It takes a long time to open this file in OOo but eventually it opens. If you know press F5 (the Navigator opens) and go to the Graphics section of the dialog, you will see about 9303 graphics listed. Double click one of it and see there it is located. As we have to import all these little useless graphics it takes some time. Excel itself is faster, yes, but it seems they use a trick to not import/show these graphics. So the problem is the designer of this file. I close this as worksforme because the file opens and we have to import all these graphics as they are not all of the same size and *can* be important even if they are not actually. If SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING seems to influence then the problem mos probably is a not running locking server on the NFS server or the lock service not running on the client. Please make sure that on the server side the lock daemon is running and on the client side (SuSE 9.1) that /etc/init.d/portmap and /etc/init.d/nfslock are started; that should start the client side lock daemon for NFS as well. There were no (or at lest no useful) installation instructions, so I did a pkgadd -d . from the unpack dir and answered y to every question. After that I started OOo by clicking the Star button on the desktop (Running GNOME) and OOo started up OK. My first test was opening up a fresh Calc, puttin 1 in A1, and dragging the lower right corner (lrc) downwards to fill A2, A3, and so on with 2, 3, 4 etc. All OK. The I put a formula in B1 [=POWER(A1;2)] wich of course gave me a 1 in that cell. Then again I dragged the lrc to extend the formula to the other cells in column B but then OOo immediatly crashed (and recovered). I can copy a formula (Ctrl-C) and paste it into another cell (Ctrl-V) and it works as expected but dragging the cells lrc gives a crash. It _is_ good to ask this question, but definitely not using a Yes/No/Cancel box.
