[sw-issues] [Issue 67152] Single quotation following double quotation mark turned wrong way.
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=67152 Issue #|67152 Summary|Single quotation following double quotation mark turne |d wrong way. Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.0.3 Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|All Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|formatting Assigned to|mru Reported by|trajj --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jul 8 18:42:47 -0700 2006 --- When using "stylized" quotation marks (those that match the font being used), a single quotation mark following a double quotation mark is turned the wrong way. OpenOffice.org treats the single quotation mark as though it is the end of the quotation rather than the beginning. This is probably only a problem when a quotation contains a quotation. I couldn't find a good example of what I'm talking about, so I made up one. "'This produces an undesirable result,' said trajj." The first single quotaton mark and the second one would be the "ending" quotation marks in a sentence like the one above, rather than the first one being a beginning quotation mark and the second one an ending quotation mark. I hope this makes sense. Try as I might, I'm not good at explaining things like this. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [sw-issues] [Issue 67150] simple mistakes in saving as web page

I save as HTML, then open the HTML again with OOWriter and view its source code. Then I do the following substitutuions to the code with (CONTROL+F): to (nothing) to to (nothing) [tabulations] to CELLPAD=4 to CELLPAD=1 Basically I always need to manually correct all the line spacing, recover the tabular spaces, vital in content menus and I also need to make the tables have decent cell sizes. I spend lots of time whenever I do a new version of my document and I convert it to HTML to share it with the world because HTML saving has simple but very annoying conversion mistakes. And as I say usually these are educational pages, and so I find it very sad that thousands of people like me waste so much time when it comse to propagate knowledge. I also notice that formulas are very badly converted to GIF images. The conversion is so bad that the formulas get wrong! complete symbols might dissapear. Anyway, this is all constructive criticism. I love the idea of OpenOffice, so good luck lads! Thank you for the atention. Lucas - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Occurs on: 2.0.3-2 Debian build on Linux 2.0.169 native build on Windows 98 Cannot check now, but didn't notice this to happen on 2.0.1-5 Debian build. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open new text document. ("Default" page style: "Right and left" page layout) 2. Create 2 or 4 pages: "Insert-> Manual break-> page break", style "none" or "default" (i.e. the same). 3. Modify "Default" style: Header" tab: a) Check "Header on". b) Uncheck "Same content left/right". c) Uncheck "AutoFit height". d) Set "Height" to "0.10 cm". e) Click "OK" - all headers are resized. 6. Now modify "Default" page style again: change header height to e.g. 1 cm, and click OK. - only odd (right) page headers are resized, and even (left) page headers are unchanged. Expected: all page headers are resized. 7. Save and close the document. 8. Open it again: all headers are resized, as expected. Steps 6-8 may be repeated again with the same result. This also applies to: Footer height Header spacing Footer spacing. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. They can replace other shortcuts freeing the control key for typing accented characters, which is the easiest key combination to use, as it exists on both sides of the keyboard. Typing codepoints into a dialogue requires more keystrokes and one needs to remember the numbers. This is a very inefficient way to type foreign characters. In Opera I can type āīūḍḷṃṇṭ very easily with the control key. If I need to use Alt for typing or other functions I can — no problem — alt m = m-dash, since control m is already used to type ṃ (m dot below). For a word-processor, the current limit of control and control shift is too limited. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. You highlight the word (or words) you want to be in a different language and then change them. You cannot change the keyboard 'on the fly' without changing the language for the entire document (that is as of Office 2000.) This is the procedure outlined in Issue 1035 and that is the 'fix' for this problem. I feel that this is a limitation of the Operating System and not a limitation of OpenOffice.org James M. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. When I copy text plus pictures/frames etc. OO requires connection to the internet If I deny access to the internet as the content is already copied by Ctrl-C to the clipboard, the copy takes several minutes, looks like being hang. As user do not like uncontrolled internet access, the paste-function should work without it. Lock firewall for OO and try to load www.hamburg-ballooning.de/sonnenkraftwerke.odt and deny internet access when opening the file. result after some time is "not responding" for a long time, before it continues ( may be 5 minutes ) and also "hangs" another open odt-file for the same time thanks Bernhard - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
