Search filter has no results with 'LIKE' operator but '=' works

2023-11-07 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi all,

I have found out that the LIKE operator doesn't always work as expected.

POST
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v15/customers//googleAds:search

Body:
{
"pageSize": 1,
"query": "SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign WHERE
 campaign.name = '"
}

-> returns the campaign

Body:
{
"pageSize": 1,
"query": "SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign WHERE
 campaign.name LIKE '%%"
}

-> doesn't return the campaign

 contains some special characters "()[]" and I suspect they
are the problem as this works just fine for campaigns without special
characters. Can you please advise how to make the LIKE operator work? I'll
send additional info in the private message if needed.

Thanks for your help,
Katerina Henzlova

Shopping performance view discrepancy

2023-07-13 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I've found some discrepancies between statistics pulled from
shopping_performance_view and from the campaign resource. Could you please
explain how it's possible? The difference is quite big and it happens for
more campaigns and dates.

I use
POST
https://googleads.googleapis.com/v14/customers//googleAds:search

Body of the shopping_performance_view request:
Body:
{
"pageSize": 1,
"query": "SELECT campaign.id, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.impressions,
metrics.clicks FROM shopping_performance_view WHERE segments.date =
'2023-07-07' AND campaign.id = "
}

Body of the campaign resource request:
{
"pageSize": 1,
"query": "SELECT campaign.id, metrics.cost_micros, metrics.impressions,
metrics.clicks FROM shopping_performance_view WHERE segments.date =
'2023-07-07' AND campaign.id = "
}

The results are (result from shopping_performance_view / result from
campaign):
costMicros: 6279 / 156589451
impressions: 24868 / 28713
clicks: 378 / 430

I'm gonna share the customer ID and campaign ID privately.

Thanks and have a nice day!
Katerina

Re: Feed label in shopping performance view

2023-01-02 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I cannot say for sure whether the report in Google Ads UI has the feed
label on the product level or campaign level. However, it does look like
it's the product level since it is under Shopping attributes together with
other product level dimensions. Our use case is downloading product level
statistics from Shopping and P Max campaigns. As the country is not
required in the Merchant Center anymore, feed label is necessary to fully
specify the product.

Re: Feed label in shopping performance view

2022-12-28 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Sherwin,

Thank you for looking into it.

I know about the possibility to include fields from the campaign resource
in shopping_performance_view. Unfortunately,
campaign.shopping_setting.feed_label is not exactly the product level like
for example the segments.product_country.

If I have a campaign 123 targeting feed label A on December 1st and feed
label B on December 2nd (feed label can be changed in the campaign
settings), the shopping performance view will show me
campaign.shopping_setting.feed_label as A on December 1st and B on December
2nd and later. Therefore I won't be able to assign the statistics to a
specific product in GMC (there can be more products with the same product
ID but different feed label).

Also, I believe it's possible to set no feed_label and no sales_country
(meaning the campaign will use products from all feeds). In that case,
there's no way to specify the product in shopping_performance_view either.

Do you by any chance have any information regarding adding feed label to
the product level of the shopping performance view in some of new versions
of Google Ads API? It would help us a lot.

Kind regards,
Katerina

Re: Feed label in shopping performance view

2022-12-27 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Nirmita,

Unfortunately, the asset_set report doesn't offer product level statistics
so I can't use it. It is possible to see the product level report with feed
labels in the UI (see the screenshot with no sensitive data), however, it
seems like it's not possible in the API.

Is there any way to download product level statistics including feed label
via API? Is there any way to get the product feed label too? Or, as feed
label is still quite new, do you know about any plan to add this in some of
the future versions of Google Ads API?[image: feed_label_ui.png]
Thanks,

Feed label in shopping performance view

2022-12-21 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

Shopping performance view

 allows
downloading statistics on products level and products dimensions from the
Merchant Center including channel, language, and country. Is there any way
to get the product feed label too? Or, as feed label is still quite new,
are you planning to add this in some of the future versions of Google Ads
API?

Example query: "SELECT segments.product_item_id, segments.product_channel,
segments.product_country, segments.product_language,
segments.product_merchant_id, metrics.cost_micros FROM
shopping_performance_view WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2022-12-01' AND
'2022-12-21'"

Thanks,
Katerina

Re: manager_link_error: INVALID_CHANGE

2022-06-10 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi all,

I did my own research after all and it turned out that all the 6 users who
encountered this issue in the last 30 days had only standard access

to the account we wanted to link. I tried to lower the access role on my
testing account and I got the same error. According to the documentation
, users with standard
access cannot accept and reject manager account link requests. So I guess
that's it.

Thanks for your effort,

Re: manager_link_error: INVALID_CHANGE

2022-01-31 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ernie,

I believe this is not the problem. What is described in the procedure is
the whole complex process of creating, fetching, and accepting the link
which requires 2 accounts; the manager which creates and fetches the link,
and the client which then accepts the created link. The terms "manager" and
"client" are used for distinguishing between these two accounts. I'm quite
sure it has nothing to do with direct or indirect access to the client
account.

I'm sending another client as an example in the private reply. This time
there's direct access. Thanks for looking into it.

Best,
Katerina

Re: manager_link_error: INVALID_CHANGE

2022-01-28 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Ernie,

Yes, the link is currently canceled. We cancel all pending links if the
linking is not successful to avoid reaching the limit
.

Our flow works like this:

   1. We create a pending link.
   2. Then we fetch the pending link to get the manager link ID.
   3. We try to accept the pending link.
   4. If accepting the pending link fails, we set the link status to
   CANCELED.

I have sent an example with full logs of all requests, I hope it helps with
the investigation.

Thanks and have a nice weekend,
Katerina

manager_link_error: INVALID_CHANGE

2022-01-12 Thread 'Kateřina Henzlová' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi there!

We have implemented linking to the manager account according to this guide

 and
it works just fine for most of our clients. However, sometimes, when trying
to accept the pending link, this error is returned:

*Failure message: errors {  error_code {manager_link_error:
INVALID_CHANGE } message: "The change for mutate link is invalid."
location {field_path_elements {  field_name: "operations"
index: 0}  }}*

It only happens to certain clients and the error is persistent. Do you have
any insights on what the cause of this error could be? I will be happy to
share an example privately if needed.

Thanks,
Katerina Henzlova
