HOW DOES ONE ATTACH A DOCUMENT WHEN IN THE 'ENTER ISSUE' SCREEN? Using version 2.01. Had same problem with version 2.00 Table of Contents when inserted corrupts document. Extra pages are added. Suspect it has something to do with pictures that were placed in document. Use the attached file and insert a Table of Contents on page 2 of the document. Notice the page numbers and how the document has changed. It might be of help to use the Edit menu to observe what Undo message is displayed. Using the Delete button at the last line of where the problem occurs corrects the document. But the page numbers in the Table of Contents have to be manually corrected. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Trying to change a page style on any page only causes the first page to have its style change. I followed the directions below. I am using OpenOffice 2 on Windows XP Home Edition. To apply a page style: 1.Click in the page that you want to apply the page style to. 2.Choose Format - Styles and Formatting, and then click the Page Style icon. 3.Double-click a name in the list. When I try to change a page style on a page in a document, only the very first page changes it's page style. Not the actual page in the document. I know that OpenOffice 2 can use chapter heading. But what about something with more finer control. Such as using the cross-reference as a tag. The purpose is to use Writer to create a help file for a software program using the F1 help key. Below is request that was on the forum. I have the same requirement. Thanks, Al Winter Hi there. I currently looking for a help solution for our company's applications. Until now we have the help has consisted of a pdf document being opened when the user presses F1. We would like to extend this a little bit further by inserting bookmarks into the document which the user can be directed to in some given application context. I am aware of OO2 capability in supporting epdf and the fact that headings can be transformed to bookmarks in the pdf document, but these are diffucult to use as navigationpoints as text differs from language to language. What I need is the ability to create OO bookmarks (or anchors) that are languageindependent jumpcodes, thus "CHAP_PIZZA_ORDERING". Can this be done ? [sw-issues] [Issue 54974] Table of Contents - Have TOC page numbers be the same as page the headi ngs are on.
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54974 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Sep 24 07:38:19 -0700 2005 --- Looked at http://user-faq.openoffice.org/new-faq/Writer/faqwriternumbering/. I understand how to change a page number on a field. In fact, that is what I did to change the page numbers in my manual. Table of contents page numbers uses actual page count, not the page number printed on the page where the referenced material is located. When there is a cover page followed by a blank page, (two sided page printing) the page number for a chapter in the table of contents is two pages higher than the page number printed on the page where the chapter begins. The pages in the index table are also off by the same number of pages. Result is the page numbers in table of contents or index table do not match the printed page number of where a chapter begins. Table of contents and index table pages should always match the page number of the page where the referenced material is located. Suggestion, Have two pages without page numbers(cover page) followed by a table of contents then the document. Does the table of contents page numbers match the page numbers in the document? They both should be the same. Thanks, Al Winter - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
