The song was equally favorite among my younger brothers/sisters as well (I used to play while driving car) and was actually our most favorite (along with Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah and Khwaja Mere Khwaja) for a long time after the album released (though none of us could understand more than 30% of the song because of its very Hindi lyrics). The only thing we could have wished was that it had some understandable lyrics rather than the pure Hindi. He loved the tracks and asked more details about our group. I thanked him for his appreciation and support. //forgot.erase.period.// four years later one september morning I recieve a mail from the same guy asking if I was interested in scoring music for his period film. //refresh.rewind. play.// With arms open I accepted the offer only to realize later that the guy was the Assistant Director of GURU and one of Mani Ratnams aides. The humble and modest Bejoy Nambiar. Alongwith my close friend Krishnan, I scored music for this film Rahu. We completed the soundtrack in 5 months starting December 2007. It was the most challenging project we have ever done, though we guided all through by Bejoy, who loves to experiment and has a great taste for music. The soundtrack features a Sufi Song Betaabi featuring Murtuza Mustafa and Qadir Mustafa, sons of the legendary Ustaad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saab who have previously sung NOOR-UN-ALA-NOOR from Meenaxi, Tere Bina from Guru, Maula from Mangal Pandey for A.R.Rahman. arrrahmanfans.com has been a great channel through which we got connected, and created some mind blowing music. I go mad about ice cream and curd rice he spurts almost like an innocent 16 year old boy. He asserts that the day music becomes a chore for him. Everything will come to an end. Fortunately my work never stagnates because I get to work with some of the best from the industry for whom experimenting and taking up challenges are a part of their game. But like all of us he needs time off work too. At times when I want to unwind I need to detach myself from all of it. The problem is that I find music even in silence ! I go to dargah or the roof top of my house in Chennai and spend a couple of hours alone. Interestingly , he also loves spending time at his second home in England. That includes playing role of a husband and that of a father. My wife loves my chopped tresses and so I am not growing it back. And my kids, they are all insomniacs like me. They don't sleep till one in the morning and wake up very early the Maestro adds. Just from the teasers, I can tell this is going to be one special soundtrack for many reasons. First of all, the audio quality is very poor in the teasers so don't expect to hear all the bells and whistles clearly or the Rahman sound immediately. But, I am very very pleased to guess that the arrangements appear to be without a lot of noise factor and quite intricate with lots of delicate sound. Just from the snippets, I feel this album has tremendous musical variety, soul stirring melodies, great singing, wide range of sounds, innovative musical concepts, and last but not least, ARR magic that cannot be explained! I don't expect all of us to like all the songs, but I do predict that this CD will be in heavy rotation for many, many months to come. I am so happy that ARR has decided to use the Waltz beat in Ishq Ada both versions and Dard Hai. Fantastic old world charm! I don't remember the last time ARR used a Waltz beat in a singing track! What an infectious and catchy rhythm in Gum Sum.probably the one with the highest chart climbing potential. Meherbaan..man, what a soothing soulful number this will be with our Boss's voice! A wonderful smooth jazzy number that will ooze over you. But, I think my favorite will be Milo Wahan Wahan..haunting haunting haunting!! MAN! WILL THE ALBUM RELEASE ALREADY? I CAN'T WAIT ANY MORE!!!

Ada's audio luanch was back in late April and possibly, the actual CD will be out on the 20th, but that's still a big question. I fear that Jaane Tu's music will not reach our ears until a week or two from now at the earliest since only the launch is happening on the 20th.

wow! I am curious about the overall melody of Milo Wahan.. I found that BGM in Kannathil Muthamittal one of the most gripping of the movie.. a real Mani-ARR combo tune, one of the best, such as the Iruvar theme... and now ARR's made a song that reminds sharply of that tune.. Hey guys, I decided to try to rip one of my favourite BGMs ever! This is from the climax of kannathil muthamitaal. It came out very nicely! I encoded it into flac for size reduction. But even still, the size is very big! (6mb/minute) One thing to notice is that although the size is reduced, the quality is LOSSLESS just like wav. Absolutely no loss. Eventhough the size is big, I promise you, its 10 minutes of absolute bliss. And it is a torrent file, which means it wont take long to download. Ill be uploading it directly from my computer and also as people download, they can also help seed me. Which means we will all benefit from each other. So here is the torrent shortcut, just isntall utorrent (google search its free) and then open this file and save the file to your fav destination. I'll be seeding this 24/7. Please download and check the BGM out for urself. If you guys are all satisfied, I can even rip the entire BGM of kannathil muthamitaal. Make a compilation just like kaissom or vithur and we can use torrent to share. The ball is in your court. Dear Friends, It's true. This is my experience with KM Music conservatory. It was hot sultry afternoon. I had already got permission from my boss for getting the prospectus of KMMC.A car was heading towards Anna Nagar, so i toogot into it. I told the driver, i will get down at Vadapalani, but the driver was kind enough to drop me at the holy gates for us. Yeah the gates of Rahmanji.I called up KMMC Office. Due to some network problem i had to keep on calling them thrice. I told them i'm waiting at gates of Rahmanji's residence. I was told to wait there and they will send a person to take me. I wonder if anyone would send a person to pick us, if we fail to make ourselves. When i entered, the reception showed me a warm smile and cognized me as i called them thrice :) I was then introduced to this Noble Lady Mrs.Jothi Nair Belliappa. She was very soft spoken and she attended all her calls with lots of patience and with same tempo. It's difficult to repeat the same details again and again. But she was maintaining her cool. Wow!. It was at that time Mr.Rajeevan had called. She was so humble, in replying him about his travelling all the way from Malayais. Instead she asked to send a demo tape. She then enquired about my personal details and musical background. I told her everything what i know. it was nice meeting them.
