To ensure both were of the same version (there are some minor tweaks in the pptx, such as font size in places), I exported the pptx from Office 2007 as a ppt. Now it displays much better, ie the numbering almost works, except for it starting at 2. I don't know if this is a MS bug fix in the Office 2007 export filter. An updated screenshot attachment to follow. Other noticeable differences: Character spacing in the title not imported (set at 3px in original). Curiously, another page with numbering displays correctly (apart from gradient). Tested with OOo 3.0 beta 2
As per the previous version, if I manually override the speed setting with a
value in seconds, the animation honours it, however the value is not displayed
in the speed box and it is replaced with one of the 4 default values
{slow=2.5s?, medium=2s?, fast=1s?, very fast=0.5s} when the hard coded internal
value for the setting is entered.
Also, I cannot seem to be able to change the speed of animations that start
simultaneously.
Summary: the RFE is still valid.

This I did, since as a user of an office suite, I appreciate it very much if I can perform standard tasks, which can be done in all applications (like formatting of text), in the same way in all the applications. If a shortcut for such a task is available only in one of them or different in an other application, I will not use them but stick to the way of doing it which is the same for all application. Therefore, a question back: Should this issue be closed and a new one opened which is concerned with the wish to have consistent menue entries and shortcuts in all applications of the openoffice-suite? I have waited for every new OO for these features to be added to no avail. OO only accept full values which limmits its functionality greatly. Example: 1 AMD 4200+ CPU 2 AMD 4400+ CPU 3 Intel 8400e CPU 4 AMD 5600+ CPU 5 1G DDR2 Memory Filter Contains AMD: only lists 1,2,4 or does not contain Intel lists the same, or does not End with CPU lists 5 etc. Can not do with OO filter unfortunately. I find it quite strange that nobody else misses these options. This is one of the main reasons I still need to use Excel. I cannot even give a OO pricelist on my webpage because of this. (www.faithful.co.za) I use it to create Menus on my pricelists. I own Computer Shops. I do reccomend OO, but use Excel myself. I always need to explain to my customers why that is, a bit emabarrasing. Otherwise I think you guys are doing great. Cannot wait for vba to work propperly. I use it extensively. The vba is progressing nicely, but still needs a lot of work before it is Excel compatible.
