im manu and first of all hi everybody

there's one wish in my life (ofcourse not that small) to see REHMAN's 
sir in real,i just want to stand in crowd where REHMAN's sir is 
passing by and all crowd shouts for REHMANS's sir 

i just want to be in that crowd ,i just want to see him atleast at a 
distance where my eye could recognize that he's none other than 
REHMAN

 Aamir Khan and Bhushan Kumar have reason to catch up over a cup of coffee.
Aamir's film Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, introducing his nephew Imran Khan, has
gone down big with audiences.

And even before it did, the film's music — composed by AR Rahman on
Bhushan's T-Series label, was a bigger hit. The foot-tapping tracks Pappu
Can't Dance and Kabhi Kabhi Aditi are on every radio station. Who wouldn't
smile!

But Aamir and Bhushan have an association that goes back 20 years. Aamir's
debut film in 1988, the entertaining Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, that catapulted
him to stardom, had its soundtrack recorded on Bhushan's music label. With
much pride, Bhushan says, "My father, Gulshan Kumar, struck a chord with
Aamir and recorded QSQT's music on our label.

This association has grown by leaps and bounds. I came into the scene only
ten years ago. And Aamir welcomed me whole-heartedly."

Since QSQT, Aamir has stuck with the music label. His Aamir Khan
Productions' directorial debut Taare Zameen Par , and before that Lagaan ,
were done with the same company. The music of all these films topped the
charts nationwide... And the
relationship continues with Ghajini, the soundtrack of which is again with
T-Series.

According to Bhushan, "Aamir often says, 'Ek saath, hamari kismat achchi hai
. You work on my films with a great sense of ownership and the results are

Dear Vij & Gops, I really appreciate your effort in uploading the samples.
But.. with all due respects, IMHO the beauty of hearing an ARR song for the
first time is getting lost here.
"I miss you da" might be a good song, but the uploaded sample is, I feel,
really out of sync or tune.. sounds very 'wobbling' (even though in actual,
it may not be!) ...

It would actually help if the real song is put (with good quality), but a
snipped version.

[arr] AR Rehman music for Naga Chaitanya’s flick

It is well aware that Naga Chaitanya, son of Akkineni Nagarjuna is making
his debut as hero and a grand function was planned on September 20 to
coincide the birthday of thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao, who is also his
grandfather. It is worth mentioning here that Nagarjuna was also introduced
to the film industry on the same date a few years ago.

After the formal launch of the film shooting would continue for three days.
However, the regular shooting would begin in October. Dil Raju is producing
the film, while AR Rahman is scoring music for the movie, it is reliably
learnt. Vasu Varma is also making his debut as director through the flick.
The producer is planning to release the film in summer.

If Abbas Tyrewala was overcoming his writer's block with this film, he
really doesn't serve up any surprises for he whips up a hackeneyed plot of
friends turning lovers but serves it in fresh flavours. Jai (Imran), Aditi
(Genelia), Rotlu (Karan), Sandhya (Alishka), Jiggy (Nirav) and Shaleen
(Sugandha) are college buddies who party together and hang out together.
After college, Jai's and Aditi's parents take it for granted that the two
will get engaged but the pair insist that they are "just friends"and even
get engaged to others just to ward off their parents. But are they just
friends or more? It's not the story but the treatment and stellar
performances that elevate the film above the ordinary.

*Technical Expertise*
Full marks to Tyrewala for his meaningful lines laced with humour. Take for
instance, when a tearful Aditi wonders how time has flown on the last day of
college and Jai's mom played by Ratna Pathak Shah consoles her saying,"Phone
par beta, phone par!" How true! Well, such breezy lines take the story
ahead. All the debutants deliver life-like performances. Imran's soulful
eyes and Genelia's naughty smile just work wonders. As Jai's father,
Naseeruddin Shah (dead and framed in a painting) delivers the liveliest
performance of the film. Casting director Pakhi does a great job in bringing
in new sets of parents in the form of Kitu Gidwani, Anooradha Patel and
Jayant Kripalani. I would personally accuse the director of wasting Pratiek
Babbar in a miniscule debut role which he does full justice to and more. You
just want more of this young, gangly lad oozing his mum's on-screen
sensuality. He's got great screen times awaiting him.
Cinematographer Manoj Lobo's frames are in tune with the film and editor
Shan Mohammed also delivers smart cuts. A. R. Rahman's music adds youthful
zing to the film. Not a classic but a nice, easy-going film that you will
enjoy and perhaps remind you of your own campus madness.

