The Windows task manager is not reliable to detect memory leaks in applications. I can tell you only if the memory is returned to the system and if the system really uses it. But there is a memory management between the application and the system, and it is possible that it's just an implementation detail that the memory manager of the runtime library just doesn't return memory immediately. I don't say you are wrong, but the whole problem is very complicated and usually takes a long time to investigate. *If* there really was a memory leakage of 22KB per document I wouldn't see this as a big problem for 99.5% of the users, so the target Later is still the right one for me. If the Layout of headers and footers is chosen prior to the Layout of data, things are fine, no crash. Using the same choices as cause the crash too. ;) Unsure if this is an artifact of some other bug, or if it's already been fixed and I should test again in m80 or so in a few days. (Screenshot attached to this issue) For example, I've got a HSQL database called Business, with two tables Products and Customers. Choosing the Tables option from the Database pane on the left, then right clicking on either of my two tables brings up the context menu. The options on the context menu are Copy, Delete, Edit, Open, Form Wizard, Report Wizard, Select All, and a submenu for Database. But the submenu for Database has no items in it, and even after waiting several minutes, no items appear. (Probably best to check the screenshot) If there shouldn't be any submenu items here, perhaps this menu choice shouldn't be shown, because it definitely doesn't feel right nor look right when using the context menu and nothings there... The first line is how I expect the text. The second line does not render the combination of mark and base character correct. The mark is always moved to the left. The third line is special because Arial does not have the needed characters, so OOo is using a replacement for the single mark characters. It looks like OOo renders a dotted circle and a separate mark which gets moved to the left. I have the same problem with Khmer, but Khmer is not supported in 680m78 so I looked for another language with the same symptoms. Do the crashed ones disappear or hang around? I've had this happen as well, but I'm not sure it's a OOo bug. I think it might just be that when an application crashes, Windows doesn't know to remove the icon from the task tray. Moving the mouse over it (for me) tells windows to update things and the extra quickstarters disappear.
