords / Google Ads API related concerns only. If you are
referring to this recent blog post, and if you are currently maintaining an
application which uses or stores AdWords entity IDs (as specified in the post),
then I would recommend that you apply the changes mentioned in the blog to
avoid any issues.

Hi,

So I can better assist you, could you provide more details about the
subscription you are trying to cancel? If this is in relation to your Google
Ads account, I would recommend that you reach out to the product experts via
the Google Ads Community Forum as they should be able to provide guidance
regarding this matter.

Hi Suresh,

Thank you for contacting support.

I am afraid updating the images using the MediaService is not possible since
the SET operator is currently not supported. The only solution for this is to
create another Image and assign this to each of your ads if you want to change
the image of your ad.

RE: Getting a lot of "Credential could not be refreshed." errors

2019-08-09 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi David,

Thanks for posting your concern.

Could you confirm if you are also experiencing the 'invalid_grant' error? If
yes, this error usually encountered when the refreshToken is already expired.
This said, I would like to recommend that you re-generate all your OAuth2
credentials including the client_id and client_secret and retry your request.

If the error persists after re-generating your credential, you may reply the
complete SOAP request and response logs together with the customer ID and the
email address you've used when generates your OAuth2 credentials via Reply
privately to author option so I can further investigate.

Error when fecthing a report for Google ad

2019-08-09 Thread Antoine Rayer
Hi,

I am having an error when I try to fetch a report from the API.
As you can see on the attached file I have an error.
For the record, I have the basic account and the token.

I try to reach the customer service and they redirect me here.

If you have any idea how to solve my problem, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.
