The origin *.ppt and *.pptx files which produces this problem (high CPU/RAM) have transparent objects inside it's content. I wanted to edit the graph by creating a 'hashed' part so I added in a drawing object. I changed the drawing object properties to be hashed (using the toolbar that appears and the drop down boxes in the centre where you can choose colour and stuff) and the correct colour and it looked great. But when I opened the document this afternoon the characteristics of the pasted over drawing object were changed. Undo is not accessible: Ctrl-Z won't bring the original colors back. 6) If you click outside the table, undo is available : Ctrl+Z brings the original colors. In Step 5), if you type some text, undo is accessible, but only in the context of text editing in this cell. When you leave this mode, the final result is considered as one step in the original undo.
