Guess I should call them and find out what they have.

They do have DIN mount managed POE switches with gigabit.

Phoenix device is a nice package and I like an easy way to mount stuff.
I still have a ton of DIN mount hardware from when I used to make boxes

Guess I should call them and find out what they have.

I need something that can handle a hotbox in full sun. 1Gbps.
Like to set-up port#1 so I can plug in my laptop directly and have
the other ports on a VLAN and automatic 24v POE.

UISP isn't playing well with shit anymore, either, so a switch
that doesn't appear probably isn't that important just as long as
I can dig into it via some other means. Please tell about your
experience with Phoenix?

I can't read your Phoenix model number

[AFMUG] Mikrotik question

2021-08-04 Thread Larry Smith

Ok, question for the borg: My research indicates
that Mikrotik still does not support Virtual Tunnel
Interfaces (VTI) even though its been out since around
2004 or so. We have a client, who's remote application
vendor wants to do an ipsec tunnel using VTI - and our
router onsite is a CCR-1036. Am I going to have to
replace the onsite router or is there a way to do this
that I am not seeing?

Re: [AFMUG] Replacing Tough switches

2021-08-04 Thread Jan-GAMs

That's a nice box, you make it?

I need something that can handle a hotbox in full sun.  1Gbps. Like to
set-up port#1 so I can plug in my laptop directly and have the other
ports on a VLAN and automatic 24v POE.

UISP isn't playing well with shit anymore, either, so a switch that
doesn't appear probably isn't that important just as long as I can dig
into it via some other means.  Please tell about your experience with
Phoenix?

I can't read your Phoenix model number

The TS-5s don't hold up well in our heat especially at lift station
sites where enclosures are free standing and not inside buildings.
