template for the Ad Performance Report

2024-03-26 Thread Meiji
Hi,
When I run the template for the Ad Performance Report, the column for
Headline outputs the registered ad headlines, but the figures for each
headline are all the same. It seems that the figures for the entire ad
group are just being repeated for each headline. I believe the original
purpose of this report was "to view the performance for each ad headline,"
but how can I get it to output the figures for each headline individually?

Best regards,
Meiji

RE: Performance Max data missing in Ad Performance Report

2023-01-27 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Kristin,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum.

If you are referring to Ad Performance Report (Adwords API) as ad_group_ad
report in the Google Ads API, then you may note that Ad group or Ads
(ad_group_ad) are not supported in the Performance Max campaigns, and you
won’t be able to get any records for Ad Performance Report / ad_group_ad report
in the Google Ads API. That being said, you may avoid selecting an AdGroup when
querying Performance Max campaigns, since no campaigns will be returned. I hope
this clarifies.

For more information, you may refer to this page .

Yasar

Performance Max data missing in Ad Performance Report

2023-01-27 Thread Kristin Lose
Hi,
we have an Ad Performance Report API request set up as following:

AdNetworkType1
-Filter: is not SEARCH

CampaignStatus

CampaignName

AdGroupName

AdType

Status

CreativeFinalUrls

Device

Date

Impressions
-Filter Zero Impressions

Clicks

Cost

The Performance Max Campaign is missing from the report. I was expecting it
to show, because we selected *AdNetworkType1 is not SEARCH*. How do I have
to adjust the API request so that it will show the Performance Max Campaign
as well in the Ad Performance Report?

Best, Kristin

DSA ads are not supported by the new API because they are legacy ads. Only
the newer type *Expanded DSA *ads are supported.

Thank you for the reply? But does the same apply for click_view report as
well?
I posted question regarding it in this thread too
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/adwords-api/c/OjHqrlNSgks/m/c3D8zMmOBQAJ

in the click_view report you can get criteria that triggered click only if
its of the type KEYWORD or USER_LIST, but why not some other too? Like for
example USER_INTEREST, WEBPAGE, INCOME_RANGE etc

Re: The CriterionId for ad performance report migration

2022-04-04 Thread don....@gmail.com
Hello Matt, what if Criteria Type to trigger Ad was not search keyword, but
User List or Household income for example, how to get such campaigns as
part of the ad_group_ad report knowing criterion id at the same time?
Is it possible with Google Ads Api? Because we are seeing similar behavior
that campaigns/ads with not search keyword criterion gets excluded from
ad_group_ad report. Could you explain reasoning behind this or refer to the
corresponding doc?

Thank you!

2022-03-18 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you verify that the rows that are not being
included are in fact keyword criteria? This may be due to an intentional change
from the AdWords API to the Ads API. The AdWords API was unintentionally
exposing non-keyword criteria, which may explain the additional rows that you
observed in the AdWords API. The Ads API enforces that the criterion is
actually a keyword, and this logic matches the UI. Can you please also verify
that the Ads API matches the Ads UI for your report?

The CriterionId for ad performance report migration

2022-03-18 Thread 'Hao Long' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
HI Google Support Team,

This conversation is ask help for how to get
CriterionId(segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion in Google Ads API) in
Google Ads API.

we have Google AdWords query as below need migrate to Google Ads API:
select
Date
, CriterionId
, Id
, AdGroupId
, CampaignId
, AccountCurrencyCode
, Cost
, Clicks
, Impressions
, Device
, Interactions
, InteractionRate
from ad_performance_report

and Google Ads API query transfer as below:
select
segments.date,
segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion,
ad_group_ad.ad.id,
ad_group.id,
campaign.id,
customer.currency_code,
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.clicks,
metrics.impressions,
segments.device,
metrics.interactions,
metrics.interaction_rate
from ad_group_ad
WHERE segments.date DURING LAST_7_DAYS

By data comparison we found if include
segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion, in select clause, it will led some
records could not download. once we removed this field from select clause
the data volume is very close between the data download from AdWords and
Ads API.

As CriterionId is very important field we will used in downstream logic we
need download this field as Google AdWords API. for my understanding field
segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion should query from keyword_view? if yes
could you please help guide how to map this field back to data feed
download from ad_group_ad?

