Search Impression Share and Gender

2024-03-06 Thread LP AI
I can see in the Adwords Interface it is possible to get reports showing
Search Impression Share By Gender (see image)

However, in the API if I try to use the Gender view
(https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v14/gender_view_query_builder)

there is no option to add Search Impression Share.

Is there any way to get this via the API?

Did they send any uncropped screenshots? This is an issue I have seen on
multiple threads with no resolution and relates to the Adwords interface
when you are in Products -> Products and there are columns with the Item
ID, title etc and one column is Product status.

We are having the exact same issue and like everyone else this has appeared

of accounts that we can query with reports. When we start to query them

Will the functionality ever be added to get this information from the

Re: Blank AdType appearing in API reporting so cannot get information on Ads

2020-08-18 Thread LP AI
Hi Anthony

In one particular adwords accounts we have some ads that are IMAGE_ADS and
others with no ad type. For example
AdGroupId = 108737976911
AdId = 453917288878 (blank)
AdId = 453676363641 (IMAGE_AD)

With the image ad we can then use the AdGroupAdService to find out more
information and even get a preview of the Ad, but with the blank adType we
have no further information.

Blank AdType appearing in API reporting so cannot get information on Ads

2020-08-12 Thread LP AI
This thread comes from
https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/LvBi7S5kGY8/m/QjfiqXQvBQAJ but is
a different issue.

The issues were
1) We have some times where the same ad_id was returned as TEMPLATE_AD and
then we later on get it blank?

2) For TEMPLATE_ADs we were able to get further information about the ads
such as TemplateAdName shown here
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/selectorfields?hl=de
and we would also receive useful information about the file where the
images could be seen but with these blank ads we are getting no
information. The users say the ads they are creating are no different to
the ones in the past so have these new ads that are returning the blank
ad_type new?

For 1) we cleared all our data out and do not see this so either this never
existed and was an error on our part or has already been fixed but we have
no examples of the same ad_id.

Issue 2) still exists

Thanks

Re: "HTML5 Ad" has no AdType in the report and is not returned by AdgroupAdService

2020-08-11 Thread LP AI
Hi Anthony

As this was not my question I don't think I can reply direct to the author.
It says I do not have permissions. Should I make a new question?

What about the second part of the question?

For TEMPLATE_ADs we were able to get further information about the ads such
as TemplateAdName shown here
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/selectorfields?hl=de
and we would also receive useful information about the file where the
images could be seen but with these blank ads we are getting no
information. The users say the ads they are creating are no different to
the ones in the past so have these new ads that are returning the blank
ad_type new?

This is the big issue for us because we cannot get copies of the images at
the moment which is what we could get from Template Ads and then display
them for the client.

Re: Top Impression Share and Absolute Top Impression Share not in Geo Performance Report

2019-08-29 Thread LP AI
you linked to the same blog post I quoted in my initial message.

Is there a plan to expand these metrics to have the same coverage as
average position? I don't think this is a difficult or unreasonable
question to ask. Google tells us to stop using one metric but surely there
is a plan to replace it everywhere.

Re: Top Impression Share and Absolute Top Impression Share not in Geo Performance Report

2019-08-29 Thread LP AI
As average position is available in all of these reports

ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT

AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

AUDIENCE_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

BID_GOAL_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

CAMPAIGN_AD_SCHEDULE_TARGET_REPORT

CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT

CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

FINAL_URL_REPORT

GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

LANDING_PAGE_REPORT

PAID_ORGANIC_QUERY_REPORT

PLACEHOLDER_FEED_ITEM_REPORT

PLACEHOLDER_REPORT

SEARCH_QUERY_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

USER_AD_DISTANCE_REPORT

see
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/all-reports#averageposition

As the new metrics are meant to be replacements for average position will
they be added to all the above reports rather than the short list you see
here

https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/all-reports#topimpressionpercentage

It is very difficult to do any planning based on the recommendations if we
do not know if a metric will appear.

Re: How does Google calculate the averages for the new "Search Top Percent" column

2019-08-27 Thread LP AI
If you check https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7501826 you can
see the calculations. The formula looks to be
Search top impression rate = Impressions on top/Impressions
so you would need to use impressions for each of the percentages to get the
actual number of impressions on top for each row and then divide that total
by total impressions.
