Re: google ads api product link invitation reference

2024-05-21 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Upon checking your account, I could see that there are no
product_link_invitation requests received for the Youtube product. This might
be the reason that you are getting an empty response via API. Could you please
confirm from your end, if you are able to see any pending
product_link_invitation requests in your account.

RE: clarification on api error codes

2024-05-21 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I could see that you have encountered the following errors:

1) "RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED" error, which means that a system frequency limit has
been exceeded. Kindly prevent sending too many requests in a short period of
time and also ensure to set up short delays between requests or combine more
operations in fewer requests. Also, please check this sample code for how to
Handle a Rate Exceeded Error for more information.

Additionally, we also have daily API operation limits where requests that
violate these limits are rejected with the error: RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED. You may
check out API Limits and Quotas for more information.

2) DEADLINE_EXCEEDED error. This is a deadline exceeded error. This could be
due to low timeout. However, could you confirm if you’ve set a low timeout?
Wait for about 30 seconds, then retry the request. If the error persists try
breaking the request into multiple, smaller requests that can be completed more
quickly. For more information you may check this document which will explain
how to handle this error.

3) The "Connection reset by peer" error, this issue appears to be client
library specific. Could you please confirm which Client Library you are using ?

If the error still persists, after following the above suggestions, provide us
with the updated complete API logs (request and response with request-id and
request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would
request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are
using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to
enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging
via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct
private reply to this email.

Clarification on API error codes

2024-05-21 Thread 'Oksana Sulyma' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Google Ads API team,

Using reporting API for various accounts, we face temporary errors like:

error : { "message": "Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota).",
"code": 8, "status": "RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED", "details": [ { "@type":
"google.ads.googleads.v16.errors.googleadsfailure-bin", "data": "" }, { "@type": "grpc-status-details-bin", "data": "" }, { "@type": "request-id", "data": "R0nAJOVxhkE-9OMaTT_jOA"
} ] }

OR
{ "message": "Deadline Exceeded", "code": 4, "status": "DEADLINE_EXCEEDED",
"details": [] }

OR
{ "message": "Connection reset by peer", "code": 14, "status":
"UNAVAILABLE", "details": [] }

And I can't find in documentation details on error codes like 8, 4, 14 from
my examples.
Could you please help me? Do you have a documentation page that contents
complete list of error codes and error descriptions?

Thanks!

Re: google ads api product link invitation reference

2024-05-21 Thread Ansh Ved
Hi,
As per my original query. I have already tried using
ProductLinkInvitationService.UpdateProductLinkInvitation method to update
the status of the ProductLinkInvitation to ACCEPTED or REJECTED.

Please find the code below. I am not able to see any pending invitations or
accepted invitations even though I have them here.
I want to fetch those invitations first and then accept the correct one.

I am trying to use the Google AdWords API to accept invitations sent from
the YouTube Account.

I have already set up the connection. Using the PHP library for V16:
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/

I am using this with Laravel

I sent a get request to get the list of product invitation links, but I am
receiving an empty array. I could successfully fetch campaigns from Google
ads.

/// This works well /
public function getAllCampaigns($customerId)
{
$googleAdsServiceClient =
$this->client->getGoogleAdsServiceClient();
$query = '
SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign ORDER BY campaign.id
';

$stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream(
SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query)
);

$allCampaigns = [];
foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) {
$allCampaigns[] = [
'campaign_id' => $row->getCampaign()->getId(),
'campaign_name' => $row->getCampaign()->getName()
];
}

return $allCampaigns;
} / This does not work /
public function listPendingYoutubeLinkInvitations($customerId)
{
$googleAdsServiceClient = $this->client->
getGoogleAdsServiceClient();
$query = '
SELECT product_link_invitation.status,
product_link_invitation.type,
product_link_invitation.product_link_invitation_id,
product_link_invitation.resource_name FROM product_link_invitation
';

$stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream(
SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query)
);

$invitations = [];
foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) {
$invitations[] = $row->getProductLink();
}

return $invitations;
}

Please let me know how to proceed.

