Though he may have done anti national works for which he is deserving
prison punishment but how can we forget that he is a our differently
able brother. We should demand for humane punishment as per our

Gene therapy may help reverse blindness

Researchers have shown that gene therapy might help reverse blindness
by reprogramming cells.

Researchers have shown that gene therapy might help reverse blindness
by reprogramming cells at the back of the eye to become light
sensitive. Retinitis pigmentosa — the most common cause of blindness
in young people — occurs mostly due to loss of millions of light
sensitive photoreceptor cells that line the retina. The remaining
retinal nerve cells, which are not light sensitive, however, remain in
the eye which can be treated using gene therapy, the researchers said.
“There are many blind patients in our clinics and the ability to give
them some sight back with a relatively simple genetic procedure is
very exciting,” said lead author Samantha de Silva, specialist
registrar, Ophthalmology and Clinical research training fellow at the
University of Oxford.

“Our next step will be to start a clinical trial to assess this in
patients.” In the study, detailed in the Proceedings of the National
Academy of Sciences, the team used a viral vector to express a light
sensitive protein, melanopsin, in the residual retinal cells in mice
which were blind from retinitis pigmentosa. Post treatment, the mice
were monitored for over a year and they maintained vision during this
time as they were able to recognise objects in their environment which
indicated a high level of visual perception. The cells expressing
melanopsin were able to respond to light and send visual signals to
the brain, the researchers said. Read here Fish eyes may help find

Re: [Ai] Internet banking in SBI

2017-08-25 Thread Chirag Mittal via Ai
Dear Friends,
Its very simple to activate internet banking and also its very
accessible. You can activate it either by IRATA( internet banking
through ATM) by going to ATM and taking help of some sighted person.
Other self independent way to activate it is by www.onlinesbi.com.
Open links by insert plus 7 , enter on new user registration. Fill up
details like accountnumber CIF number from pass book, branch code
mobile number and just get that. Unlike HDFC , SBI net banking is very
easy and accessible. Enjoy!!

I am convent educated and tried hard for mains exam. My RTI unheard
and I filed rechecking appeal in High court Chandigarh. High court
refused for rechecking on grounds that it will be an excuse for
others for rechecking. Well, only continuous struggle can make our

Re: [Ai] AI My article: Proud to be visually impaired!!

2017-07-23 Thread Chirag Mittal via Ai
Hi,
well said!!!, A very new approach towards life. I will like to add
that if you want to proud for being divyang, it must be supported with
a reason. The best reason in my view to be proud of is not the
concessions we are having because thats are in principle of natural
justice as propogated by John Rolls but the vision of our towards
life. may you get disagree but I believe that if we want our life to
be proud of then we must have a goal of upgrading our society by any
way we feel comfortable and meaningful. Only that you along with
society will be proud of your being.
