At http://www.stage.openoffice.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi, the projects are sorted
ignoring the case, while at http://www.openoffice.org/issues/enter_bug.cgi, the
case is respected.

As a result, in the "old" submission page, the main applications are at the top
of the list, in the "new" submission page, they're spread all over the list.

Given that it's most likely that visitors of this submission page want to submit
an issue for one of the applications, it's desirable that the old sorting
behavior is restored.

Hi,

LC_NUMERIC isn't interpreted.

The correct thousands separator is a space, so there is no defect and I close
this Issue as invalid.

Hi,

please file an enhancement request for making drag fill working like Excel. It
makes it more clear as this Issue is quite old and as I told you before mixing

Seems that somehow the permissions to add comments to issues got screwed up on
the staging installation.

For instance, look at issue
http://www.stage.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64991. It was submitted
by bfs, and is currently owned by bfs.

When logged in as user "fs" (which has the domain-wide roles "Canconfirm",
"Issue Tracker Admin", "Registered User"), I cannot add any comment to this
issue. What makes this particulary weird is that "fs" has all permissions to
modify other aspects of the issue. For instance, I can reassign the issue, and
submit the form, which gives me an error message "Configuration requires a
comment be entered, but you don't have the necessary permissions to add a
comment.".

Interestingly, other accounts seem to have the proper permissions:
Cp.
  http://www.stage.openoffice.org/issues/editusers.cgi?action=edit&user=fs
with
  http://www.stage.openoffice.org/issues/editusers.cgi?action=edit&user=cloph

"cloph" has the "Add Comment" privilege, "fs" doesn't. Not sure what cloph's
domain wide roles are, but seems that one of them implies the "Add Comment"
privilege.

Anyway, I think that "Add Comment" is absolutely necessary for any IZ account,
at least for any IZ account with the "canconfirm" role. In agreement with ST,
this is a P1.

The following sequence resulted in document not being updated on disk on windows
XP SP2 + updates using OO 2.0.2.

* create new document launching writer from start/programs/OpenOffice.0rg 2.0
* type in text (i created at least 2 pages)
* save
* try to print to default printer, located on network while not connected to
networ
* connect network
* print
* additional edits
* save
* exit

The edits after printing is lost. Re-opening the document it is in the state it
printed

Problem seems to occur after network printing failed.

Under UNIX the XML-tag content is NOT read-only.
Reporter's work around could be to use the OOo XML -> *.sx*

This is NOT a regression. It happens only with (OASIS; .odt) "Application" in
XML FIlter settings and not with "*.sx* (OOo XML; .sxw). So, it is a new SRC680
issue and not in OOo 1.1.x

Test case:
- Add attached XSLT filter as im-/export filter for "Application" '$PRODUCTNAME
Writer (*.odt)'
- Name it "Flat XML"
- Extension example is fxml
- Create a new Writer document (Type 'dt' + in an english office)
- Save it to the new "Flat XML"-filter
- Close the document
- Load the document
BUG: You don't see the content you have exported you see the XML tags in
read-only mode.
NOTE: If you do that with *.sxw based XSLT filter the content will be displayed
correctly.

Those were my closing comments in Issue 62001 ;-) While that is true if only
considering CEE, that comment does not take into account the involvement of
the virus/spam filters in place before the mail reaches CEE. As have already
been told by the CN internal team, I now stand corrected on this notion
(silent dropped mails). CN is looking into ways to make sure that such
occurences are eliminated.

Draw's snap to grid feature does not seem to work properly. When dragging an
object around the grid, the grid snaps to the mouse pointer, not the corner of
the object. Thus it is difficult if not impossible to actually align the edges
of an object accurately with the grid (thus defeating the purpose of snap to
grid entirely).

