RE: Country/City Field errors in GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

2021-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Shiva,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Upon checking on the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT's documentation, both
CityCriteriaId and CountryCriteriaId returns the ID of the Location associated
with the impression and not the actual Country/City strings. From that guide
also, you can look up the corresponding name and other information using
LocationCriterionService.

As an aside, please note that the AdWords API is deprecated and will be sunset
on April 27, 2022. We strongly recommend that you migrate to the Google Ads API
as soon as possible.

RE: INTERNAL_ERROR when querying search_term_view

2021-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Demi,

I work with Peter and will assist you. Thank you for sending us your logs
privately. I reproduced the issue with your big account and raised it with my
team. We will get back to you on this as soon as possible.

Regarding dates in the 'where' clause, here's the error description -
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v8/QueryErrorEnum.QueryError?hl=en#expected_filters_on_date_range.
 Date ranges gives you only 2 options to state a range of dates, a range or a
predefined. Nevertheless the guide doesn't explicitly exclude using one date
that happens to create a finite range. I will bring this also up with my team.
You may monitor Date ranges for an update.

Re: Asset-Based extensions device preference?

2021-10-13 Thread duca...@gmail.com
Hi Aryeh and team,

I would like to share my feedback here.

For this asset-based AdExtension migration, Google is taking a really
aggressive way. I know maybe there are urgencies from Google side to force
this migration, but we need at least make sure API is fully supported. To
me the base line is that whatever data from Feed based AdExtension, we
should be able to fetch them from asset-based AdExtension from Google Ads
API. This is probably the most basic requirement to Google Ads API.

This thread only surfaces one of the API issues, there are a few other
related thread in this forum. You can take a look at this feedback as well
Asset-based Structured Snippet Advanced Options (google.com)

I highly suggest Google to think twice before force upgrade, as per my
understanding once data is migrated to asset-based AdExtension there is no
way to migrate back and hence customers (and tool providers) will lose the
ability to manager their specific data from Google Ads API.

Thanks and appreciate for listening to the feedbacks.

Caihua.

The same operation works using Google Ads Web UI with the same user.

Re: DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED - Google Ads

2021-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Martin,

This is Yasar and I work with Aryeh. Let me assist you with this.

Kindly note that you may not be able to test the conversions using test
accounts as they do not serve ads. You need to have a production account for
this functionality. Please refer to this guide for uploading conversions via
API.

Note that you would need a production access level for your developer token in
order to call conversion upload service API requests against the production
account. That said, you can complete this form to have a basic access level for
your developer token and make sure you have followed these steps below:

Ensure that you already have a developer token with test account access level.
Ensure that the API Contact Email in the API center is up-to-date. You will not
be able to complete the application process without a valid, regularly checked
Developer Contact Email. Ensure you have linked all of your active Google Ads
accounts to the manager account with the API token.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Yasar

InvalidArgument when migrating from AdWords to Ads API v8

2021-10-13 Thread Roy Yin
Hi,

we need some help at Google Ads API configuration, we developed an
integration using Google AdWords that will auto create Google Ads customers
and we are migrating to Google Ads API v8 recently. After the change, the
request to get a customer ID failed with below error message:

{
  "StatusCode": 3,
  "Details": "Request contains an invalid argument.",
  "RequestId": "_GphQ-gsNj0jQGn1ldN_Yg",
  "Failure": {
"errors": [
  {
"errorCode": {
  "requestError": "INVALID_CUSTOMER_ID"
},
"message": "Invalid customer ID '472-xxx-'."
  }
],
"requestId": "_GphQ-gsNj0jQGn1ldN_Yg"
  }
}

that customer ID is a Test Manager Account that we used before during the
development, now it has a strange status as shown in the below screenshot,
could that be the reason that it is showing this error? If yes, how can we
solve this situation?

[image: Screenshot 2021-10-13 220347.png]

This is our implementation that is throwing this error:

public Result GetSubAccountId(PdCompany company, PdDeal deal)
 {
var result = Result.Ok();
var config = new GoogleAdsConfig
{
DeveloperToken = Config.GoogleAdsDeveloperToken,
OAuth2Scope = "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords;,
OAuth2ClientId = Config.GoogleOAuth2ClientId,
OAuth2ClientSecret = Config.GoogleOAuth2ClientSecret,
OAuth2RefreshToken = Config.GoogleOAuth2RefreshToken
};
var adsClient = new GoogleAdsClient(config);
var svc = adsClient.GetService(Services.V8.GoogleAdsService);

var response = svc.Search(Config.GoogleAdsClientCustomerId, $@"
SELECT  customer.id
FROM customer
WHERE   customer.descriptive_name =
'{GetSubAccountName(company, deal)}'");

result.Success = response.Any();
if (result.Success)
{
result.Data = response.First().Customer.Id.ToString();
}
return result;
}

PERMISSION_DENIED/AUTHORIZATION_ERROR

2021-10-13 Thread Esther Brodt
Hi,
I'm using the PHP API.