Thanks
Hao

metrics.cost_micros, metrics.clicks, metrics.impressions, segments.device,
metrics.interactions, metrics.interaction_rate from ad_group_ad where
segments.date between '2022-02-25' and '2022-02-28' and metrics.impressions

RE: Ads from paused campaigns missing from Ad Performance Report

2022-02-13 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Mark,

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

The supported entity types of the AdWords API's reports are limited as compared
to the Google Ads API. That being said, you may note that the AdWords API is
deprecated and will be sunset on April 27, 2022. We strongly recommend that you
migrate to the Google Ads API as soon as possible.

You then try to use the ad_group_ad report instead. If you are still unable to
extract these ad types, you may provide our team with the generated and
complete request and response logs, with the request-id, and login-customer-id
used. To enable logging, you may navigate to the Client libraries > Your client
library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.

For the logs, you may send these via the Reply privately to author option. If
this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com alias instead.

Best regards,

Peter Laurence

Re: Ads from paused campaigns missing from Ad Performance Report

2022-02-11 Thread Mark Hannah
I recently discovered that all the paused campaigns I was looking for all
had the AdType of "Mobile app installs ad v2." I am seeing ads from paused
campaigns, so the culprit seems to be this AdType that prevented these ads
from being ingested. This seems to be some sort of custom AdType that I
don't see on this list
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report#adtype.

Wondering why they aren't coming through?

I recently discovered that all the paused campaigns I was looking for all
had the AdType of "Mobile app installs ad v2." I am seeing ads from paused
campaigns, so the culprit seems to be this AdType that prevented these ads
from being ingested. This seems to be some sort of customer AdType that I
don't see on this

Wondering why they aren't coming through?

Ads from paused campaigns missing from Ad Performance Report

2022-02-11 Thread Mark Hannah
Hi! When I pull data from the Ad Performance Report (using Stitch), I don't
see ads from paused campaigns. I do see the paused campaigns in the
Campaign Performance Report, but I'd like to be able to report on ads from
paused campaigns as well.

When I log into the Google Ads dashboard I see these ads, and they have
cost, impression, etc. data associated with them. I'm assuming there is a
segment that I need to add or remove, but I'm not sure which one to use.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

we found some useful information: The Google Ads API have 0 impression
filter auto applied for each performance data, could you please help
confirm?

if yes then should be this case led the gap between Google Adwords and Ads
API. Cause we have ads structure data requirement, we need all the ads list
even 0 impression, could you please help guide how to remove this auto
applied filter?

btw we still confused the Google Adwords API return the same number on our
daily batch download program:
Google Adword API:

Google Ads API: How to get Label in Ad Performance Report ?

2022-02-01 Thread Importer Neo
Hi,
We are planing to migrate to Google Ads API from old Ad words API.

I requested New Google Ads API call by using Python to pull Ad
Performance Report with label Info. Please see below Google Ads Query.

select
segments.date,segments.week,customer.descriptive_name,customer.currency_code,ad_group.id,ad_group.name,ad_group.status,ad_group_ad.ad.type,campaign.id,campaign.name,
campaign.status,ad_group_ad.ad.final_urls,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part1,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part2,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.headline_part3,ad_group_ad.ad.expanded_text_ad.description,ad_group_ad.ad.url_custom_parameters,
*ad_group_ad_labels*.ad_group_ad,metrics.clicks,metrics.impressions,metrics.cost_micros,metrics.conversions,metrics.view_through_conversions

from ad_group_ad

Value in *ad_group_ad_labels* field is coming as ex:*
customers/X/ads/XXX* Instead of existing Adwords API call value
like ex: ["Shoes 2022"].

Please help me on that how to pull original Label field value by using
Google Ads API. Let me know need any additional info from my side.

Thank you,
Sri.

Re: Ad Performance Report

2022-01-28 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hello Hao,

Thanks for getting back. For us to investigate, we will need a full log of
request and response logs with request ID and request header generated on your
end of API communications of the report pull.
The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST
documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to
see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger
to 'DEBUG' will get the desired log.

Please send the requested details via the Reply privately to the author option.

Hi Aileen,

Since it appears you are using the BigQuery Google Ads Script, please post your
issue on the Google Ads Scripts forum as they are better suited to provide
assistance on this.