To reproduce:
1) Open a new drawing
2) Turn on the grid under "Tools" -> "Options..." -> "OpenOffice.org Draw" ->
"Grid." I used 0.50" grid, 0 intermediate points.
3) Turn on snap to grid and visible grid in the same location, then close the
options dialog
4) Insert a basic object (say a rectangle) using the drawing toolbar
5) Click and drag the object around the grid, noting that
   (a) The object snaps at the correct interval, but
   (b) The object's corner does not align with the grid
6) Unclick in order to drop the object, noting that the point where you
originally clicked the object now seems to align with the grid, but the corner
doesn't.
7) Click and drag the object, then attempt to drop the object back into it's
original location. Note that 99% of the time you can't drop the object in the
same spot you picked it up, because the point of snap reference seems to change
each time you click the object.

For me, this renders the snap to grid feature entirely useless, unfortunately.

When editing an HTML file, in the Styles and Formatting popup, I select Modify
for Header 3 and the Paragraph Style Editor pops up with these tabs: drop caps,
background, borders, organizer, indents &spacing, alignment, text flow, font,
font effects, position, numbering and tabs. Under the borders tab, there are 5
options under Line Arrangement. So far so good.

But then I open another HTML file, do the same thing, and the editor only shows
these tabs: organizer, indents &spacing, alignment, font, font effects, position
and borders. And on the borders tab there are only 2 options under Line
Arrangement. I haven't looked for other differences.

So I close all OO windows then start again but reverse the order in which the
HTML files are read. The problem remains: in the second, the paragraph editor is
missing several things.

Do I have to pay extra to edit more than one file at a time???

so far to "CN doesn't silently drop mail"... :-(

If it rejects mail - fine. But then it should report so to the MDA.

Silently dropping mail is bad practice, even when it is only meant to avoid
spam.

When importing a specific MSWord document template with forms, OOo writer
crashes on open.

After the crash, the Document Recovery dialog opens and allows me to recover the
document. When OOo starts after recovery, the document loads as expected.

Document will be attached.

Hi Frank,

> following the description given by the reporter, this Issue is fixed.

Please forgive me for reopening this issue again. _I followed the steps given by
the reporter exactly_, and still see the problem in the latest version.

I am going to attach two screenshots - one for merged cell scenario in the
description and the other for typical non merged cell scenario.

I've just read issue 22758 originating from thread
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=37391
My proposal is this:
Drop that confusing hidden "unnamed" range and append some generic db-range
names like you already do with db-ranges having an import-descriptor
("import1",import2",...).

loss... Please fix is as soon as possible in 2.0.x line of OpenOffice.org.

I'm indicating platfrom PC + WinXP Pro (SP2) + OOo 2.0 as this is what I'm
using, but based on other user experiences relayed on forum thread mentioned in
original description I believe it does occur on WinXP, OOo 2.0.2 as well.

Also, note that the workaround results in the table being inside a frame, which
some users might not appreciate.

To recreate:
1 - Open new Text doc
2 - Ctrl-F12 (Insert.Table)
3 - OK
note: you now have a blank document with a table (2x2 in my case) on the first
line of the first page
4 - Click directly below the table
note: cursor now appears on blank line below table

Problem: blank line below table cannot be deleted. Pressing backspace moves the
cursor to the last cell of the table.

This is particularly annoying when that line happens to cause a page break at
the end of a document.

Issue 57586 is related but I don't believe it's a duplicate although in alci's
2005-11-14 02:35 comment on that issue he mentions this too.

Refer also http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?p=149894 on the user
forums.

Note that a workaround exists as per following steps:
1 - Create frame
2 - Create table in frame
3 - type text on the blank line below the table in the frame
4 - select text typed in 3 above
5 - Table.Convert.Text to table...
6 - right click in (single-row) table created in 5 and select Row.Delete

Note also that the behaviour of the line break after the table seems to match
the behaviour of an object with "No Wrap" setting (e.g. frame). However, on
table there appears to be no way of changing the wrap setting of the table.

The current velocity template on stage.openoffice.org renders project
index.html pages with full dynamic
content. On production (2.6.2; what we use now) most project index pages are
staticized and as a result of
a bug the ~/index.html page is rendered without the project header.

