Hi,

I'd like to remain subscribed to Apertium-stuff, but I'm receiving three copies

I have tried unsubscribing, and subscribing again, but still getting triple
emails.
Could a mod fix this for me? Can't seem to sort it myself.

The problem is now resolved, I'm only receiving each email once.

If someone intervened to fix this, thank you.

Re: [Apertium-stuff] Formally deprecate lttoolbox-java?

2023-03-27 Thread Daniel Torregrosa
Hi all,

I developed this plugin some time ago:
https://github.com/transducens/apertium-cli-omegat

It just connects to a local apertium installation via CLI. However, it may
be out of date, both apertium and omegat-wise.

It is also quite barebones, as it has no extra features such as downloading
apertium packages, and requires to be configured for each translation task,
as I did not implement any mapping between omegat language codes and
apertium.

Let me know if this would be useful for any of you.

Regards,
Daniel

 Hi all,

I guess that the Apertium plugin for OmegaT is running internally
lttoolbox-java. I do no have information on the amount of people using this
plugin, but I guess there are some (me for example). How much time would it
cost to port the latter developments to Java?

2023-03-27 Thread Marc Riera Irigoyen
Hello,

For the sake of completeness, the Apertium plugin bundled in OmegaT added
support for custom API URL a couple of years ago. So it is possible to
interact with a local installation of Apertium via Apertium-Apy. It is not
as simple as apertium-omegat-native, but it may be enough for many people
before Linux support is available.

True, but it's not much work to make it run on Linux. Just have to call
gksudo instead of downloading 7z files.

Since it seems OmegaT is important to people, I'll commit to ensuring
omegat-native works on the same platforms that the nightly builds target,
before marking lttoolbox-java as deprecated.
