I think this problem come from the different habits between Linux and Windows. Press and release Alt to trigger File Menu is common on Windows, but it is not common for most applications on Linux. For example (on Linux): Firefox -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened Thunderbird -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened Leafpad -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened File roller -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened Gcalctool -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened Gimp -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened Pidgin -- Press and release Alt -- Nothing happened So when using above Linux applications, I can press Alt anytime to prepare to do something (e.g.: press Alt+Down to move to next workspace ), if I give up to press Down and release Alt, nothing will happen, it's good! But when I use Openoffice.org, that will trigger the File Menu to bother me, so I don't want this function. It should not come form special distro build. At least, I use this function both on Linux or Windows. I tried to find the old Openoffice.org version to show you this function, but I cannot find any tarball earlier than 2.4.X now. Only version 2.0.1 for windows can I found on oldapp.com [1]. I tried it and I am sure version 2.0.1 has this function exactly. I found someone reported this feature as a problem on windows XP in issue 58532 [2]. However, I still think this is a pretty good feature, I can move the cursor to best position on screen and find the cursor site quickly through it. I wish this could be a customizable option, allowing users to enable it. Enumeration names TT_{...} are used in sw/sourcw/ui/docvw/srcedtw.cxx for enum
SwHtmlTextType.
In the meantime, enumeration names TT_{...} are also used in
svtools/inc/svtools/syntaxhighlight.hxx from m37. Actually they have been
residing in basic/inc/basic/hilight.hxx until m36 and moved to
svtools/inc/svtools/syntaxhighlight.hxx that is also used in sw module and
included in precompiled_sw.hxx.
So if a builder attempts to enable precompiled header, he will face name
conflicts in TT_UNKNOWN and TT_COMMENT.
If he does not enable precompiled header, the build is OK but I think such
collision of names should be avoided anyway.
The following patch changes the prefices TT_ to SWTT_ in
sw/sourcw/ui/docvw/srcedtw.cxx so as to remedy the issue.
