[agi] Re: Modular cognition
Consciousness is tracking video frames and data through time. Jellyfish, shell fish, and mollusks are sub conscious creatures and have less than a full mind, noconscious mind. A "Mindlet" in AGI is a single, small, auto conscious unit.A insect has one or a few while a human has many thousands mindlets. A insect has few mindlets working in its one brain. Each one predicts a reality andif one fails the other one takes over. The failed mindlet data is updated with the data of a correct predicting mindless and then re-predict possible futures. These realities are 3d simulations, done by the mindlets. A rodent brain has hundreds of mindlets working in one brain. The rodent has the insect configuration plus it has new mindletsthat can cross over into other simulations. Insect mind had one mindlet foreach simulation. Rodent can have tens of mindlets in the samesimulations. This allows viewing of objects from different angle of track or manyobjects form different angles. Self awareness arises when minds can compare minds againsteach other. A primate brain has many thousand rodent minds in one brain. There are many copies of the same mind at different ages and the building, trainingof future minds, in a unsupervised manner. When you sample data near the quantum, above absolute zero, it can take hours to detect a signal that is, above the nose, which is data. In a super conductor there is very little noise so it take a sorter time to find the signal. In the back ground microwave radiation it could take hundreds of years to find a signal. Recording the noise, which is non compress able, until it becomes a repeating pattern. Data compression is dimension reduction. Re: [agi] Toward a Useful General Theory of General Intelligence
john, So correct as you are. As fractal logic is. One). One lizard mind can sense inputs and do outputs. There are many in one brain and there needs to be coordination, so that two or more are not making a output to the same motor or voice box. Two). A lizard mind has access to incoming data, vision, touch, audio. And output, motors and sound box. Seeing a balloon pop is on one data channel and sound is another. Left and right ear, left and right eye. This is 4 data track, of temporal data, coming into one lizard mind. So a clear distinction between lizard minds and data track must be made here by people reading this. There so much date coming in the One lizard must clone it self many times, helper clones, back up clones, avatar clones, and a judging clone. All these clone make up the sub conscious mind. The One lizard mind become a conscious mind and the helpers become sub conscious minds. When the conscious mind leans to walk it is given over to the sub conscious brain. The conscious mind, clones minds, start and stops sub conscious minds. stops self activates sub clones, learns new patterns, and coordinate sub mind to work together as a army of clones. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T9a211170d976967d-Md793e18eb00bcf54ec385553 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

[agi] Re: What pattern does GAN model ???
Since GAN's are totally supervised learning, It is totally on the author or programmer of the GAN to pick the CNN for it. The CNN could be a birds or a morph between time in a local area, or sequence through time. When the generator NN is generating something between a chicken and a turkey the CNN fire 0.5 for chicken and 0.5 for turkey. A 1.0 means it is a chicken on the chicken output one the the other side of the CNN. Or 1.0 for turkey for the dedicated output for turkey. The generator NN has a value you input for chicken, let say the value five. And turkey has a value of eight. You put a the value of five into the input of the generator network and image of a chicken pop out on the other side and the CNN. That activates it dedicated chicken output when it see the chicken appear on the output of the generator NN. A six inputted into the generator NN will generate some thing in between the two birds. The CNN will activate a 0.5 on the chicken line and 0.5 on the turkey line. You need a register for each morph, hair, color, and etc. Which are inputted into the front end of the Generator NN. The training algorithm is needed for the generator NN. First you get your fully trained CNN. Second you get your generator NN. Third you select a random value to input into your generator NN. The number could be a phone number or a sequence number in a video. Fourth you point your CNN at a bird that the Cnn is trained to detect. Fifth you have software that change the weights of generator NN. when the generator NN generate a bird that the cnn can detect the cnn activates. The CNN fires off. In AGI science, the AGI selects selects a pattern loop. The path to be taken is the center. The path is the center of the attractor. A AGI units uses motors always trying to stay the course. -- Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T42e4833e6fa7875c-M45d4048a836ba4a2402ffc97 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription

Re: [agi] Re: Go master quits because AI 'cannot be defeated'
There is a perceptron the ID all object. A second generative NN that transform the object position into the next frame, a prediction from past data. Self training happens by comparing two frame of data a , eye, percepton activates when dead center over target and then moves to second frame. The eye searches for target and when eye percepton is over target again then eye percepton activates again. The eye perceptron change in position as a input into the generator nn for prediction. No real math just gradient of decent and remembering.
