The original problem was with 2.4.0 on Windows XP. It also shows up on my home system which is Debian sid, OOo version 1:2.4.0-6 update r12409 (built 1st May 2008). Attached file displays as two single height rows (as per attached pdf which was exported before re-opening). When you save and re-open the file the first row has become double height. If you edit cell A1, for example delete the final 'c' and type it in again, it will return to a single height line until you save and reload when it will go back to double height. Testing the two examples that I submitted, I still cannot select the whole chart and copy or move to a different location or even resize. There is no way to pic a box that encapsulates or groups all the elements into a single entity for moving or copying. This is using OOo 2.3 - Linux F8 rpm. I can select each individual item and move those. I can use a drag box to select most items and capture those to move. But there is no way that I can get all items into the same drag box. I cannot capture the text this way. If you take example one and using the mouse, click on the left button and select all the times that you can. You now end up with a larger selection box, even though it is over the text, resize the box and the text will remain in its own location and size. Selection of the text is not happening with the mouse when trying to capture all the items related to the chart.
