Re: correct account remaining credit

2020-08-31 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Inna,

Apologies for the delay - I'm a Developer Programs Engineer on the Google Ads
API jumping in here to help with your problem.

I was wondering if you could give me a bit more background on where you got the
equation: spendingLimit - totalAdjustments - Cost = remaining balance

Based on the documentation spendingLimit should already include
totalAdjustments when retrieved via a BudgetOrderService.get. You should only
need to subtract totalAdjustments when trying to determine the amount that was
originally set before adjustments were applied.

With that said, adjusting your equation below still doesn't yield the same
values, thought they appear closer. I think it's possible that there may always
be slight differences between the values retrieved in the API and what's
visible via the UI. I'm going to try to get some better information on that and
will follow up, meanwhile let me know if updating your equation to remove
totalAdjustments is helpful.

Thanks,
Ben Karl, Google Ads API Team

I forgot a detail: additionally, if I add AdvertisingChannelType to the

RE: Smart Campaigns

2020-08-31 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. In Google Ads API, you could query the
campaign.advertising_channel_type from the campaign resource to identify the
Smart Campaigns and Shopping Campaigns. In Adwords API, you could query the
AdvertisingChannelType field from the Campaign Performance Report to identify
the Shopping Campaigns. The Smart Campaigns could not be identified in the
Adwords API. Our top priority right now is to get the new Google Ads API ready
for general availability. As such, we aren't planning on adding enhancements to
the AdWords API, but we will continue to fully support it, and address any bugs
as they are found.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Missing data in AdGroups Performance Report

2020-08-31 Thread Julio Rangel
Hi, Nirmita

I'm facing an issue similar to Mounir's. It happens that in one same
account we have app campaigns and remarketing campaigns, however when
downloading the report (via API) the data doesn't include app campaigns; if
I ask for ConversionTypeName in either Account or Budget report, through
this request body:

# Python script
report_query = (adwords.ReportQueryBuilder()
  .Select('AccountDescriptiveName',
   'ConversionTypeName',
   'Impressions', 'Clicks',
   'Cost', 'Interactions','Conversions','Engagements')
 .From('BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT')   # .From(
'ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT')
 .During(start_date=since,end_date=until)
 .Build())

I get a reportDownloadError that starts like this and lists all of the
incompatible metrics:

 "*Cannot select a combination of ConversionTypeName and
AverageCost,AverageCpc,AverageCpe,AverageCpm...*"

Using the API, is it any way I can get my app campaigns related data either
together with the other campaigns or separately?

Kind regards,
Julio

Bulk sending operations via mutate and checking current api connections

2020-08-31 Thread Darren thinkston
Hi,

Firstly I wanted to check that I have this right as we were recently rate
limited for 24 hours as our automation program has grown. I modified it so
that in theory it just does one call instead of x calls per keyword bid.

In a nutshell what I have done is built multiple operators for
the AdGroupCriterionOperation Like :

$operation = new AdGroupCriterionOperation();
$operation->setOperand( $adGroupCriterion );
$operation->setOperator( Operator::SET );
$operations[] = $operation;

Into the $operations array and sent them in one single mutate like :

$adGroupCriterionService->mutate( $operations );

I wanted to confirm that this will make just one call to the API and that
it doestn unpack it and count the operations as calls.

Also is there a way for me to check how many calls we're making and from
where it may be coming from?
e.g. 100 request to AdGroupCriterionService

API and Library Support for App engagement type campaigns

2020-08-31 Thread sanketta...@gmail.com
Hi,

I have been working on the account which has the App engagement type
campaigns. The support notified me that the App engagement is not supported
in the Adwords API. However, I would be able to generate the report on the
campaign level in the Google Ads API.

Can you guide me on which version of Google Ads API is most stable and
reliable since I saw that Google Ads is in beta version?

Also, I'm using Java to build a tool that will fetch App engagement data.
Can you also provide me with the stable and reliable Java version of the
Google Ads library?

It would be really helpful if you could provide me with the links for both.

Thanks,
Sanket

Data discrepancies ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT and Adwords UI Report

2020-08-31 Thread 'Aleksandr Aksenov' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

We have discrepancies in `Impressions` values between API
`ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT` and Adwords UI Report.
UI Report configured with next fields:
*Row* `Account`, `Customer ID`, `Device`,  `Network (with search
partners)`, `Day`, `Hour of Day`
*Column* `Clicks`, `Impressions`, `CTR`, `Avg. CPC`, `Cost`, `Avg. CPM`
API report request:
```
curl --http1.1 --header "Authorization : Bearer <123>" --header
"developerToken : <345>" --header "clientCustomerId: <567>" --header
"includeZeroImpressions: FALSE" --data "__rdquery=SELECT
Ctr,Quarter,DayOfWeek,Impressions,AdNetworkType1,Device,HourOfDay,AverageCpm,Cost,Date,Month,ClickType,Conversions,Year,AverageCpc,Interactions,Clicks,Week,InteractionTypes
FROM  ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING 20200707,20200707&__fmt=CSV"
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201809
```
Even if we use only `Impressions`, `HourOfDay` and `Date` fields in API
request, Impressions still do not match to UI report.
Btw, `Impressions` between different API reports looks the same (for
example, ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT vs ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT).
UI report usually has more Impressions than API report.

Can you explain why Impressions do not match?

AWQL query Python List Variable

2020-08-31 Thread Green Leaf

Hi

Could someone help me to code this AWQL query using Python.

I want to add a variable containing a list.

So this works - AND KeywordTextMatchingQuery - IN ['keyword 1', 'keyword 2']

And if a single keyword is a variable, then this works - AND
KeywordTextMatchingQuery = " +"'"+ keyword_variable_example +"'"+ "

But if the list is a variable I can’t concatenate it.

I found this (
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/E7eF1AZc8Mw/m/nqSX9AB0BwAJ) but
can’t make it work with the grammer/style that I’m using.

Can anyone help?