Ad Performance Report Results

2021-03-07 Thread 'Aileen Nindita Chrismono' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Recently I've tried to export report from Google Adwords to BigQuery using
script inside google adwords with this details :

  REPORTS: {NAME: 'Adwords_Campaign_Report', NAME2:
'AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT', CONDITIONS:' WHERE Impressions > 0 ',
 FIELDS: {
'Date' : 'Date',
'CampaignName' : 'String',
'AdGroupName' : 'String',
'AdType' : 'String',
'Clicks' : 'Int64',
'Conversions' : 'Float64',
'Cost' : 'Numeric',
'Impressions' : 'Int64',
   }

However the sum of clicks and impressions on daily level are lesser than
the results coming from campaign_performance_report and
adgroup_performance_report when aggregated in ad group or campaign level.
Could you please help me?

Thank you!

Loading Store visits conversion along with CriterionId from Ad Performance Report

2020-12-15 Thread Alexander Barabash
Hello,

We load conversions from *Ad Performance Report* and we discovered an
unexpected behavior of the API. If we add the *CriterionId *field into the
request, *Store visits* conversion is not returned only for one particular
account. At the same time, we successfully load *Store visits* along with
*CriterionId
*for all other accounts. For the affected account we load all other
conversions. So it looks like we have a problem with a single conversion
for a single account. Can you please help us solve the issue?

If we use this request, *Store visits* are not loaded for the affected
account but are successfully loaded for other accounts.

Ok, sure. Can you confirm finally whether the Google Ads API will work with
PHP 5.6 version? As i seeing with this

link the minimum PHP version might need is PHP 7.2. Also tried to build
vendor files with PHP 5.6 for this library but i could not able to do it.
Please confirm on this.

Re: Ad Performance Report missed data when CriterionId is included

2020-09-07 Thread 'Dmitry Kozyrev' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Mitchell,

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately I did not receive the permission to
share that data.

But recently we ran into a similar issue (for another customer):

curl --http1.1 \
--header "Authorization : Bearer {AuthorizationToken}" \
--header "developerToken : {DeveloperToken}" \
--header "includeZeroImpressions: false" \
--header "clientCustomerId : {CustomerId}" \
--data "__rdquery=SELECT *Date, Conversions, CriterionId* FROM
AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE CampaignId='{CampaignId}' DURING
20200812,20200818&__fmt=CSV" \
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201809

This query returns total Conversions = 19. But when I remove CriterionId
from the fields, total Conversions become 268 (and this value matches the
UI).

(I also asked the customer for the permission to share the reports if you
need it.)

Best regards,
Dmitry

Null values in Ad column- Ad Performance report

2020-08-18 Thread Romi Rozhansky
Hi,

When I try to fetch the "Ad" column in the Ad Performance report, I get a
column of Null values. Although in the UI we can see that there is content
to those ads (screenshots attached).

The report definition:
{"reportName": u"AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT", "selector": {"predicates":
[{"operator": "IN", "field": "AdGroupStatus", "values": ["REMOVED",
"PAUSED", "ENABLED"]}, {"operator": "IN", "field": "CampaignStatus",
"values": ["REMOVED", "PAUSED", "ENABLED"]}], "fields":
["AccountDescriptiveName", "AccountCurrencyCode", "AccountTimeZone",
"AdNetworkType1", "Date", "CampaignName", "CampaignId", "CampaignStatus",
"AdGroupName", "AdGroupId", "Headline", "Id", "Status", "CriterionId",
"LabelIds", "Labels", "Cost", "Impressions", "Clicks", "Conversions",
"AllConversions", "AllConversionValue", "ViewThroughConversions",
"VideoQuartile75Rate", "VideoQuartile100Rate", "VideoViews",
"Interactions", "CurrentModelAttributedConversionValue"], "dateRange":
{"max": "20200818", "min": "20200801"}}, "reportType":
u"AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT", "dateRangeType": "CUSTOM_DATE", "downloadFormat":
"CSV"}

[image: null values.png][image: UI content.PNG]
Please help me to figure out the cause of this discrepancy.

Thanks in advance,
Romi

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for reaching out. The Ad Performance Report includes all statistics
aggregated at the ad level while the Campaign Performance Report includes all
statistics aggregated by default at the campaign level. Since both of these

Discrepancies between ad-performance-report and campaign-performance-report

2020-06-18 Thread Andrew Pashkin

Hello!

I use AdWords API to download performance reports and I've noticed that
some campaigns are missing from the ad-performance-report in comparison
with the campaign-performance-report and it leads to significant
discrepancies in totals.

I wonder what could be the reason of it? Did somebody encounter a
similar problem?

