Todd,

I think you just funded our retirement. Getting the audiophools to buy items
to compensate for house wiring. I knew there was a reason I liked you

Good to see you briefly at Near-Fest. You guys did a great Job!

I have not seen this personally, but I was told by a client that he had a
special line pulled from the pole, using some weird kind of wire. From
there he used even more weird wire (oxygen??? Something or other?) to a
single outlet (no doubt some special type, so he thinks) used exclusively
for his gazillion dollar audio system. Considering what I have seen
advertised on the web I am inclined to believe him. He got very touchy on
the subject when I asked what about the million miles of wire leading up to
his power pole outside! To each his own.

The fellow I take guitar lessons from told me that when he moved into his
latest house, he looked underneath and saw that some of the electrical was
wired with coax!! I don't know if the former owner was an audiophool or not.

Well, thank God for small favors and no price increase!!! However, if one
looks carefully, they will see a green dot on each receptacle. This means
they are hospital grade and may be used where oxygen is in use. I don't
think this justifies a that kind of price but as P.T. Barnum said, No one
ever went broke under-estimating the intelligence of the American
public...

But why does it matter whether or not they may be used where oxygen is in
use. I thought everything audiophools used was oxygen free.

I usually use Hospital Grade 20 A outlets in recording studio
installations and never ran into any gold plated but the isolated ground
and overall heavier construction

is far better than the cheap 15 A ones found at most electric depts.
Sure glad I picked up a 5 gallon bucket of military shelter pulls years
ago.

And I'd bet the government paid more for those back then than the
audiophools do to-day.
