Re: [AFMUG] Fax Machines
I just ran into this yesterday. I wonder if it is a HIPPA thing or DEA thing where you can control the end point of the conveyance of the information? IP is not as secure, perhaps, in someone’s mind. Them doctors loves their faxes. First FTTH customer I ever did was to a larger office full of doctors. I talked them into swinging everything to me. I payed to have the incumbent hook them back up to POTS after a few days of trying. The main doctor in this new office building was a friend of mine. I will never touch a doctor or pharmacy again. Fax and IP/SIP just do not play nice. Re: [AFMUG] Fax Machines
All my fax customers requiring physical machines are Pharmacies faxing prescriptions, CPA's dealing with the IRS, Car Dealers doing Financing, and Realtors doing who knows what. I do have one auto repair guy that wanted a real fax machine so he could scribble out a sketch on a piece of paper and fax it to his supplier. I'm pretty sure 100% of the need for a real fax machine is the ease of scribbling it on a piece of paper and sending it. Instead of scanning and then emailing. Everyone else uses Email<->fax and is super happy with that. On 11/19/2021 11:24 AM, Jay Weekley wrote: Why do people fax anything in 2021? Mike Hammett wrote: I'm having fax problems as well.
