Hi ! i agree with u very much..infact that song to me is the best duet from arr...i alwayz checked for this song in the recent "most underrated arr song" debate in our group. i am surprised not many have included this one in the list for it has to be among the first ones to be included. hope u havent seen the picturisation of the song. the picturisation of the song was (to me) apt, but the full song was not picturised. the film "paarthaale paravasam" starts with this song but the film was such a huge letdown. the audio did not do well mainly bcoz it was released a week or so before the film's release.Dasun Abeysekera <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Azhage Sugamaman, that is one of the most romantic songs I've ever heard. By Manissha Despaande, IANS Mumbai, Sep 17 (IANS) Fans of actor Aamir Khan, who waited four years to catch a glimpse of him in "Mangal Pandey - The Rising", may see his next film "Rang De Basanti" this year itself. The buzz is that UTV has tentatively confirmed Dec 16 as release date of the Rs.300 million film, reports Bollywood Trade. "It is true that Dec 16 is one of the release dates being considered for the film, but we are yet to get a confirmation on this," said Sanjeev Mehta, vice-president (distribution) of UTV Pictures. Aamir had stated in an interview that he would now have a release every eight months with "Rang De Basanti" followed by Yash Raj Enterprises' "Fanaah" directed by Kunal Kohli, which is scheduled to begin shooting in October and will be released next year. The "Rang De Basanti" cast includes Soha Ali Khan, Alice Payton, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri and Waheeda Rehman. Aamir sports a clean-shaven look in the film, completely different from the handlebar moustache and cascading tresses that defined his personality in "Mangal Pandey". Designers reportedly experimented for nine months before they arrived at the longish haircut and clean-cut new look for Aamir. Ah Aah (U/A) Cast: S J Surya, Nila, M N Nambiar, Santhana Bharati, Urvasi Direction: S J Surya Surya is a clever man. He knows he is going to churn out a trash. So he creates some controversises - first he calls the the film B F and explains that it is not 'Blue Film' but 'Best Friend.' Then when forced to change the title, he invites the cinegoers to choose it and offers to pay Rs 1 lakh for the one who gives the best title. Then, he gets ivolved in a row with a lady censor board member and abuses her. The lady happens to be a lawyer and he lands in court. He had managed to keep himself in the limelight throughout the making of his new film Ah Aah - it stands for Anbey, Aruyire - which turns out to be a damp squib. This must also be one of the forgettable projects for A R Rahman, even he cannot save the film. Surya plays the lead role and heroine Nila makes her debut. She is probably the only saving grace, she is pretty and acts without any inhibition. They share a `live in relationship and stay in a middle class apartment. Their parents oppose the affair. He is a press reporter and she is a partner in a hotel business. Both want to earn lot of money before getting married. He takes on a powerful chairman of a college and exposes his nefarious activities. There are a couple of fights in which computer graphics help to show him as a super hero. Differences crop up when Surya suspects Nila of having an affair with her partner They fight and separate. It is here the movie takes a weird turn. Enter two more characters - they are none other than `memories of the hero and heroine, in blue costumes. Their job; to keep reminding the estranged lovers of the good times spent together. Suryah plays to the gallery--his main focus is definitely to titillate the audience - through liberal dose of double entendre, close-ups of the anatomy of the heroine, and vulgar dance movements. It may appeal to the front benchers only. If he continues to make movies, Surya will figure promienly among the directors taking the Tamil cinema to abysmal depths. hi all, Yesterday,after the grp meeting at Woodys,i had been to a concert featuring Taufiq Qureshi(percussion),Niladri Kumar (sitar),Roopak Kulkarni(flute),Jayachandra Rao(mridangam),Satyajit Talwalkar(Tabla) and Louis Banks(keyboard)..As i am very close to Taufiq ji,and knw him in person,he askd me to sit with him and the others prior to the cncrt..Suddenly Taufiq ji said that singer Abhijit had remarked that Rahman has become monotonous and a flop musician.. There was pin drop silence..then each person said that RAHMAN is the gr8st musician alive in India and its sad that a singer like Abhijit had said such a thing about the maestro.. I felt on top of the world..FORTUNATELY ROOPA had given me posters of the Concert,which i showed to them and i briefed them about our group as well.. They were very impressed... hi people, i attended the sydney concert of rahman, great one with a few setbacks abt his performances. he forgot the lyrics ffor Vande Matram (OMG !!!), dilse re (he just sang it for the heck of it , no enthu), mustafa (good). he sang the song composed for poverty and stuff, brilliant one, with blaazE, great music and tune etc all in all a good concert and most importantly it was for a cause. c ya mike Yahoo!
