Tried the fix mentioned in that forums link and also tried turning opengl on/off. Still no joy. Consistently get BSOD when doing a small 4 slide show using the troublesome transitions (wipes, etc.) I installed 1.1.4 and the exact same transitions work smoothly, perfectly without BSOD. I also run many of the videogames that the gentleman was having problems with in that forums thread and have no issues with them at all. The fact that 1.1.4 works great under the same exact conditions on the same exact machines makes me feel this is an issue with 2.0 beta (m100) and not an ati driver issue. I'm tempted to say that this is a wontfix for the frontpage.
It was a design decision to reduce the number of available links to a minimum on
the frontpage.
You'll find links to issues when you log-in (on "My Pages") and when visiting
any project (if the project didn't decide to hide it)
I agree that the issueZilla-Link is not easy to find on the support-pages
(actually, there is not link at all on the support-page) - so I guess you meant
the "new user & general info"-page.
So the "suggested" ways of accessing issueZilla are:
1) Follow the link given in the notification issueZilla sends you
2) Log in/use the "My Pages" link
3) visit any project other than www
4) add a "smart bookmark" to your browser's toolbar (that's what I like a lot -
better than any link on a webpage).
So basically I don't see the need for a link to issuezilla for registered users.
But I see the need for a link for those that want to report a bug for the first
time - without knowing that they need to be a registered user to do so.
Thus I think the best location for such a link would be the support-pages
( http://support.openoffice.org/index.html ) and the "new users & general
information" page ( http://www.openoffice.org/about_us/new.html )
The support-page lack a link completey whereas the "new?" page has a link in the
left toolbox ("Report a Bug") and in the body-text.
Maybe the contributing page is another candidate. It already has a QA-Link (with
a bug to smash :-) so this links can probably be renamed to read "QA (Quality
Assurance) / Bug Reporting" or something similar and add a small paragraph to
the description...
Concrete suggestions welcome.

The formatting errors are numerous, the easiest way to see them is to open the spreadsheet in Excel (I use Excel 2000 9.0.6926 SP-3 if that matters) and Calc (both at 75% zoom) at the same time and it should be immediately apparent that there is a lot wrong. In case you don't have access to Excel then I think it is still fairly easy to see the problem. It seems to me that the problems are because Calc is rendering the fonts far bigger than Excel is so they aren't fitting into the cells properly. Even more strange, it looks to me as if some cells display the right size but others don't. Look for instance at A27-A30; A27 & A30 look OK but A28 & A29 don't. Also look at A21/22 (merged) and A23/24 (merged); A23/24 looks OK but A21/22 looks wrong. Note also that the problem isn't limited to CGOmega 10 font. Cell A2 is Arial 11 and that is wrong (relative to how Excel displays it). Finally, I did try this spreadsheet on StarOffice7 (not the base OpenOffice I'm afraid, I wasn't sure if installing 2 versions of OpenOffice would mess up my PC). StarOffice renders the test spreadsheet just fine so I'm not sure if maybe something broke between OpenOffice 1 and 2, or maybe it was always broken in OpenOffice but the StarOffice people fixed it.
