Re: Google Ads Api - Remove Final URLs From Keyword

2022-01-10 Thread Evaldas Gudavičius
Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried many variants like:

- ['']
- ''
-['-']
etc. But none of these did the job.

Could you please share with me a little more information on how can I get
the Request ID of my operation? And also how can I get request and response
Logs?

And how can I send you a private?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

Generally, installs metrics are currently not supported in the Google Ads API.
A feature request was already raised for its support, and you may keep an eye
on our blog for updates and announcements.

For more information on the currently supported metrics, you may refer to this

Get search volumes for all available months

2022-01-10 Thread Xinyi Guo
Hi, I noticed Google Ads API monthly_search_volumes[] only provides search
volume of a query for the past 12 months.

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v9/KeywordPlanHistoricalMetrics

But in the Keyword Planner tool it is possible to pull search volume of all
available months for almost 4 years.
https://www.screencast.com/t/1yfc2WXs7U

Is there a way to pull the same data through API?
Thanks.

Best,
Corrine

How to get the name of a CustomerLabel?

2022-01-10 Thread Oliver
Hi,

Apologies if I am missing something very obious but according to this:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v9/customer_label

the only info we can get about a customer label is its resource name (which
gives us only the ID). The attributes *customer_label.label *and
*customer_label.resource_name
*seem to give the same info which is the resource name. We verified this
by testing it.

How do we get the actual name of the label in this case?

Oliver

Incompatibility between AdWords and GoogleAds apis regarding invalid_clicks and device

2022-01-10 Thread Radosław Pociecha
Hello,

In AdWords api it is possible to fetch CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT with
field InvalidClicks segmented by Device, but when we try to get using new
api we are getting
error PROHIBITED_SEGMENT_WITH_METRIC_IN_SELECT_OR_WHERE_CLAUSE with
message "Cannot select the following segments because at least one
unsupported metric is found in SELECT or WHERE clause:
'segments.device'(unsupported metrics: 'invalid_clicks').". It looks like
GoogleAds api does not allow to segment campaign report the same way as
AdWords api when field invalid_clicks is used.

Working AWQL query for AdWords api:
SELECT
CampaignId,
Cost,
InvalidClicks,
Clicks,
Device,
Date
FROM
CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE
CampaignStatus IN ["ENABLED", "PAUSED"]
DURING
LAST_30_DAYS

GoogleAds query resulting in error:
SELECT
campaign.id,
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.invalid_clicks,
metrics.clicks,
segments.device,
segments.date,
FROM campaign
WHERE campaign.status IN ("ENABLED", "PAUSED")
AND segments.date DURING LAST_30_DAYS

Is this change intended or is it a bug ? Or maybe there is another resource
we can use to achieve invalid_clicks segmentation by device for campaigns ?

How do I replicate AdWords' CONTAINS operator in Google Ads?

2022-01-10 Thread stefano...@webrepublic.ch
Hi,

I've read the documentation about the GAQL grammar
, however
I cannot find an easy way to replicate AdWords' CONTAINS behavior in some
cases.
I'm mostly interested in returning a list of campaigns that contain a
specific substring. This substring should never be interpreted, even it has
special characters.

For instance, let's assume we have an account with these two campaigns:
- TestCampaignProduct1Search
- [test][campaign][product2][search]

In Google AdWords I could write:
-* CampaignName CONTAINS "CampaignProduct1"* --> returns
TestCampaignProduct1Search (ok)
- *CampaignName CONTAINS "[campaign][product2]"* --> returns
[test][campaign][product2][search] (ok)

that worked because the squared brackets weren't interpreted as special
characters.

