[graphics-issues] [Issue 70828] font history not working i n Impress
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=70828 Issue #|70828 Summary|font history not working in Impress Component|Presentation Version|OOo 2.0.4 Platform|PC URL| OS/Version|Windows XP Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P3 Subcomponent|formatting Assigned to|wg Reported by|bob_treder --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 24 23:53:52 -0700 2006 --- The font history in the font list on the main tool bar of Impress does not work and has not for many releases. It seemed to work better (by recall) in an earlier version (1.x.x). It's not hard to reproduce. Just create a slide with some text on it, highlight a portion of the text and change the font. Now type some more on the slide, add another bullet, etc. Now go to the font list. You probably won't see a history. If you just do highlighting without adding more text to the slide, the history seems to hold. But as soon as you start adding text, new slides, etc., the history is lost. Would be nice to have this working. I'm currently using Impress alot!!! - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Location of files: http://www.riverland.net.au/~clytie/OpenOffice/GSI_vi.sdf.bz2 This is our initial translation of the OOo interface. It was complete, but we have had to leave out 200 strings because of errors in the original text which would not pass GSIcheck. We hope to resolve those in time. Pavel also has this URL for regular builds. This is our very first release, so I hope we are doing things correctly. It is very exciting for us, and very important to our community. I only found out about the JCA a couple of days ago, so I filled it in, scanned it and emailed it to SUN. I hope they have it in time. If you can't accept this because they haven't processed that form, please contact me. We will find someone who can submit this instead. I don't know if it may replace the official label - therefore you should send a mail to art@marketing.openoffice.org telling why it should be changed, but it might be integrated as additional artwork. I'm not quite sure if a resolution of 300x200 pixel would be enough for high quality printing. This could be a direct link to OpenOffice.org 2 as this gradient is used quite often for official artwork. - What about using a different font for the slogan (Bitstream Vera Sans - condensed to 78% is quite comparable to the logo font)? - The logo should be integrated in better resolution (probably best solution: use the vector format). - Did you think of a different back side slogan? I think such a door knob tells the people outside the room if they are allowed to enter or not. Your proposal doesn't make such a difference. I don't have a good idea for a back side slogan in the moment, but if you ask for ideas on art@marketing.openoffice.org, we should find something together... My personal opinion is that there are some places a gradient is not really good to be distinguished, but your proposal doesn't reduce readability by becoming too bright. So I might be a good idea to discuss it again on the list. You didn't use the condensed font to keep near to the present logo font, perhaps this might be a possibility to improve the proposal. About the rounded rectangle making the logo look like a button: It reduces the possibility to use the logo in special surroundings (adding the positioner, integrating in artwork), so I don't want to integrate the border in the main logo. As web button it is a good idea and there it should be used IMHO. Thanks - and keep on working :-) Bernhard - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. On dev@marketing.openoffice.org there has been a voting for an official positioner at the end of last year and this positioner was elected by a large majority of the voters. I kept this issue open because this logo has not been integrated in the galleries by now (I didn't take the time by now). If you don't mind I'd like to keep discussions on the mailing list art@marketing.openoffice.org, so more people can take part in the discussion. Thanks for your contribution. I'm not sure whether this means that this is not actually a bug, or whether the workaround is so obscure and unintuitive that it needs to be fixed anyway. To get the index columns properly ordered from right to left, what I need to do is go to Format -> Page and choose Text Direction -> Right To Left! It appears that this setting does absolutely nothing except exactly what I need - switch the column order in the index (and I guess, in other places as well). After you make this change, you need to Update the index and everything then looks fine. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [ui-issues] [Issue 69691] double-clicking OOo files in Windows Explorer does not open them
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=69691 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 24 11:43:03 -0700 2006 --- I can reproduce this defect with MS Windows 98 when I double-click on an URL as: \\serveur\D\alain\mon-fichier.odt. But the cause is perhaps different because an error message is issued. The error message of this french version is that the directory \\serveur\D\alain\alain\mon-fichier.odt does not exist. Note the wrong path with repeated "alain". With all the others programs, the double click works fine on this URL. Also, the settings in the registry base for the double-click (extensions options for .odt) are correct. So the problem is from OOo. It does not exist in OOo 1.1.5 and, I beleive, not in 2.0.2 (not sure for 2.0.2). Opening this same URL by the File menu of OOo works fine. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The calendar is loaded, it is Arabic hijri calendar in this case. The problem is the case set MONTH to 37 first, which makes the calendar invalid. During calculation for hijri calendar, other fields, like day, year, are also re-calculated, and may contain invalid values, just resetting MONTH to 10 in next statement may not make the calendar valid. The calendar should be recovered between two test statements. public void _isValid() { boolean res = true; oObj.setValue(CalendarFieldIndex.MONTH, (short) 37); res &= !oObj.isValid(); new=> oObj.setDateTime(aOriginalDTime); oObj.setValue(CalendarFieldIndex.MONTH, (short) 10); res &= oObj.isValid(); tRes.tested("isValid()", res); } - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=70816 Issue #|70816 Summary|Table cell format lost on second body row forward and |last column from RTF import Component|Word processor Version|OOo 2.0.2 Platform|All URL| OS/Version|Windows XP Status|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard| Keywords| Resolution| Issue type|DEFECT Priority|P2 Subcomponent|open-import Assigned to|mru Reported by|sherter --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 24 09:45:11 -0700 2006 --- An RTF document generated in Microsoft Word 2003 with a table in it will lose the formatting on the last line of text in the cell from the second body row to the end of the table in the last column. If you have four columns then the fourth column from the second body row to the end of the table will lose the formatting. If you have no header it will be the second row to the end. If you have one header row then the third row to the bottom will lose the formatting. This also happens if you have bullet points in the table cell. The work around (not very good and client doesn't want to implement it) is to put an extra paragraph mark (carriage return/line feed) at the end of the text for the cell. This will cause the bullet point/formatting to remain. Importing the .DOC file works correctly so it appears to be a problem in the RTF import filter. I will attach a zip file containing two .DOC and two .RTF files. One will have a table with one header row and three body rows with four columns. All text is centered. The second will have four rows with no header row and four columns. All text is centered in the table cells. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 70619] Incorrect printing from OO o Draw
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=70619 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Oct 24 09:36:12 -0700 2006 --- af: hm...milestone OOo2.2...that's really perfect But what can I do till this time (btw: what is the release date of OOo 2.2)? I'm (and anybody is) not able to correctly print any document from Draw - I can say the Draw is the most important part of OOo for me... Downgrade to 2.0.3 (or something similar) isn't the best solution, in my opinion Sorry, but such stupid bug really isn't the best advertisement for OOo. Especially in this time, when the ODF format starts using in various institutions etc. My recommendations for my friends like "Why don't you switch to OOo?" etc. will appear like a strange joke... - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. So in OOo ooSetupVersion is always complete version number with major, minor and patch (2.0.4 or 2.1 or 3.0.1...) . For SO it includes only the major number and the we added the patchlevel from version.ini. @cloph: sorry nobody wanted to kid you, but mh told me that your patch didn't work, at least for SO. So the new fix works for OOo and SO. And it will work for further versions. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. You can't type anything - press the "Save" button in the toolbar - File save dialog comes up, enter name and save - Now you are able to modify, do it - press save button again => crash Depending on how it is defined: If I import library as readonly, should save button be enabled? If yes, then it shouldn't crash after I created the local copy and save again. hint to QA: remeber to check issue 60874, again after fixing. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