RE: pulling search terms, for clicks and impressions (and pull the other metrics)

2024-05-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that there is no report called 'SEARCH_QUERY_PERFORMANCE_REPORT' in
the Google Ads API. You can use the below query to retrieve the search terms
and other metrics (clicks, impressions, etc.) using the search_term_view
resource:

SELECT search_term_view.search_term, campaign.name, ad_group.name,
metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.all_conversions, metrics.conversions_value, metrics.conversions,
segments.date FROM search_term_view WHERE metrics.impressions > 0 AND
segments.date DURING LAST_MONTH

Also, I would suggest you use the Query Builder to build your query and Query
Validator to validate your query. you can utilize GoogleAdsService.SearchStream
or GoogleAdsService.Search to retrieve the objects. Hope this helps. Let us
know if you have any further queries.

  "AND AdGroupName = '" + WhichAdGroup + "' " +

Is that the only way, or just "a" way to get this data?

does anyone else find it hard to figure out WHERE or WHAT table to use?

Google Ads API Product Link Invitation Reference

2024-05-20 Thread Ansh Ved
Hi,
I am trying to use the Google AdWords API to accept invitations sent from
the YouTube Account.

I have already set up the connection. Using the PHP library for V16:
https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-php/

I am using this with Laravel

I sent a get request to get the list of product invitation links, but I am
receiving an empty array. I could successfully fetch campaigns from Google
ads.

/// This works well /
public function getAllCampaigns($customerId)
{
$googleAdsServiceClient =
$this->client->getGoogleAdsServiceClient();
$query = '
SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign ORDER BY campaign.id
';

$stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream(
SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query)
);

$allCampaigns = [];
foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) {
$allCampaigns[] = [
'campaign_id' => $row->getCampaign()->getId(),
'campaign_name' => $row->getCampaign()->getName()
];
}

return $allCampaigns;
} / This does not work /
public function listPendingYoutubeLinkInvitations($customerId)
{
$googleAdsServiceClient = $this->client->
getGoogleAdsServiceClient();
$query = '
SELECT product_link_invitation.status,
product_link_invitation.type,
product_link_invitation.product_link_invitation_id,
product_link_invitation.resource_name FROM product_link_invitation
';

$stream = $googleAdsServiceClient->searchStream(
SearchGoogleAdsStreamRequest::build($customerId, $query)
);

$invitations = [];
foreach ($stream->iterateAllElements() as $row) {
$invitations[] = $row->getProductLink();
}

return $invitations;
}

I have also tried listing customer_client_invitation and customer_invitation
Everything just gives me an empty array [].

Can someone help me with this ??
Am I missing something?

RE: get objective name

2024-05-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Yes, we can obtain the objective of a campaign by using the GAQL query. I
would recommend you to kindly refer to the campaign_conversion_goal to retrieve
the objective of a campaign by using the Google Ads API. Please find the sample
GAQL query as per your requirement:

SELECT campaign_conversion_goal.campaign, campaign_conversion_goal.category,
campaign_conversion_goal.origin, campaign_conversion_goal.biddable,
campaign.id,
campaign.name FROM campaign_conversion_goal

You can use the search or searchStream methods for making the API calls while
retrieving the data. Also, I would suggest you to refer to the Campaign goals
documentation for more information. Additionally, you can utilize the Google
Ads Query Builder and Query Validator to build and validate the queries for
retrieving the data from the Google Ads API.

RE: customer match list with google ads api is not exposed in interface

2024-05-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that the user list sizes are showing as zero because, for privacy
reasons the list size is displayed as zero until it has at least 1,000 members.
Once it reaches this threshold, the size is rounded to the two most significant
digits. You can find more information in this guide. Upon reviewing your Google
Ads account (4338086288), it appears the user list size for the audience
segment (8661663568) is less than 100. As mentioned earlier, you need to upload
at least 1,000 members for the size to be displayed in the Google Ads UI.