In Google Ads:
- *campaign.name LIKE "%CampaignProduct1%"*  -->  returns
TestCampaignProduct1Search (ok)
- *campaign.name LIKE "%[campaign][product2]%" -->  *
[test][campaign][product2][search]
is *not* matched (not ok but expected)

as pointed out in the documentation, if I want to match a square bracket
character it needs to be surrounded by square brackets:
- *campaign.name LIKE "%[[]campaign[]][[]product2[]]%" -->  returns *
[test][campaign][product2][search]
(ok but "complex", especially if the Filter is exposed to the users of my
application)

using square brackets works but it adds a complexity that I would rather
not have.
*Isn't there an easier way to execute a search without having special
characters interpreted?*

I read that REGEXP_MATCH uses re2 and in the re2 documentation
 I found the "\Q...\E" escape
sequence that matches "literal text ... even if ... has punctuation" but
that doesn't seem to be supported by the API as I get an error.
Example:
*campaign.name REGEXP_MATCH ".*\Q[campaign][product2]\E.*"* --> returns
* "Request with ID "0dW9nXNyL8980lNmJJYHVQ" failed with status
"INVALID_ARGUMENT" and includes the following errors: Error with message
"Error in WHERE clause: invalid value ".*\.""*

How come this is invalid even though \Q...\E is listed as a valid escape
operator?

Is there a better solution to emulate the old "CONTAINS" behavior?

Cheers

Conversion data calculation

2022-01-10 Thread SR
1. How the number of conversions is calculated for a campaign?
When a campaign is set up using campaign specific goal with conversion
actions, the total number of conversions shown in the campaign dashboard is
not matching with the conversions in conversion action dashboard (Tools &
Settings -> Measurement -> Conversions). Why? The campaign dashboard
conversions is too high

2. Budget Vs spent
Daily budget of a campaign = X
Spent in a day = 6 times of X
What is the upper limit of spent per day. Why it is 6 times or when it can
reach 6 times of budget amount? How to control this?

Awaiting for your valuable inputs.

Thanks.

Re: How to retrieve Invoice Data on daily base via Google Ads API

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Michael,

I work with Ernie and will assist you. I raised with my team your request for
Unapplied payments and credits" UI screen support in API. This request is
subject to review. You may monitor our blog for an update.

Regarding an invoice that is broken down by campaign, could you privately send
us a full screen screenshot of the UI exposing this? If the UI doesn't offer
this, you may reach out to product support.

Note that differences between amounts in invoices and in serving metrics or
account budgets are common and expected. This is due to late adjustments that
are not taken into account in already issued invoices.

Ways to secure the developer token

2022-01-10 Thread xxx...@gmail.com
We consider letting a freelancer implement some additional functions for
our app based on Google Ads API and developer token issued for our firm's
AdWords manager account.

Our developer token is a valuable asset, which we will be forced to share
with the freelancer, so I have some questions about the security of our
developer token:

   - What are best practices to prevent fraudulent use of developer token
   through outsourced employers?
   - How to recognize fast and what to do in case of fraudulent use?
   - Is there any kind of sandboxing of the developer token or of the whole
app, so the development could be done without sharing of developer token?

Our main concerns are not to lose developer token and not to put our
connection with Google at risk.

Re: Google Ads Api - Remove Final URLs From Keyword

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Evaldas,

Thanks for getting back to us. When you see full logs, you are able to see
request ID on that log. For us to investigate, we will need a full log of
request and response of API communications of the report pull. The request and
response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST documentation. Our
client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these
instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our
client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger to 'DEBUG' will
get the desired log.

segments campaign invalid clicks by device? You can follow up with product
support as the Ads API can only be a conduit for the product, just like the old
AdWords API is a conduit for the old product UI.

RE: Get search volumes for all available months

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Xinyi,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API support. MonthlySearchVolume on
the Google Ads API provides only the number of searches for the past twelve
months. Please refer to the attached documentation for further details.
However, you can use the segmentation on the segments field to retrieve the
records that are older than 12 months. Sharing an example of segmentation below
:
Example query: “SELECT campaign.name, metrics.clicks, segments.quarter,
segments.month
FROM campaign
WHERE segments.year > 2015
AND segments.year < 2020”
Hope this helps, feel free to reply if you have any follow-up questions.

Google ADS - Setup upload conversion aciont(calls) with no currency set.

2022-01-10 Thread Jefferson Cechinel
Hello everyone!
I need some help regarding setting a conversion action.

I'm trying to create an Upload Conversion Action of type "Call"' through
Google ADS API but I didn't find anywhere how to properly set up de
ValueSettings to have no currency code set.

