Can’t use thermocouples due to the high RF field inside. Still looking for a way to measure the temp of the heating zone. This is something I have been working on for a while. It really works well. I have some silicon carbide foam that absorbs microwaves embedded in some super high temp insulation. I got it so hot it actually melted a hole in the foam and made a crater in the fire brick it was setting on. No evidence of plasma, just pumping 1250 watts of energy into a very well insulated item. I was astounded that it was glowing through the insulation. -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
Re: [AFMUG] OT having fun
I used to cook frozen pizza in the microwave in college. The packaging specifically said not to, but I figured after 30 minutes anything that might have killed me would be dead. So if you microwave anything for long enough, you'll get a result. On 11/22/2021 3:24 PM, Chuck McCown via AF wrote: Yes, very happy. Liquidated the index fund (at least I have a pending order to sell at market). Moving it all to TSLA issuming TSLA is still low once the cash settles. -- AF mailing list AF@af.afmug.com http://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