RE: how to get the exact ads cost, consistent whith google ui

2024-05-20 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

To assist you with the discrepancy, could you provide us with more details of
the discrepancy you observed while fetching the report of cost.micros? Also
provide us the uncropped UI screenshot of the metrics you are fetching using
Google Ads API highlighting the discrepancy.

Also, if you observed the discrepancy in the API results, provide us the
complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header)
generated at your end.

Hi there! Thanks for your response.

*>>>Could you please confirm which team you are referring to for the

We've been reaching out to the ads-api-compliance team, but their responses
seem a bit infrequent and possibly automated. We were hoping to get a
deeper dive into our specific questions. Since this delay has impacted our
release timeline by a few months, we'd greatly appreciate it if you could
direct us to a specific person on the team who can provide more focused
assistance.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

No response to my Google Ads Standard API access application

2024-05-19 Thread Rezi Costa Bzishvili
Hi Support Team,

I've submitted my application Google Ads Standard API access and have not
heard anything from Google regarding it and still haven't received access.

MCC ID: 463-646-2382.

I don't have a Case ID from the compliance team because I haven't received
any confirmation emails.

Is there any chance you can provide an update on the status of this? It's
currently a blocker with our customers.

Thank you in advance!

Rezi

Re: find gclid using campaign id

2024-05-19 Thread D. H.
Hi,

You need to include a filter to limit the results to a single day.

This query works for me:
SELECT click_view.gclid, campaign.id FROM click_view WHERE segments.date =
'2024-05-01'

As does this:
SELECT click_view.gclid, campaign.id FROM click_view WHERE segments.date
BETWEEN '2024-05-01' AND '2024-05-01'

But if I extend it to even two days I return the same error you have:
SELECT click_view.gclid, campaign.id FROM click_view WHERE segments.date
BETWEEN '2024-05-01' AND '2024-05-02'

GoogleAdsException: (<_SingleThreadedRendezvous of RPC that terminated

I've submitted my application twice in 2-3 weeks and have not heard
anything from Google regarding it and still haven't received access. It's
holding up the launch of our internal reporting application that our ad

Missing Max Performance campaign

2024-05-17 Thread 'Nils Rückmann' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi, we are missing a single campaign in the search results. Even when
trying to filter by it's ID we don't find them.

SELECT campaign.id, campaign.name FROM campaign WHERE campaign.id =
'604145267'

Any idea why this can happen?

So, I am trying to use the C# library, Google.Ads.GoogleAds. And, the
Campaign object there that I would send in to the mutate method has a
readonly UrlCustomParameters variable, so there is no way for me to mutate
it.

Retrieving details information about GoogleAds campaigns

2024-05-17 Thread Łukasz Kowalski
Hi everyone, I am working on Google Ads API. My goal is to find detailed
information on the cost, clicks, etc. for each "Performance Max" campaign.
When I use the following query:

```
SELECT
  campaign.id,
  campaign.name,
  segments.ad_network_type,
  segments.advertising_channel_type
FROM
  campaign
WHERE
  segments.date DURING LAST_30_DAYS
  AND segments.advertising_channel_type = 'Performance Max'
```

I see that the ad_network_type field has a value of 'mixed'. I want to find
detailed information on what constitutes this 'mixed' value (e.g., how many
clicks, impressions, cost) for the components such as:

CONTENT
GOOGLE_TV
SEARCH
SEARCH_PARTNERS
UNKNOWN
UNSPECIFIED
YOUTUBE

I found information in the documentation that such data can be retrieved
from the detail_placement_view table:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v15/detail_placement_view
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v15/detail_placement_view_query_builder
However, when I try to retrieve any data from this table, even with the
simplest query, I always get an empty array as a result, for example:

I have tried this query:
```
SELECT detail_placement_view.placement_type
FROM detail_placement_view
WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2024-01-01' AND '2024-05-26'
```
and it always returns me an emtpy array. I have tried manipulating this
query, extracting different fields, increasing the date range, etc., but I
always get an empty array. Why is this happening? Is this table still
provided by Google, or is it deprecated? Does anyone have any information
on this?

