Component:|Chart Version:|OOo 2.0.2 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|All Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|ENHANCEMENT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|ui Assigned to:|iha Reported by:|pierreandre --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Apr 21 03:44:10 -0700 2006 --- Have a look at the attachment. By, now, when you select a series, you can bring it forward/backward (cf screenshot). This is ok. What could also be implemented is the ability in a diagram to arrange all the series at once following a given criteria. For exemple, all the series could be sorted by category name (alphabetically), by value... This could be inserted in the UI when in the Arrangement sub-menu. When a user - bring forward - bring backward - sort alphabetically - sort by value - special sort... The special sort could open a dialog and give to the user the choice in which to order the series. Some more complex examples : - sort the series given the mean of the sum of the series values. - sort the series given the max value of the series - ... This dialog could tak inspiration from the data pilot dialogs. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. Take the area normal diagram in the screenshot. If you look at the legend, you see that the series on the top is the series on the first layer (the neaest to the user). Now take the Line points only, and look at the legend. You see that the series on the top is the series drawn first (and covered by the other series), hence, it is the series on the last layer ! This behavior is inconsistent not only for the two diagram taken as an example. The bar chart should have three colors (purple, yellow, red). In my sheet, the legend shows 3 colors, but the diagram shows only 2. Also, the chart looks really strange... If you do not see this behaviour, have a look at the picture attached. How did I get the problem ? I created a doc with all sorts of graphs (the third file attached) and then I created the last diagram. For that diagram, I changed its type, and re-arranged the series several times. There the bug appeared ! If you change the type of the diagram, I think anything is correct again. For that bug, I have no way to reproduce it by now. On Windows 98, when using the dialog is to send a mail (file send Send document as email), things do seem to work. But when using this service SimpleSystemMail to do it, the problem reported above appears. On the source code, we found that OOo seems to send mails using this service in the following file : ./sfx2/source/dialog/mailmodel.cxx [...] Reference XSimpleMailClientSupplier xSimpleMailClientSupplier; // Prefer the SimpleSystemMail service if available xSimpleMailClientSupplier = Reference XSimpleMailClientSupplier ( xMgr-createInstance( OUString( RTL_CONSTASCII_USTRINGPARAM( com.sun.star.system.SimpleSystemMail ))), UNO_QUERY ); if ( ! xSimpleMailClientSupplier.is() ) { xSimpleMailClientSupplier = Reference XSimpleMailClientSupplier ( xMgr-createInstance( OUString( RTL_CONSTASCII_USTRINGPARAM( com.sun.star.system.SimpleCommandMail ))), UNO_QUERY ); } if ( xSimpleMailClientSupplier.is() ) { Reference XSimpleMailClient xSimpleMailClient = xSimpleMailClientSupplier-querySimpleMailClient(); if ( !xSimpleMailClient.is() ) { // no mail client support = message box! return SEND_MAIL_ERROR; } [...] So, it seems to us that the code stops there on the return SEND_MAIL_ERROR; line. [sw-issues] [Issue 59680] Word Export: background i mage stretched

This bug appears when you open documents exported in the doc format (word 97/2000/XP). the file background.sxw is the original document you have to export. The background_OOo2.0.doc is the file already exported. To see the bugs, you have to export it in the word format, and then open it with the differents versions of OOo and word. I only tryed word 2000 and word 2003. the results are just above. except from the fact that the background image is stretched in Word, the export is fine. Which version of Word did you used ? As stated, it worked fine with Word 2003, but not with Word 2000. Also OOo 2.0.1 opens background.sxw correctly: the background image is a background image and not an inserted image on page 1. In fact, the background.sxw file is opened nicely with all the OOo version, as it is the original file. But if you try to open th background_OOo2.0.doc, with OOo, you will notice the bugs. In fact, I suppose that this is a bug, as when you open the file, OOo is not able to import it correctly. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. In a complex table (where cells have been merged) it does not really make sense to generate a Chart from. [...] Now you should select the range of the table BEFORE you call Insert.Object.Chart. In fact, the behaviour is not so natural. Two ways should be doable : Way 1 : * insert object Chart * Select the upper-left 2 lines and 2 colummns. Way 2 : * Select the upper-left 2 lines and 2 colummns. * insert object Chart Why would the way 2 work and not the way 1 ? Thinking naturally, both should work ! Maybe the answer is that it is difficult to code ? I agree this is not a big issue, but it would improve the look-n-feel.