Ad Performance Report missed data when CriterionId is included

2020-06-02 Thread 'Dmitry Kozyrev' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

Our customer uses automated report fetching similar to following:

curl --http1.1 \
--header "Authorization : Bearer {AuthorizationToken}" \
--header "developerToken : {DeveloperToken}" \
--header "includeZeroImpressions: false" \
--header "clientCustomerId : {CustomerId}" \
--data "__rdquery=SELECT AdNetworkType1, AdNetworkType2,
BaseCampaignId, AccountTimeZone, CampaignName, ViewThroughConversions,
Cost, ActiveViewImpressions, CampaignId, ImageCreativeName,
UniversalAppAdYouTubeVideos, ConversionValue,
ActiveViewMeasurableImpressions, InteractionTypes, Impressions,
ActiveViewMeasurableCost, Device, ActiveViewViewability, AdGroupName, Date,
ExternalCustomerId, IsNegative, MultiAssetResponsiveDisplayAdYouTubeVideos,
AccountDescriptiveName, AccountCurrencyCode, Conversions, Slot, Id,
Interactions, AdGroupId, Clicks, BaseAdGroupId, ActiveViewMeasurability,
CriterionId, CriterionType FROM AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING
20200501,20200531&__fmt=CSV" \
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201809

He notices that the sum of Cost for specific customer is lower than it
should be (than the one he can see in the UI in another report).

We found that if we remove CriterionId, CriterionType, and IsNegative
columns from the report queried from the API the total Cost will match the
correct value.

So the question is why adding the fields related to Criterion leads to less
Cost data returned?

Dmitry

Ad Performance Report

2020-03-06 Thread Matthieu

Hello Google API team,

Is there a way to retrieve ad level data from UAC campaigns ?

It seems only a few reports are available with UAC campaigns (see links
below) . Is there a workaround ? If so, what would it be ?

Best,

MM

Reports found for UAC :

   - ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
   - CAMPAIGN_LOCATION_TARGET_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_NEGATIVE_KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

   - CAMPAIGN_NEGATIVE_LOCATIONS_REPORT

Thanks for your response. I wrote Python code to pull the data from Ad
Performance Report and I can get values for the field 'device'. The problem
seems to be with Adwords connector in Microsoft Azure. We have raised a
ticket with Microsoft. Thanks for the inputs

Different Cost between AD Performance Report and Geo Performance Report

2019-10-15 Thread Eduardo Lazarotto
Hi,

I'm trying to get geo performance report to identify campaign cost by
country, but the cost between AD Performance Report and the Geo Report is
different, only for display or video campaigns. Usually, the cost of Geo
Report is greater than Ad Report.

I'm using the python SDK and the query below:

report_query = (adwords.ReportQueryBuilder()
.Select('Date',
'AdGroupId',
'AdGroupName',
'CampaignId',
'CampaignName',
'Impressions',
'Clicks',
'Conversions',
'Cost',
'Ctr',
'Interactions',
'VideoViews',
'CountryCriteriaId',
'IsTargetingLocation',
'LocationType',
'AdFormat',
'AdNetworkType1',
'AdNetworkType2')
.From('GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT')
.Where('LocationType').EqualTo('LOCATION_OF_PRESENCE')
.Where('IsTargetingLocation').In('true', 'false')
.During(start_date=20191003, end_date=20191003)
.Build())

I need to do any extra filter to get the same result of Ad Performance
Report?

Re: Criteria Report missing costs from Ad Performance Report

2019-10-03 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ignacio,

Thank you for providing more insight about what you wish to achieve.

Firstly, UI and API reports at this point may not match 100% due to certain
campaign types and ad types' statistics not being available in the AdWords API.
Taking that into consideration, you may still be able to match UI and API
reports by using the appropriate filters to separate those entities that are
supported and those that are not.

Also, since you are interested in getting criteria level statistics, I would
recommend that you use criteria specific reports, instead of the Criteria
Performance Report. You can refer to this guide and to this section to map a
specific Google Ads UI criteria view to its equivalent AdWords API report.
Furthermore, for those other criteria that do not have a report type which
specialize in their statistics, you may use instead the Google Ads UI view
instead as a workaround to track the metrics of those criteria that are not
available directly in the AdWords API's reports.

Let me know if this helps.

Best regards,
Peter

Re: Criteria Report missing costs from Ad Performance Report

2019-10-02 Thread Ignacio Vazquez
Thanks for the swift response Peter!

We don't really mind if only the single most relevant criteria is shown,
but we do want that the API reports to match with the actual cost in the UI
reports.

Since we aggregate at the lowest level possible (we thought this was
possible at the Criteria level), what's the best course of action here?