Would the Google Ads API also help with OCT

2024-05-17 Thread Fana Keuter
We currently have a semi-manual process for OCT. I use the upload function
in Google ads to upload the new GCLIDs (try to do it daily, sometimes it's
a bit longer). By doing this i often get errors which makes sense because
the old rows are also in the spreadsheet and google says he already has
those ID's.

Could the Google Ads API also help with that process? Meaning I can
integrate it through there (e.g. send the GCLID data to the API which then
uploads it for me)

Hope it's clear...

Re: find gclid using campaign id

2024-05-17 Thread bhavya dev
Hi,

I've already posted error which I'm facing to fetch data older than 90 days
actually I can able to fetch campaign impression, ctr, clicks etc.. detail
which older than 90 days.

I'm fetching my campaign detail

below query I've used to fetch campaign details :-
SELECT
campaign.name,
campaign_budget.amount_micros,
campaign.status,
campaign.optimization_score,
campaign.advertising_channel_type,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.impressions,
metrics.ctr,
metrics.average_cpc,
campaign.bidding_strategy_type,
metrics.cost_micros
FROM campaign
  WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '{start_date}' AND
'{end_date}'

So when i try to fetch gclid with "SELECT click_view.gclid, campaign.id
FROM click_view WHERE segments.date BETWEEN '2022-10-01' AND '2022-10-30'
AND campaign.id = 14529401748" this query getting error [Queries including
ClickView must have a filter limiting the results to one day].

I want to fetch gclid such like this , please give me solution to resolve
this error.

Get Objective Name

2024-05-17 Thread Rajat Singh
After creating campaigns, can we determine the objective of a campaign
through a query? For example, whether the campaign is focused on sales or
leads. How can we determine this, directly or indirectly?I want to get the

Customer Match List with Google Ads API is not exposed in interface

2024-05-17 Thread Geo Geo
Hello,

I have a Google Ads test Account ( customerId: 4338086288 ) and I created
through API a customer list ( userListId: *8661663568* ). I cannot see the
list in the Google Ads Test Account Interface.

I have also created an offline data job to populate the list and job has
status success so the list has been created and when I check the status
there are user for display and search:

Offline user data job ID 39159213784 with type [CUSTOMER_MATCH_USER_LIST]
has status: [SUCCESS].
The estimated number of users that the user list
[customers/4338086288/userLists/8661663568] has is 100 for Display and 200
for Search.

Can you help me to see the list in the Google Ads interface and in which
tab can I see it?

Thanks,
Geo

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that only from the click_view resource you can get the gclid. I
would recommend you to refer to this documentation to know more about the
Fields/Segments/Metrics that can be used with the click_view resource. Also,
from the ad_gorup_ad resource you can get the metrics.clicks this will provide
the number of clicks. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further
queries.

RE: problem with changing "company type" for developer account

2024-05-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Please find the response to your queries respectively.

How could we circumvent the issue with access to test Google Account for Google
Ads API team? Does anybody have a successful experience with getting Google
Account from Google Ads API team for testing their product during the
verification process?

We are the Google Ads API support team. Please note that we can only assist
with technical queries/concerns related to the Google Ads API. It appears that
your product needs verification to test the functionality. Could you please
confirm which team you are referring to for the verification process. Also,
could you please confirm if this verification team is in contact with you?

Is it really necessary to wait for the approval from Google Ads API team to
change the company type and release our self-service product for the users?

If you are warned that changing the company type without notifying the Google
Ads API team may lead to developer token revoking, then I would recommend that
you get the approval from Google Ads API team to change the company type.

Hope this helps. If you have any more queries, please feel free to get back to
us.

