Hi, I posted a newbie question here, and it never showed up. I guess it

If you don't have a forum for new users how are people supposed to adopt
Android? Did I just miss my post, or was it inappropriate? Also now I
can't find even a list of my own posts so that I can copy the text and
paste it into an identical question on Stack Overflow. Can you please tell
me at least where to find that?

Click on the drop-down menu on the top right of your post and select show
activity. This will show all your recent posts. From this I got the
following link to your older post:
https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!profile/android-developers/APn2wQdFlklT56G59LVThhAPUQB2jr_34clf54_Qni_ZA8KN9BuEyN-iyjtX7N9ppzO_dqpxTkuS/android-developers/zMqAWxrKjQo/8DBNYR51xaQJ

Sorry if I don't understand how forums work with Android but this is very
different and more inaccessible than iOS, I am considering cross-platform
 development.

 Thanks
 Bob

Hi Bob,

I am exactly in the same position. I also posted a question and it didn't
show up. Maybe it takes some time longer?

I have tried filtering by me, and looked through all the theads, but

Can someone help please?

Thank you

Your two posts are at these URLs:

https://groups.google.com/d/topic/android-developers/HpXVqMKGOLQ/discussion

https://groups.google.com/d/topic/android-developers/7Gs7q4yrnxU/discussion

How did you try filtering by me?

Sometimes searching for your e-mail address doesn't always work, I've found.

Thank you Bob, they are appearing now when I filter. Strange they didn't
earlier.

I go to Filters - All of these - Are my discussions

Hopefully I wont need moderating now, thanks again :)

2012-10-16 Thread Bob S
So is the fault ours or Google's? Did my post actually appear? I know
it's there now in the archives, but there aren't any replies. There are no
replies to Russ Taylor's messages either from what I see.

I guess what is happening is that these 'moderated' posts are eventually
allowed, but by the time it happens nobody sees them.

Can I repost the exact same question?

Unless the policy has changed, only your first post is moderated. Unless
it is spam, everything is allowed, but the moderation is done once every
couple of days or so, which results in 50-100 new posts, most of them
with dumb or pointless questions. It easy for your post to get lost among
those. Once you are in, posts will show up almost immediately.
