Re: GCLID Converison mapping

2020-07-01 Thread cv
Hi Mitchell,

Ok.

So If I need to map conversion to GCLID or need to check which search term
is associated with I need to check for impression date? Or Conversion date
recorded in my CRM?

In Google Ads which conversion date should be consider? Is it impression
date or actual conversion received date?

Thanks,

What is this App ID used for in Customer Match Processing?

Transfer from Google Ads to BigQuery Discrepancy from UI

2020-07-01 Thread Becky Monraz
Hi, we've setup a Google Ads transfer to BigQuery for multiple reports.

When comparing our Campaign report from BigQuery to the UI, we notice a
large discrepancy in metrics for March 2020. We've traced most of the
discrepancy to one specific campaign. For some reason, all metrics for this
specific campaign do not match the results of our BQ campaign query, when
compared to UI.

Seems like most recent 3 months have discrepancies, where prior months
match exactly.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know how to resolve this?

Thank you in advance!!

RE: Impression count UI vs API - gaps of a factor of ~2

2020-07-01 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Tal,

Thank you for reaching out. The keyword planner UI and TrafficEstimatorService
actually run on different back-end systems so it is expected that their results
will differ even with the same settings. With that in mind, I will answer your
questions below:

Yes, that is correct. Is is the estimated metrics per day.
No, it is not necessarily the estimate for tomorrow or any specific day. Just
the projected average daily amount.
You should use the networkSettings to specify your desired search networks. If
not set, it will default to just targetGoogleSearch.
You can specify the match types in the UI by using the symbols explained here.
Making sure the network and match type settings are the same should help but as
I mentioned, it is expected that the values would be different.
There are no reports for the TrafficEstimatorService. You can only see the
values returned in the TrafficEstimatorResult.

Different Data Between Adwords Reporting API and Google Ads Interface

2020-07-01 Thread Alex Luis Arias
I'm pulling the Keyword Performance Report via the API for one my keywords.

My keyword is a broad match with id: 23764625256
When I look at the ad spend for the last 7 days in the UI for that specific
keyword id I see way more than $100 in spend.
When I pull via the API for Keyword Performance Report for the same keyword
using the Original Keyword Id to filter I see $0 in spend and every other
metric for the last 7 days.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

We need to whitelist our manager account to use the BudgetOrderService API.

2020-07-01 Thread Dimitris Anagnostopoulos
We need to be able to use the Budget Order Service for our use of the api.
For that it is required that you whitlist our manager account as suggested
here https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/budget-order.

"The manager account is not whitelisted to use the BudgetOrderService API.
Contact your Google representative for access to the API service."

We need this to able to link payment profiles to our subaccounts through
the api. The MCC's id is 136-019-5884.

Thank you!

Hi,

As explained here, the GCLIDs will show in Google Ads (and the Click
Performance Report) on the impression date of the original click. Not the date
of the conversion or the upload. Please make sure you take this into account
when comparing the report data to your own.

Impression count UI vs API - gaps of a factor of ~2

2020-07-01 Thread Tal Lipits

[Note: I do know that this is not the first time the topic is raised,
however I didn't see in the replies a solution for my problem, so I'm
raising it again]

Hi,

Comparing the impression count I get using UI (keyword planner - forecast)
vs the API (TrafficEstimatorService), I notice gaps – roughly a factor of 2.

For example:

   - Keyword=’55 inch tv’  UI Impressions= 4,282

   API impressionsPerDay (average of max and min)= 1965
   - Keyword=’baby stuff’ UI Impressions= 2,313

   API impressionsPerDay (average of max and min)= 899
   - Keyword=’converse boots’  UI Impressions= 1,548
   API impressionsPerDay (average of max and min)= 906

Config:

   - UI:
  - Locations: United States
  - Language: English
  - Max CPC:10 (my currency)
  - Date: July 2, 2020
  - And also:
 - Search networks: Google
  - API (campaignEstimateRequest):
  - Locations: United States
  - Language: English
  - microAmount: 10,000,000
  - Date - I executed the script that accessed the API today (July 1,
  2020)
  - And also:
 - matchType: BROAD
  - In both cases I use the same client account

Questions:

   1. In the API - I didn’t specify: date. I understand that the API
   returns the impression results per day. Is that correct?
   2. Is the API based estimation made per the subsequent date of current
   date (i.e. impression estimates for tomorrow)?
   3. In the API - I didn’t specify: search networks. Can this be a cause
   for the gaps?
   4. In the UI - I didn’t specify: matchType (may be I missed this setting
   elsewhere). Can this be a cause for the gaps?
   5. Any idea why I see these gaps?
   6. How do I create report definition

 to
   see some more data?

Thanks a lot,
Tal

get Campaigns BiddingStrategyConfiguration

2020-07-01 Thread Bruno Javier Gaineddu
Hi, I have the following issue:

I am consulting the data of my campaigns, through the "CampaignService", I
get all the data correctly, except for the "BiddingStrategyConfiguration"
that returns null.

Effectively, the campaigns have the Strategy configured, but for api I
can't get the data.

Do I have to have any special permission on the token?

Hello there,
Unfortunately, I think that we misunderstand.
In our previous conversation you gave me instructions how I can link my
individual Google Ads Account to Manager account manually (by sending
invitation in Manager Account settings).
My goal is to have access to multiple accounts from my Manager Account like
it is described here:
https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6139186?visit_id=637291791366918653-1144634564=1#MCC_invite
.
I would like create ads for my clients and link their account to my Manager
Account automatically (in background) and I think it's possible using
instructions describes below
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/account-management/linking-manager-accounts

I'm trying to create link (in pending status) but something is going wrong,
could you take a look in my code?

$customerClientLink = new CustomerClientLink(
[
'client_customer' => new StringValue(
['value' => ResourceNames::forCustomer(8322203725)]
),
'status' => ManagerLinkStatus::PENDING
]);

$customerClientLinkOperation = new CustomerClientLinkOperation();
$customerClientLinkOperation->setCreate($customerClientLink);

$customerClientLinkServiceClient =
$this->googleAdsClient->getCustomerClientLinkServiceClient();
$response =
$customerClientLinkServiceClient->mutateCustomerClientLink(8322203725,
$customerClientLinkOperation);

Shopping listing groups subdivision suggestions using Google Ads API

2020-07-01 Thread Grzegorz Mausolf

Hi,

we are working on Shopping campaign automation using Google Ads API v3.

When creating campaigns and ad groups in the UI, Google Ads offers a nice
interface to subdivide the product groups by brand, condition, product
type, etc... It also suggests the values based on the actual products from
the linked Merchant Center.

We know how to create product groups (listing groups) using Google Ads API,
but how can we get the same suggestions (for actual available VALUES)? Is
this feature only available in the UI and we are stuck with using Content
API to fetch all the products first and build the list of brands, products
types, etc. ourselves beforehand?

Thanks for any insights!

How to do date filter while fetching metrics on Adgroup

2020-07-01 Thread sudhakar dadi
Hi,

I want to apply filter on adgroup metrics on date bases . I can see in
documentation it is possible to apply filter on date bases using
Segments.date field.
Here my doubt is, If I give 2018-04-17 in my query, do I get that metrics
of particular date or total metrics of adgroup from Campaign start date to
this date?
How do I get metrics of a period/ multiple days? (If above returns metrics
of that particular date)

Thanks in Advance

Regards
Sudhakar