RE: impression data of user_location_view and ad_group_ad/campaign

2024-05-17 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

In order to investigate the discrepancy in impressions between the user
location view and ad group ad/campaign view, please provide the following
information:

Uncropped UI screenshots of the impressions fetched from the user location view
and ad group ad/campaign view, highlighting the discrepancy.
Complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header)
generated at your end when you fetch data from both user location view and ad
group ad/campaign view. This information will help us troubleshoot the issue
and provide you with a solution.

Impression data of user_location_view and ad_group_ad/campaign

2024-05-17 Thread Siebert Looije
Hello,

We are fetching impressions data from the user_location view and from the
ad_group_ad/campaign view for the same campaigns however there seems to be
a mismatch between the numbers. Is there a reason for this?

Example campaign id *21104770687* of ad account id *860113* has for:
- ad_group_ad on date 2024-05-10: 13908 impressions
- user location view on date 2024-05-10: 13895 impressions

How is this possible?

V15 Consent - OfflineUserDataJobOperation - EU Consent Queries

2024-05-16 Thread Royal Parihar
Hello,

We're currently using the offlineuserdatajob to update consent for EU
contacts, and I have a question about it. Allow me to clarify with an
example:

Let's say I have 100 contacts to add to the Google user list, so I created
an offlineuserdatajob with the consent type "granted" and used it to add
the contacts to the user list. After a few days, I need to change the
consent for these contacts. In this case, I create another
offlineuserdatajob with the consent type "unspecified" and add all the
contacts again to the Google user list using this new job. My question is,
since I added the same contacts twice with different consent types, what
should be the current consent value for these contacts? I assume it should
be "unspecified" because that was the latest consent I used, but I want to
confirm.

Additionally, I have another question: Is there a way to verify the current
consent value of the user list on the Google UI or through any Google API?

Thanks

Re: No response from ads api basic access application

2024-05-16 Thread Iryna Galiuk
Hi Support Team,

we've faced the same problem as most of reporters here - no feedback about
our application for Basic Access to the Google Ads API.
I see that some people provide Case ID but we haven't received any - no
confirmations with Case id after application form submission, nor after
sending request to Compliance team via
https://support.google.com/adspolicy/contact/contact_ads_api.

Google Ads manager account (MCC) ID* - 721-712-8182*
Contact email:* ad...@leeloo.ai*

This a very critical issue for our product. There are more 3 000
enterprises that use our platform waiting for the feature to work.

I'd appreciate your assistance,
Iryna

Is there a REST interface to Generate Keyword Ideas?

2024-05-16 Thread Jin Yoon
Hello, I wanted to know is there a way to generate keyword ideas using the
REST interface? Having trouble locating any documentation on this.

I found that it is possible under the guides section under "Planning
service" > "Generate keyword ideas", but I want to use a REST interface to
do this.

Re: link mcc to ads account using rest interface

2024-05-16 Thread Tomas Maccarone
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. I understand, I added the fields which I
believe were required but I'm still getting the same error, am I missing
another field?
export async function createAccountLink(
managerCustomerId,
clientCustomerId,
managerAccessToken
) {
const url = `https://googleads.googleapis.com/v16/customers/${
managerCustomerId}/accountLinks:create`;

// The payload for the POST request
const body = {
accountLink: {
type: "UNKNOWN",
status: "PENDING_APPROVAL",
resourceName: `customers/${clientCustomerId}`,
},
};

try {
const response = await fetch(url, {
method: "POST",
headers: {
Authorization: `Bearer ${managerAccessToken}`, // Bearer token for the
client account
"Developer-Token": process.env.GOOGLE_DEV_TOKEN, // Developer token for API
access
"Content-Type": "application/json",
"login-customer-id": managerCustomerId, // Manager account ID
},
body: JSON.stringify(body), // Converting the payload to a JSON string
});

if (!response.ok) {
const responseText = await response.text();
console.error(
`Failed to create account link, status: ${response.status}, response: ${
responseText}`
);
throw new Error(
`API call failed with status ${response.status}: ${responseText}`
);
}

const data = await response.json();
console.log("Created Account Link:", data);
return data;
} catch (error) {
console.error("Failed to create account link:", error);
throw error;
}
}