One workaround we thought about was to get an Ad Group level performance
report, substract all the Criteria level metrics from each Ad Group and
create a new pseudo-Criteria in our internal reporting system with the
difference. Would that capture all the missing metrics from the API?

Cheers,

RE: Criteria Report missing costs from Ad Performance Report

2019-10-02 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Ignacio,

Unfortunately, discovery campaigns are not yet available in the AdWords API's
reports. You can refer to the AdvertisingChannelType and
AdvertisingChannelSubType fields of the Campaign Performance Report to learn
which campaign types are currently supported. You may follow our blog for any
updates or announcements related to this campaign type.

Regarding the Criteria Performance Report, this is a single attribution type
and this means that, AdWords would return only the criteria it deems most
relevant for the impression. That being said, all criteria types are not
guaranteed to be returned by this report. I would recommend that you use the
other report types, listed here, which specialize on a specific criteria
instead.

As for the Adgroup Performance Report, regardless of what type of campaign,
this report would not be able to segment the data further by criteria type as
all statistics are aggregated at the ad group level. Furthermore, could you
confirm if you are indeed able to retrieve ad groups that are associated to
discovery campaigns? If yes, could you provide your clientCustomerId and the
complete Google Ads UI screenshot that you compared the API report to, so I can
further investigate?

You may send the requested details using the Reply privately to author option.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Criteria Report missing costs from Ad Performance Report

2019-10-02 Thread Ignacio Vazquez

Hi there!

We've been running the following report to get a criteria-level performance
report for our account

SELECT Date, Id, Criteria, CriteriaType, DisplayName, AdGroupId, AdGroupName
,
CampaignId, CampaignName, AccountDescriptiveName, AccountCurrencyCode, Cost,
AllConversions, AllConversionValue, Impressions, Clicks, Status,
ExternalCustomerId,
CpcBid, CpcBidSource, CpmBid, TopOfPageCpc, AveragePosition
FROM CRITERIA_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE Cost > 1 AND CampaignName='XXX'
DURING 20191001,20191001

However, using this query for the new *Discovery Campaigns* we are only
getting a fraction of the cost when compared to the Ads UI (which reports
three times as many impressions, clicks and cost).

The only Criteria Type showing is "Custom In-Market"

If we run the ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, we get the same values as the
Google Ads UI, but no indication on how

SELECT Date, Cost, AdNetworkType1, AdNetworkType2, ClickType, Slot,
AccountCurrencyCode,
AccountDescriptiveName, AccountTimeZone, AdGroupDesktopBidModifier,
AdGroupId, AdGroupMobileBidModifier,
AdGroupName, AdGroupStatus, AdGroupTabletBidModifier, AdGroupType,
AdRotationMode, BiddingStrategyId,
BiddingStrategyName, BiddingStrategySource, BiddingStrategyType, CampaignId,
CampaignName, CampaignStatus,
ContentBidCriterionTypeGroup, CpcBid, CpmBid, CpvBid,
CustomerDescriptiveName, EffectiveTargetRoas,
EffectiveTargetRoasSource, EnhancedCpcEnabled, ExternalCustomerId,
FinalUrlSuffix, LabelIds,
Labels, TargetCpa, TargetCpaBidSource, TrackingUrlTemplate,
UrlCustomParameters
FROM ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
WHERE Cost > 1 AND CampaignName='XXX'
DURING 20191001,20191001

How do we get a criteria-level-like report for this Campaign, including all
the cost in ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT, but segregated by Criteria?
Does this make sense?

Thank you!

Missing Ad Groups in Ad Performance Report

2019-08-14 Thread Emily
Hi there,

I'm using the AdWords API to pull Ad Group Performance data and noticed a
few ad groups that are missing in the API pull but are visible in reports
pulled through the UI. These ad groups have clicks and impressions which is
leading to a large discrepancy between the reports pulled through the API
and reports pulled through the UI.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

RE: Empty Label values in API response for ad performance report

2019-07-16 Thread Google Ads API Forum Advisor Prod
Hi Damir,

Thank you for posting your concern.

Could you confirm if the 'Budget - GDN' label name is associated only in the
campaign with ID 1370474364? If yes, I asked this because when I checked your
account, the ad groups that belongs to the campaign 'Avery - GDN - Prospecting
- Responsive' don't have associated label name.