We recently implemented conversion adjustments successfully, and now we're
in the process of migrating the rest our system from Adwords API to Google
Ads API.

The problem is that I am getting an authorization error that I am not
getting with the conversion adjustments, even though I'm using the same
credentials.
I put everything in one script to demonstrate this:

fromFile(SYSTEM_BASEDIR.'/include/global/config/adsapi_php.ini')
->build();

$env = parse_ini_file(SYSTEM_BASEDIR
.'include/global/config/adsapi_php.ini');

$googleAdsClient = (new GoogleAdsClientBuilder())
->withDeveloperToken($env['developerToken'])
->withLoginCustomerId(MAIN_ACCOUNT)
->withOAuth2Credential($oAuth2Credential)
->build();

/ CONVERSION ADJUSTMENT */
$conversion_adjustment = new ConversionAdjustment([
'conversion_action' => ResourceNames::forConversionAction(MAIN_ACCOUNT,
CONVERSION_ACTION_ID),
'adjustment_type' => ConversionAdjustmentType::RESTATEMENT,
'order_id'=>123456,
'adjustment_date_time' => date("Y-m-d H:i:sP", strtotime("-1 hour"))
]);

$conversion_adjustment->setRestatementValue(new RestatementValue([
'adjusted_value' => 25
]));

$conversionAdjustmentUploadServiceClient =
$googleAdsClient->getConversionAdjustmentUploadServiceClient();

$response =
$conversionAdjustmentUploadServiceClient->uploadConversionAdjustments(
SUB_ACCOUNT,
[$conversion_adjustment],
true
);

if (!is_null($response->getPartialFailureError()))
{
echo " Conversion Adjusment Failure:\n";
$failure = GoogleAdsFailures::fromAny
($response->getPartialFailureError()->getDetails()[0]);

foreach($failure->getErrors() as $error)
{
echo $error->getMessage()."\n";
}
}

/** REPORTING */
$googleAdsServiceClient = $googleAdsClient->getGoogleAdsServiceClient();

$query =
"SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign ORDER BY campaign.id";

try {
$results = $googleAdsServiceClient->search(SUB_ACCOUNT, $query);
} catch (Exception $e)
{
echo "\n- Reporting Failure:\n";
echo $e->getMessage()."\n";
}

?>

The output of the script is:
 Conversion Adjusment Failure:
This customer does not have a conversion action of a supported
ConversionActionType that matches the conversion action provided.

- Reporting Failure:
{
"message": "The caller does not have permission",
"code": 7,
"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED",
"details": [

"@type": 0,
"data":
"type.googleapis.com\/google.ads.googleads.v8.errors.GoogleAdsFailure"
},
{
"@type": 0,

"errorCode": {
"authorizationError": "AUTHORIZATION_ERROR"
},
"message": "Authorization of the client failed."
}
]
},
{
"@type": 0,
"data": "78NI7HKIqEHMk8aFSsbcWg"
}
]
}

I'm not concerned with the conversion adjustment failure, since it's a dev
account.
Please advise regarding the authorization error.

Thank you.

Why am I getting this error on a test account?

Is there away around this, as I need to dev and test uploading Customer

Thanks for looking into this!

Removing the [ works for the request but is it by design that special

RE: Which status does the disapproved ad refer to?

2021-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Ryo,

The AdGroupAdStatus that you are referring to indicates the status of the ad
entity in your account, and is not related to the ad's approved/disapproved
status. To retrieve the approval status, you will need to refer to the
policy_summary (AdGroupAdPolicySummary) instead.

This should also be available in the ad_group_ad report through the
ad_group_ad.policy_summary.approval_status field. I hope this helps.

RE: How to get ad_group_asset data?

2021-10-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

As per this guide, RSA is associated in the ad level and not in the ad group
level. Ad-level performance metrics for assets are aggregated in the
ad_group_ad_asset_view. Unfortunately, the ad_group_ad_asset_view currently
supports AdGroupAdAssetView for AppAds and not for RSA assets. We have already
raised a feature request for this; however, there is no guarantee if this will
be supported in the API soon. Having said that, we suggest that you keep an eye
on our blog for updates and new releases.

Yes, sure

Customer ID = 9113729509

I also send the private message with ConversionTrackerId for which the
anomaly occurs and the AdId that appears in the second response.

As I wrote earlier, in the case of these two requests, there is not a
splitting of one AdId into several rows, but the appearance of a new AdId,
which was not in the first response.