I set type to "UNKNOWN" which is the one I believe it's correct following
the available account types from this section:
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v16/AccountLink#linkedaccounttype

I'm getting the following error:
Error: API call failed with status 400: {
  "error": {
"code": 400,
"message": "Request contains an invalid argument.",
"status": "INVALID_ARGUMENT",
"details": [
  {
"@type":
"type.googleapis.com/google.ads.googleads.v16.errors.GoogleAdsFailure",
"errors": [
  {
"errorCode": {
  "fieldError": "REQUIRED"
},
"message": "The required field was not present.",
"location": {}
  }
],

what field am I missing?

I'm trying to connect an MCC to a Google Ads account. managerCustomerId to
clientCustomerId

Thanks for the help!

RE: campaign billed cost

2024-05-16 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

To find the list of all campaigns and the amount for each campaign via the API.

Kindly refer to the below sample query:

{

  "query": "SELECT campaign.name, metrics.cost_micros, campaign.id FROM
campaign"

}

You can try making a request using the Method: customers.googleAds.search and
Method: customers.googleAds.searchStream.

Also, you can use Query Builder to create your query and Query Validator to
validate your query.

If this is what you are not looking for, provide us with a UI screenshot.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please refer to this Rest API endpoint :

Also, kindly try the below provided query to get the GCLID using campaign id.

Query : "SELECT click_view.gclid, campaign.id FROM click_view WHERE
segments.date = '2024-05-16' AND campaign.id = 123456789"

You may use this Google Ads Query Builder to build your own query with the

Hope this helps. If you have any more queries, please feel free to get back to

RE: curl error 60: ssl certificate problem: self signed certificate

2024-05-16 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that we can only assist with technical queries/concerns related to
the Google Ads API. For the PHP Client library issues/concerns, I would suggest
reaching out to the client library owner via this Google Ads PHP Github issue
tracker as they should be more equipped to provide guidance on this matter.

Hope this helps. If you have any queries related to Google Ads API, please feel
free to get back to us.

Subject: Can't upload offline conversion

Hey Yosi,

Hope you're doing well! To help us with this investigation, could you send a
SearchStream request with the GAQL query described here

 , providing the same customer ID and login customer ID that you used for the
examples you sent previously, and then share the request and response logs?

Other than that, there's one thing to verify: Is the Google tag that captured
the GCLID you're trying to upload the same one that's linked to your Google Ads
account? You can use this Help Center guide

  to see where your tag ID is.

This message is in relation to case "ref:!00D1U01174p.!5004Q02tIuhU:ref"

Thanks,

GAQL to Get Exact Headline & Description of a Responsive Ad that generated each Click

2024-05-15 Thread Seva Baskin
Hi Google Ads API Team,

I'm trying to write a GAQL that fetches clicks for a specific date and
returns the exact headline & description combination from a responsive ad
that generated each click.

We have some unwanted leads generated from our responsive campaigns, and
I'm just trying to drill down which specific combination of headlines and
descriptions are generating these unwanted leads.

I'm able to retrieve specific clicks:

```sql
SELECT campaign.name, click_view.gclid, click_view.keyword, ad_group.name,
ad_group.id, campaign.id, customer.id, click_view.ad_group_ad
FROM click_view
WHERE segments.date = '2024-05-08'
```

Which gives me information for a specific ad id that generated that click.
However, when I query that ad id from a specific click, I'm only able to
retrieve all the different headlines/descriptions for that ad, but unable
to retrieve exact combination of headline + description that generated that
specific click:
```sql
SELECT ad_group_ad.ad.responsive_search_ad.headlines,
ad_group_ad.ad.responsive_search_ad.descriptions FROM ad_group_ad WHERE
ad_group.id = 144629223745 AND ad_group_ad.ad.id = XYZ
```

Please let me know if there's a solution.