The PHP code snippet:
'value_settings' => new ValueSettings([
   'default_currency_code' => 'UNSPECIFIED',
   'default_value' => 1,
   'always_use_default_value' => true,
 ]),

In 'default_currency_code I tried: 'NONE', 'UNKNOWN', 'UNSPECIFIED' but hey
all throw error of invalid value. If I don't set the field or set it to
false, empty string or null the Conversion Action ends up created but with
the account default's currency code set which is undesirable.

What value should I use for default_currency_code that represents the 'No
currency set' in the web interface?
[image: Screen Shot 2022-01-10 at 17.06.02.png]
Thank you.

RE: Generate Keyword Ideas order by volume? with partial fields?

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Arion,

Thanks for reaching out. Please see my replies to each option request:

i would like to get only keywords ideas with volume grater than X

It is not possible to filter results based on volume. Have you seen this
feature in the UI?

i would like to get only 30 results at each request and not more.

You can manage the number of results seen by adjusting the page_size and
page_token fields.

i would like to get only text and volume field to reduce bandwidth

keyword_annotation[] are provided in the GenerateKeywordIdeaResult only if they
are requested.

RE: Conditions for retraining the company

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Andrey,

Thank you for your question.

You can track your campaign location criteria performances by using the
location_view report. From the metrics available in the said report, you can
formulate conditions that would then trigger a call to the
CampaignCriterionService.mutateCampaignCriteria to UPDATE the status = PAUSED
of the said location criteria.

Hi,

Thank you for following up on this thread.

So our team can take a closer look, could you share the complete request and
response logs, with the request-id, generated when you tried to extract the

can access from this link.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to author

In addition, you may also note that if you are using segments fields, your zero

RE: I'm trying to get Google ads developer API key for weeks and submitted the form multiple times

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Lior,

Thank you for posting your concern.

I completely understand your concern that you want to get some updates about
the developer token that you requested. However, I am afraid that our team
doesn't have access to this request so I would not be able to provide any
updates here.

With this, I would suggest to follow up the Compliance team instead via this
link to get some updates here. I suggested it because they are the one who
process and approve this kind of request so they are more equipped to provide
updates here.

RE: Conversion data calculation

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team. Based on the description of your
concern, it seems that it is more of a data calculation concern rather than an
issue with the API. With this, I suggest you post your concern in the Google
Ads Community forum as they are better equipped to address your concern. Please
note that this forum is intended for Google Ads API specific concerns only.

Re: Click View - click_type = "PRODUCT_LISTING_AD_CLICKS" no link with "listing_group - AdGroupCriterion"

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Constantin,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to get an ItemId associated with a
GCLID using the click_view report. However, there is an existing feature
request for this. With this, I would suggest keeping an eye on this blog as we
will post any relevant updates when they become supported.

Re: Upload with Lead Form User-Provided Data

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Frank,

Thank you for the reply.

Could you confirm if you are the Google representative of your client? If yes,
then the allowlisting should be done on your end as mentioned on this guide.
Also, the allowlisting of Google Ads account to this feature is outside of our
scope so I would not be able to provide further support.

With this, you may reach out to the product team via this link to know the
procedure on how you can allowlist the account of the client for the Lead Form
User-Provided Data.

RE: Ways to secure the developer token

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team.

In the Google Ads API's perspective, there's no way to monitor fraudulent use
of a developer token. As a workaround, you may opt to have the freelancer to
develop on a test account first. This is also the suggested action in our Best
Practices documentation. Once the application is finished, you can replace the
developer token and credentials used to gain access to your production account.

For additional reference, you can check this link and navigate to the bottom of
the page for reference on how to create a test manager account.

Re: search impression share returns 0 when requested with segment network

2022-01-10 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Tiana,

Thank you for providing the logs privately.

Upon checking, the 14540199277 campaign appears to be a Shopping Campaign. That
being said, including the segments.ad_network_type = "SEARCH" filter would not
be appropriate since the ads should serve more in the MIXED network type.

However, I too observed that the searchImpressionShare is indeed not being
returned when the segments.ad_network_type is included whether in the SELECT or
in the WHERE clause.

That said, allow me to raise this to the rest of our team for further insight
and so we can investigate further. Well reach back to you once we have more
details.
