Yes

101% sure.  I bought it here in Brunei.  both DVD and OST are released
here. OST is on Lakeshore Records LLC.

In some sites, there is an indication about a german import cd, dont
know if that cd has bombay theme or not.  i doubt.

The emotional power of Rahman's music once again shines.  This song is 
extremely uplifting.as if a veil is removed from one's face and 
light is seen.  Love the ethnic folk flavor of this song of the 
celebration of Holi.of colors.  I so much appreciate how Rahman has 
added the violin touches in the background to accentuate the feelings 
of purity, joy, spirit.  The beats are extremely catchy and the singing 
is just top notch.  Wish more of the Indian public could hear this 
song...it would be a chartbuster for sure. 

The flip song of that soundtrack is Piya Ho.intense, 
somber..poignant...communicating pain.but equally as powerful in a 
different emotion.

Hi everyone,The release of Rang De Basanti has been postponed to 25th January. Consequently, we can no longer keep the date on the 21st. I think 26th is the most ideal date for a group viewing since its the day after the release and a holiday. Any later and the fun and freshness is lost as there are bound to be a flood of reviews and opinions, both, in the media and word-of-mouth. ya guyz its real. not just songs look at
telesereials.but the most bad thing is that they dont
see the seen. war music is put when the characters
either eating or having simple chat.even the cam keeps
moving as if in a thriller movie. i wonder why. its
such aeasy job now to compose for serial bgm . no
logic required no lifting.

[arr] ARR should do more romantic Soundtracks

I feel there is a lack in  this the genre of songs from ARR. Songs 
like KKS, ESK, Alaypayuthey..Dont u all realise there is a saturation 
of fast trashy songs in Tamil film music after that Gemini O podu 
nonsense started? We had Manmathata rasa, Dhool, Ghilli, and other 
trash coming out in huge numbers..If ARR were do the same then it 
would not really stand outLook at some of ARRs songs ahdreing to 
this trend like AAh AHH and NEW. the songs weere hot for a while but 
after some time they died down fast...no body is remembering NEW or 
AHH AHH for everlasting quality the same way  as Uyiire song from 
Bombay, Ennavale from Khadhalan and Sneghithane from Alaypayuthey. ARR 
everlasting classics..I feel ARR should at the moment concentrate on 
Melodious love themed soundtracks to catch attention.

I think, someone getting close to arr is not really a big thing. 
rather, we should be happy that someone is atleast maintaining the
quality in music.  I havent heard any of ysr songs, but i am told they
are good.

as long as he does not bad-mouth or show off attitude towards others
like anumalik and ismail darbar, he will always find success and
support from the music lovers.  and thats what we all want.

The original tamil movie Gentleman was by Shankar and had Arjun and music was by ARR. The movie was remade in hindi by Mahesh Bhatt with Chiranjeevi.Anu Malik did the music ,he composed two songs of his own and three songs from shanker's movie were dubbed,one of which was Roop Suhana sung by SP Bala who sung the tamil version 
also.And ARR was credited in the opening titles of the hindi version.

  I think Shantanu Moitra is composing some neat music.Yeah the songs sound similar in certain areas.But he himself had said that he is inspired by ARR and Salil ji a lot.but the songs in yahaan are definetly fresh.

whenever i used to think abt my home , my dearest

Much depended on the film's success for Surya, shot in a whopping budget. The making took a longer time and it was speculation time for the media to hazard a guess on the success. Ultimately, it boiled down to the audience verdict which put up the thumbs up sign. Going by the exacting standards he set in Ghajini, the pressure told on Surya in Aaru. Though he put in his best efforts, commercially it could not create the magic of Ghajini. Now, back in his familiar territory is Surya in Jillendru Oru Kathal with Jyothika and Bhumika as his love interest. With A R Rahman as music composer, the love sublime has the added sheen. Presently rated on a par with Vijay and Vikram, Surya's home production - his cousin Gnanavel is the producer - has evinced interest and curiosity in the industry. The chemistry between Surya and Jyothika was the high point in Kaakha Kaakha. That the two joining hands again should augur well for the film's success. Bhumika has filled in the shoes of Asin, who turned down the project, unsure of the footage as the second heroine. After the way Surya and Asin hit it off in Ghajini, the industry had touted them as the hottest pair on screen. It would have been a test of their abilities to have recreated the magic again. But it was not to be and Asin's miss has turned out to be profitable for Bhumika. The Roja Kootam girl pounced on the offering and did not mind one bit to play second fiddle to Jyothika. Jillendru Oru Kadhal is to be directed by Krishna, an associate of Goutham Menon in Minnale and Gharshana. The latter was the remake of Kaakha Kaakha. - NT BureauRegards,Shah Navas

Im sure everyone knows about our Rahman's first malayalam 
movie 'YODHA'. It has some excellent music, some kind of music that 
the malayalam industry had never experienced and havent yet. 

What i need is the BGM scores for this movie. Some excellent stuff. 
Pls anyone has it.

Hey Krishna,
I guess A R Rahmans Sir's Yeh Jo Des hai is in high pitch 
compared to the song of Yuvan but still both did good job in their 
songs. But, when you compare in terms of music, I loved Yeh Jo des 
hai..it has the real feel, depth and the maturity in voice. Yuvan sang 
like a 20th generation boy (which A R Rahman Sir did at the time of 
BOMBAY) but in A R Rahman's Yeh Jo Des Hai - His soul is singing for 
the country. I personally had this impression.

Yes, It is mentioned lot of times in this group before. The MD is 
Shantanu Moitra who is following ARR's footsteps by giving music to 
Yahan, Parineeta etc. Like ARR he was also composing Ad jingles 
before. But he has lost his originality in some songs like 'Kaisi 
paheli' (parineeta) which is copied from a english song. And he is 
copying ARR's music too.

Here is a new info regarding "tu bin bataye" from RDB. Madhushri conveyed the incident in an interview in Star Anand ---a bengali news channel. She told that during recoring of RDB she was at Chennai for another assignment, and Rahman asked her to record her voice with a music piece for his music bank. Rahman aslo told that this piece he received in his dream. That time Rakesh was there and listened to the tune, and asked Rahman to use that song in RDB. Rahman laughed and told that there is no romantic scene in RDB, then Rakesh told that he will be creating a scene for that beautiful song. Then Prasun worte the lyrics and sent it through FAX---then Tu bin bataye is created.
