Hi all, Since few days am seeing that some regional composers (like Yuvan/Harris) are being compared with Rahman. Outside some regional boundaries nobody knows these composers... nobody offered them a single proposal to show their ability... we also never heard them for that reason... if they are really so good to be compared with Rahman, the people outside that region should recognize them, as they recognize Rhaman. So whom nobody recognizes as composers outside some limited boundaries why they are being compared with India's most versatile/complete/most talented music maker??? I never found in a John William fan club forum where the fans are talking like Rahman next William this is really unexpected... Arijit

Leaving that trivia apart, what makes this award extra special is the mighty competition for Roja that year - Rudaali (Bhupen Hazarika), Sargam (Ravi Bombay), Thevar Magan (Ilayaraja). And for a debutant 26 yr old to win that year speaks volumes for the path breaking and revolutionizing music of Roja. Dilli times for Sonam Debutante Sonam Kapoor will star in Rakeysh Mehra's Dilli 6 Sonam Kapoor From what we hear, Saawariya girl Sonam Kapoor has signed Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6. The director has been in news recently for having changed the male lead of Dilli 6 seven times. If the same doesn't repeat, Sonam will star opposite Abhishek Bachchan in this film. Sonam has been heard saying that she has a mindblowing offer in hand. A source informs, Sonam Kapoor has been finalised to play the lead role in Rakeysh Mehra's film Dilli 6. Earlier, Mehra was very keen to sign Kareena Kapoor and Soha Ali Khan for the role but the moment he signed Abhishek, he dropped the idea of signing Kareena altogther. After Saawariya trailers hit the small screen, Sonam bagged the role. Sonal is also pretty excited about working with Mehra and Abhishek Bachchan. The film will go on the floors in the second week of December in Delhi. Rakeysh Mehra Mehra had a tough time finalising the male lead for Dilli 6 and changed the male lead of his film seven times. The actors considered for the film include Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Siddarth, Imran Khan (Aamir Khan's nephew) and even a newcomer.