I tried the query the API team gave. I got the following error and the

What is the status of getting the descriptive names in

Unexpected geographic_view segmentation by location_type

2024-05-15 Thread Dom
Hi,

When issuing requests against the geographic_view, we've observed that the
resulting data is segmented by geographic_view.location_type regardless of
whether this field is included in the GAQL query.
This is not behavior we would expect for a field that has been excluded
from the GAQL query.

Could you clarify, is this intended behavior and if so is there another
resource that can be queried to provide a result-set that is truly
segmented ONLY BY COUNTRY (and not location_type).

Thanks in advance,
-Dom

How to get customer_id when user logs in with Oauth

2024-05-15 Thread Rathina Boopathi
Hi Google Ads API Team.

We are building a web application for users to view leads generated form
Google Ads.
I have implemented OAuth login with scope including adwords. I get the
authorization code from that login with I am getting access token and
refresh token.

Now if I need to get the list of accounts accessible by that logged in
account, I need to set customer_id to customer instance. (As far as I
know).

Hello,

I received an unauthorized_client error when executing the following
command.

curl \

 --data "client_id=CLIENT_ID" \

  --data "refresh_token=REFRESH_TOKEN" \

{
  "error" : "unauthorized_client"

OAuth verification has not been completed yet, is it related to the above
error?
Are there any other possible causes?

Thanks.

Never any response for basic API access after multiple requests...

2024-05-15 Thread Valinnov
Hi,

I have requested basic API access several times to report conversions to
Google Ads. This is a very simple usage, but I never receive a response to
my request... Is it possible to move the subject forward so that we can
have access to API base and implement conversion tracking and report using
a reliable and complete method?

The MCC account that made the request several times: 511-197-2866

THANKS.

Stephane.

Link MCC to Ads account using REST interface

2024-05-15 Thread Tomas Maccarone
Hi,
Im trying to connect an MCC account to a Google Ads account following the
following
link
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/rest/reference/rest/v16/customers.accountLinks/create

export async function createAccountLink(
managerCustomerId,
clientCustomerId,
clientAccessToken
) {
const url = `https://googleads.googleapis.com/v16/customers/${
managerCustomerId}/accountLinks:create`;

// The payload for the POST request
const body = {
accountLink: {
status: "PENDING_APPROVAL",
},
};

try {
const response = await fetch(url, {
method: "POST",
headers: {
Authorization: `Bearer ${clientAccessToken}`, // Bearer token for the
client account
"Developer-Token": process.env.GOOGLE_DEV_TOKEN, // Developer token for API
access
"Content-Type": "application/json",
"login-customer-id": managerCustomerId, // Manager account ID
},
body: JSON.stringify(body), // Converting the payload to a JSON string
});

if (!response.ok) {
const responseText = await response.text();
console.error(
`Failed to create account link, status: ${response.status}, response: ${
responseText}`
);
throw new Error(
`API call failed with status ${response.status}: ${responseText}`
);
}

const data = await response.json();
console.log("Created Account Link:", data);
return data;
} catch (error) {
console.error("Failed to create account link:", error);
throw error;
}
}

I believe I'm missing fields in the body request but I do not understand
which ones are required. Do I need to add "type"? What would be the value?
"Unknown"? I also couldn't find where to add the CID for the account I'm
trying to connect.

Looking for some guidance here. Appreciate the help!
Thanks!

changes failed to save google ads

I need help in the following issue! I’m trying to create a new search

it doesn't let me publish and a „Changes failed to save" error appears

INVALID_CUSTOMER_ID when calling the Ads API

2024-05-15 Thread Sonia GM
Hi,

I'm implementing a call to the Ads API using PHP and I was getting the
`INVALID_CUSTOMER_ID` error. I fixed it by sending the customer id without
hyphens.
But now I'm getting another error:
``Partial failures occurred: 'Make sure you've turned on enhanced
conversions for leads in conversion settings and try again. '`
I have the enhanced conversions activated.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

RE: getting excluded audiences by campaign or ad group, is it possible?

