, but it have that type in the Google Ads UI.

Re: Having trouble fetching asset group performance data

I am running into the exact same problem here. I found that I can retrieve 
metrics for  asset_group_product_group_view queries, but cannot retrieve 
metrics for the asset group as a whole.

I am effectively trying to recreate this page in the Google Ads 
UI:

As we can see in the screenshot - we have a breakdown of all asset groups, 
segmented by date, and we have metrics (I'm looking at clicks, cost and 
impressions here but we would be fetching other similar/related metrics in 
the GAQL query issued). The problem is, I can't find the correct source 
(FROM clause) to fetch against. I've looked at:


   1. ad_group_ad_asset_combination_view (only gives impressions for 
   metrics so this isn't right)
   2. ad_group_ad_asset_view (I get no results)
   3. ad_group_asset (I get no results)
   4. asset_set_asset (I get no results)
   5. asset_group (metrics aren't available)


So circling back - what resource do we query to recreate the page I've 
linked above?

Any update to this issue?  We are also creating keywords and ads using the 
batchJob service, as is recommended by the official Google Ads 
documentation, and missing PolicyViolationDetails on the responses is a

I have a question on ad_group_ad_asset_combination_view.served_assets field.

In the recent reports (from May 4) we have noticed a lot of entities 
with "servedAssetFieldType":"UNKNOWN". 
We understand meaning of "servedAssetFieldType":"HEADLINE_1", 
"servedAssetFieldType":"HEADLINE_2", 
"servedAssetFieldType":"DESCRIPTION_1", "servedAssetFieldType":"DESCRIPTION_2", 
but could you please explain what are the assets with 
"servedAssetFieldType":"UNKNOWN" 
? Any documentation Lins would be helpful!

Requirements for app (Required Minimum Functionality)

A year ago I created an "app" based on Google Ads API that I use to detect 
errors and opportunities in the ad campaigns that I manage (things like 
"show an alert if a campaign has spent +$1000 and delivered 0 
conversions"). 

I've been using it only internally (just myself), but I'm considering 
opening it to other users (third parties). 

I've been reading the requirements or RMF 
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/rmf?hl=en) and I guess 
my app would be considered Reporting only (it doesn't create or change 
campaigns, it just analyzes some data).

Apparently Reporting apps are required to show some mandatory metrics and 
columns. But my app doesn't really show reports or columns. It just shows 
alerts when it detects an opportunity to improve (usually only shows some 
text explaining the opportunity, no reports at all).

So I want to know what exactly I should provide or change if I want to 
start offering this app to other users. 

Do I have to add some reports and columns just to comply with RMF, even if 
the app is not designed to provide those and users are not interested in 
receiving that info from my app?

campaign_bid_modifier resource to do so. You may check this guide for more

Maximize Conversions to display

I saw on the documentation that the bid strategy maximize_conversions is 
only applied to campaign of type DISPLAY. but when you create campaigns 
from the UI it can attach this bid strategy type to the campaign for 
example

Really...But  I did see call asset in UI when your create an call asset for 
pmax. I've created it successfully with my phone number.
Do you mean it is impossible in API?

Conversion Tracking Code Changed Automatically

Hi,
I found out the conversion tracking code (Google tag) has been changed and 
not notified.
Funny part is, the new code is showing as recording conversions, but it is 
not there in website at all.
Can anyone help me here please?

Thank you for the reply.

Kindly note that the documentation we did provide from the previous email is 
from the Google Ads API perspective; if you are referring to this, "you must 
complete the setup and configuration steps in that account, including 
confirming that you have accepted the customer data terms. You can confirm this 
using the Google Ads UI", but if you'd prefer to use the Google Ads API, you 
may retrieve the conversion_tracking_setting from the account that manages 
conversion actions using the searchStream or search method of GoogleAdsService 
and the following query:

SELECT customer.id, 
customer.conversion_tracking_setting.accepted_customer_data_terms FROM customer

Then verify that accepted_customer_data_terms is true.

You may also check this article for more information on setting up enhanced 
conversions with the Google Ads API.

You may use the campaign_extension_setting report 
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v13/campaign_extension_setting)
 and filter by campaign_extension_setting.extension_type 
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v13/campaign_extension_setting#campaign_extension_setting.extension_type)
 is of value IMAGE.

You may check on this report and if there are no records found, then that 
specific campaign does not have image extensions created for the said campaign.

As I mention the v 16.0.0 version of Google.Ads.GoogleAds is the latest 
Nuget Package for .NET developers that can be seen here (
https://www.nuget.org/packages/Google.Ads.GoogleAds ) and it was uploaded 
11 days ago. (Image_1.png)

The way in which the GoogleAdsConfig may be configured has changed and must 
be created in the way that is commented here

The method LoadFromConfigurationRoot is underlined in red because it is not 
defined and accessible (Image_3.png)

Our team also checked Google.Ads.GoogleAds solution shared in GitHub (
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-dotnet). The class 
GoogleAdsConfig.cs is located in Google.Ads.GoogleAds.Core does not contain 
any method defined  here: 
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/client-libs/dotnet/configuration

Due to the fact that this method does not exist, there is no way of sharing 
any log.