With this reason, could you confirm if my understanding is correct that you are
expecting to return the label 'Budget - GDN' if you will use the Ad Performance
Report because it belongs to the campaign 'Avery - GDN - Prospecting -
Responsive'? If yes, I am afraid that this is not possible as the Ad
Performance Report returns the data/statistic aggregated at the ad group level.
It means that it will only return the labels associated at ad group level.

Let me know if you have questions/clarifications.

The HeadlinePart1 and HeadlinePart2 fields are specifically for
ExpandedTextAds. Since these fields are a recent addition to the Call Only
Ads, these are not yet supported through the API. Please keep an eye on our

Call Only Ads has data missing through Ad Performance Report

Hi,

I have downloaded report AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for Call only ad adtype.
But AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT has Headline1 Headline2 is coming as -- but in
real UI there is values.

I am not getting those values through API again Headline 1 and Headline 2.

Is this feature not available through API?

Re: Ad Performance Report And AdType

2018-12-25 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Eric,

I am a colleague of Luis, allow me to provide additional support for your
concern. Zweitze is correct, upon checking the fields you have provided,
the field SearchImpressionShare
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/all-reports#searchimpressionshare>
 is
not supported in the Ad Performance Report. Could you try omitting this
field and retry your request? This should fix the error.

Re: Ad Performance Report And AdType

2018-12-24 Thread Zweitze
Assuming you attempt to use AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT make sure you only use
fields compatible for exactly that type of report. For instance, you use
SearchImpressionShare which is -AFAIK- not supported by
AD_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.

You may be using more fields intended for other reports.

 means
a customer passed an invalid field name for a report type.

Could you provide the complete report definition you used as well as your
clientCustomerId when you encountered the
ReportDefinitionError.INVALID_FIELD_NAME_FOR_REPORT error
so I could further check this. Please reply via *Reply privately to author*.

Ad Performance Report And AdType

2018-12-20 Thread Eric Foertsch
Hello,

I am trying to download some Ad Performance reports from the Google Ads API

Here are the fields I am requesting:

  // Attributes

  "CreativeFinalUrls",
  "Id",
  "Labels",
  "LabelIds",
  "ImageAdUrl",
  "ImageCreativeImageHeight",

  "VideoViewRate",
  "VideoQuartile100Rate",
  "VideoQuartile25Rate",

Looking at the documentation it doesn't look like there is a restriction
on AdType even though the error says that there is one.

Has anyone encountered this error before?

Here's the response from the AdWords Scripts team:
With regards to your question about the '*ExpandedTextAdDescription2*' and
the '*ExpandedTextAdHeadlinePart3*', the current API version that the
Google Ads Scripts report is using is *v201806* so I am afraid that the
said fields are not yet supported since these fields are only available
starting *v201809*.

Re: Campaign Status on Ad Performance Report

2018-10-25 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Douglas,

I'm afraid that campaign status is represented differently via the AdWords
API reports. That said, the "Ended" and "Serving" status is not available
via the AdWords API. However, you should be able to determine whether a
campaign is still serving by referring to the StartDate
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#startdate>
 and EndDate
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report#enddate>
 fields
of the Campaign Performance Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/campaign-performance-report>
.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Actual Cost metric in ad-performance-report

2018-10-23 Thread 'Teja Makani' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

The cost
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report#cost>
 field
in the Ad Performance Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/ad-performance-report>
 is
the sum of your spend during that period on that particular Ad. It is the
actual cost that matches with the cost field of UI, you could refer this
guide <https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/uireports> to
know the corresponding API reports matches to the UI. If you are facing any
issue, please share the report definition along with the client customer
id. You can use reply privately to the author option while responding.

Regards,
Sai Teja, AdWords API Team.

Actual Cost metric in ad-performance-report

2018-10-23 Thread Armalytics Dev
Hi,

I am trying to create ad-performance-report referring below URL.
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/v201806/ad-performance-report#cost

But in metrics of this report I could not see any metric which will help me
to identify Actual Cost.

There is *Cost* metric but it is the sum of your cost-per-click (CPC) and
cost-per-thousand impressions (CPM) costs during this period

Please let me know what is the correct metrics to get actual cost.

Re: Ad Performance Report

2018-10-21 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Chris,

Ad Performance Report should be able to retrieve all statistics in the ad
level. However, since you mentioned that the results you are getting are
not what you are expecting, could you provide the complete report definition
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#create_a_report_definition>
 and
a screenshot of the report in the Google Ads UI so I could investigate this
further? You may send them via the *Reply privately to author* option.

Regards,
Dannison
AdWords API Team