2024-05-15 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

If you want to get the user list audience associated at the campaign level,
then you can use the campaign_audience_view while ad_group_audience_view to
retrieve the user list audience associated at the ad group level. Please note
that those report types should include the positive or excluded user list
audiences.

You can include adding the campaign_criterion.negative= TRUE and
ad_group_criterion.negative = TRUE in the WHERE clause of your report to
determine whether the specific user list audience is positive or excluded.

If the issue persists even after trying with the provided suggestion, kindly
provide us with the complete updated API logs (request and response logs with
request-id and request header) generated at your end to better assist you
further.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or
direct private reply to this email.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Note that the provided logs are incomplete and don't include the details on how
you are uploading the user data. So, in order to assist you further, kindly
provide us with the "complete API logs" (request and response with request-id
and request header) generated at your end while working with Customer Match.

Also, I would recommend you to follow this guide on Get Started with Customer
Match for more information about creating and targeting a customer list.

This message is in relation to case "ref:!00D1U01174p.!5004Q02tIyAz:ref"
(ADR-00234928)

Thanks,

Google Ads API Team

Re: detailed demographics by campaign?

2024-05-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Yes. However, Google in-market and affinity audiences can be downloaded via
campaign_audience_view in the Google Ads API. The campaign_audience_view
resource represents a view of a campaign's audiences, and it can be used to
retrieve information about all of the audiences that are used in a campaign,
including in-market and affinity audiences.

Getting Excluded Audiences by Campaign or Ad Group, is it possible?

2024-05-14 Thread charlesb...@gmail.com
Hi,

I can see audiences (user lists) via:

'SELECT user_list.name, campaign.id, campaign.name FROM
campaign_audience_view'

However, the results do not include Exclusions which I can see via
Audiences, Keywords and Content > Audiences > Exclusions within the UI.

Is this information available?

Note I don't need the stats, just 1) The excluded audience and 2) Which
campaign(s) its applied to.

Thanks,

Charles

Re: create customaudience in a batchjob

2024-05-14 Thread Lorenzo Scortichini
Hi Ben,
I just noticed the fix wasn't included in the 16.1 release. Is there any
chance it will be included in v17?
We stalled the development waiting for it to be fixed but if it's not
coming in the v17 we may decide to do it with the CustomAudienceService.

Thanks

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

After verifying the provided code, I could see that you have redacted the

Add Campaign.UrlCustomParameters

2024-05-14 Thread China Wendel
Hello, I am trying to add a list of Campaign-level UrlCustomParameters
through the Google Ads API, but the
Google.Ads.GoogleAds.V16.Resources.Campaign object in C# has a read-only
Campaign.UrlCustomParameters variable, so I can't set this property to
mutate it.

Is there another way to do this, besides modifying the Campaign through

Transferring Dev Token to new MCC

I am planning on deleting MCC 549-884-6662 once the transfer is complete

Google Ads Reporting API Audience Reports

2024-05-14 Thread Ahmet Buğra Buğa
Hi team,

I am trying to get a report that includes the following dimensions and
metrics:

Target audience
Campaign name
Clicks
Impressions
Cost per impression
Video views

But I can't find any endpoint that gets these reports. I tried Campaign
Audience View but I couldn't get target audience name field. Can you help
me to get these reports using Google Ads API?

Kind regards,
Bugra

Re: can't create negative user list criterion for video campaign and conversion value rule set for performance_max campaign.

2024-05-14 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Yes, I can confirm that this is an API limitation but functionality differs
between the UI and API. As informed earlier, video campaigns and value rules to
a PERFORMANCE_MAX campaign are not supported in the Google Ads API.

This message is in relation to case "ref:!00D1U01174p.!5004Q02tIwKA:ref"
(ADR-00234416)

Thanks,

Google Ads API Team