We like that.

We would like to change the velocity template so that ~/index.html is rendered.
 Please also detail the
consequences of this change

Thanks
louis

If there is no chance for you as support to generate a mail that will be sent to
all the lists telling that the mails have to be resent, I'd suggest to send a
mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (I'm not a project lead, so the list name
could be wrong) with a link to the issue and the proposed solution.

Every project lead is subscribed to this list, so informations given there will
be spread into every project.

If the project leads forward your mail to their lists the issue will be solved
with just a few steps.

This could be done with every severe problem affecting the entire mailing lists
system.

Just a proposal - Community Manager and project leads are the ones to decide...

Best regards
Bernhard

I looked at your patch:

http://website.openoffice.org/nonav/source/browse/udk/jvmfwk/plugins/sunmajor/pluginlib/sunjre.cxx?r2=1.3.10.1&r1=1.3&diff_format=u

But geki's patch is more correct because his patch includes fix for
SunInfo::getLibraryPaths(). In fact, I made the same mistake until very
recently. :-)

@Karthik:

Could you give us a clear advise:

Will the mails that have been sorted out be recovered and sent to the mailing
lists later on?

Or do we have to tell everybody on the lists to repost the mails not delivered?

If the second case is true: Are you able to generate a mail to all the lists
containing such an information or should we do that on our own?

Thanks in advance
Bernhard

I use OOo2.0.3rc4de.

I want to show the whole record in a list box, but link to the primary key.
Therefore I use a query as datasource, which has the concatenated record in the
first column and the primary key in the second record. I tried this versions
(1) with function CONCAT, parsed SQL
SELECT CONCAT( CONCAT( CONCAT( CONCAT( "ID", ' | ' ), "Lehrer" ), ' | ' ),
"Raum" ) AS "info", "ID" FROM "Klassen" "Klassen"
(2) with + , parsed SQL
SELECT "ID" + ( ' | ' ) + "Lehrer" + ( ' | ' ) + "Raum" AS "info", "ID" FROM
"Klassen" "Klassen"
(3) same as (2), native SQL

Version (2) doesn't show the "info" column in the listbox, although all three
queries show the same table, when you run them as query.
Try the forms in the attached testbase.

[bug seen on Linux, will try on Windows at work when I get time]

In a three columns documents, with a table of content built with option to use
two columns.
As long as the table of content can be kept in first column, all were right.
When document get longer and table of content must span to second column, each
time I update the document, data following table of content systematically shift
to third column (leaving a large blank).
Just inserting an empty line after table of content make this data go back at
right place.
As if the two columns layout of the table of content not being considered when
paginating to rebuild it.

You can see the document at URL:
http://www.limsi.fr/Individu/pointal/python/pqrc/versions/python2.4-quick-ref-card-V0.55.odt

Yes, I can see the problem now. It looks that it benefits from the fix in issue
65250 which will take place in OO 2.0.4. Development will have a closer look at
it tomorrow.

My last try for ustring.hxx: ;-)

inline std::ostream & operator<< ( std::ostream & rStream,
const ::rtl::OUString & rString )
{
rStream << rtl::OUStringToOString( rString,
RTL_TEXTENCODING_UTF8 ).getStr();
return rStream;
}

No macros, safe, ... & easy to use as well...

cout << "The string: " << aString << endl;

I use also a suse 9.3 and the office can load and edit the Impress documents
without any problems. In my mind it sounds like a broken installation.
Please remove the OOo version and install the latest version.
Please tell me if the lock up still occures.

Ah, cool, I did not know them, thanks! I extended
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Hacking#Can_I_get_a_char_.2A.2C_please.3F

Wrt. the macro - well, I know that in this issue I've probably written more
letters than I'd save in 10 debug sessions ;-) - it just always makes me so
angry to write the mantra again and again... If you had an idea how to do it
nicely, I'd appreciate it :-) - but of course, I can live without it in the
end, or have it just in ooo-build.
