When you change the settings to something like -rw-rw-r-- and reload the document, the new file settings are not recognized, so it is still read-only. I would expect that reload fixes this, instead you have to close the document and reopen it. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Now go to a different paragraph and transfer the formatting. Result: Format gets transferred, but the element which was clicked (a word in that paragraph) gets marked in a different color as changed. I feel this is misleading: the whole paragraph should be marked as changed, but not a single word. Marking the paragraph could take place by a line at the side, but not with color for one or all words. Once you have selected the value A and go to the selection box in the top row, next to the values 'all', 'empty', 'non-empty' etc. only the value A is displayed, not B and C. So if you want to select B, you fist have to display all, and then select B. This is very inconvenient and should be fixed: all potential values should be visible if one value is chosen. So far OK - Creating an additional printer allows the option Fax or PDF - why not a 'normal' printer? - before OO 2.0, it was possible to reassign the 'generic printer' to kprinter --stdin. By this you have all available printer plus fax, PPDF and so on available. This option does not exist anymore (Except this undocumented SAL_DISABLE_CUPS) So, PLEASE, make an easily useable option to either setup a new printer for kprinter or to select the kprinter-dialog as default printer setting. It might be logical from a programmers point of view, but not from a user point of view. When I select 'All' in the autofilter it should work like a 'reset'. Means, when I next select 'A' it should take *all* rows into account. There is no reason to ommit the new ones. BTW, another well-known office package works exactly that way. So any user coming from this office package will state that OO 'does not work correctly'. IMHO, I dont think that this will increase OO's reputation. Please fix this bug. [framework-issues] [Issue 54586] Cannot open files via NFS on mis-configured Linux machines

If I just try to save a new(!) document on the nfs-sahre, I got the error message 'File test.odt does not exist'. followed by the general I/O error mentioned. I havent tried the workaround (disable: export SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING), but I feel that this should be fixed somehow to increase usability. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. [graphics-issues] [Issue 54120] OO hangs when opening lar ge (13,5MB) ppt
To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54120 --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 14 08:07:33 -0700 2005 --- Thanks for the response to this issue. In fact, after seeing your response times, I made a new approach with my 13.5MB .ppt: OO already opened beforehand, it 'hangs' for about 17 Minutes, sucking all CPU-power, then it continues and after about 19 minutes the slides were visible (on ThinkPad A30, 1 GHz P-III)...as stated by Pablo, this response time is not really satisfying. The fact that OO does not react (even not on the progress bar) gives the impression that it hangs, decreasing user confidentiality in this office alternative. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