*Verdict*
Four stars - one for the entire debuting college gang, another for Abbas
Tyrewala's simple and sweet screenplay and dialogues, one for A R Rahman's
refreshing tunes and the last one for Pratiek's alluring screen presence.

narrated the story to me, I was very impressed. In the film all of us get
equal importance. Besides working with Gautham, which was my dream, I am
also excited that AR Rahman is scoring the music for the film. It is a

[arr] Lets come back to ADA...

This year started with a Magnum Opus Jodha Akbar followed by ADA and
Jaane Tu..
Now JA And Jaane Tu.. is released and we have the parties who have
claimed songs being under utilized and few convinced about the song
being used in the movie. Whats next is ADA. 
Though ADA released the same time as JTYJN the promotions of the later
make me fear that it has shadowed ADA. JTYJN is undoubtedly refreshing
in terms of music & lyrics in recent trend. ADA on the other hand is
affected by the dull promotions and the star casts which has hardly
caught any enthusiasm of a non-ARR fan. 
But ADA has again very good music and lyrics. Few are very poetic. 
pay attention to  "woh kahan hain" thats very romantic and poetic. A
rare ones. 
speaking about Gulfisha this songs begins very different and then
sounds a bit bollywood kind of music in the beginning. Its in the
interlude this song has the magic. the moment Sunidhi starts when Sonu
has just stops his line "dhoonda tujhe ..." is very crispy. 
Gum Sum has made me feel that its the modern Qawwali a pattern of its
own the last such attempt was tried by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan but ARR
takes it a level higher where the qawwali lovers appreciate it as
enhanced techo mixed. 
Tu mera hain may give an impression of Varugirai (aa Aaa, Tamil) when
Chitra touches the higher notes. But this is one song where I feel
Sukhwindera Singh's improvised rendition is more soothing than
Chitra's. The second paragraph should have taken care the where a
female expression is sung by Singh and the male ones by Chitra. The
lyrics might have been written under an impression that first line by
female, second by male and will continue which is like the first
paragraph. But here it changes, Chitra starts and continues to second
line. The third line is picked by Singh and Chitra sings the 4th line
which was actually written in continuity to the third. 

I have forced myself to stop listening JTYJN so that I can enjoy the
magic of ADA, now I realize how much I missed. But also realize how
difficult to enjoy when more than 1 ARR album is released with small gap.

 Music maestro A.R.Rahman has given some really diverse music this year. While 
he started the year with Ashutosh Gowariker's period film Jodhaa Akbar, he 
surprised everyone with the young and peppy tunes which he composed for Aamir 
Khan Productions' Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na.

If you think that's all you get to hear of Rahman this year, then you are 
wrong. While his music for Subhash Ghai's magnum opus Yuvraaj is being awaited 
with bated breath, he is also composing the music for Aamir Khan's Ghajini. 

And for all you die-hard Rahman fans, there is some more good news. The music 
maestro has also been roped in by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. to 
compose the music for their multi-starrer Blue. Blue has been in the news 
recently as major portions of the film featuring actors like Akshay Kumar, 
Sanjay Dutt,
 Lara Dutta, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif were shot in the exotic locations of 
Bahamas. With Rahman coming into the picture this adventure ride only gets 
bigger and better.

that he agreed to do the film for a rank newcomer like Kalaprabhu.  
The film has newcomer Ishita Sharma as the heroine, along with  
Vedhika, Amith, Lokesh and Harish. There are six peppy songs in the  
film, and Rahman's music is the biggest USP of the film.

Maybe we can call this the ‘most expected surprise’ of the year. Expected 
because it had a production house that has made quality its hallmark and a 
surprise because it has the most number of newcomers in any single film that 
released this year. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa has got off to a start that industry 
experts are saying is among the biggest of the 



year. The way it has taken off suggests that it could well be on its way to 
challenging Race and Jodha Akbar of being the highest grosser of the year. 
Starting at nearly 100 percent collections and sustaining it over the weekend, 
showing little signs of slowing down on Monday and an excellent word of mouth 
are symptoms usually associated with blockbusters and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa has 
at the moment got all of them.

Being hailed as one of the cutest film of recent times, the movie is all about 
friendship and love. The script is simple and uncomplicated; the performances 
are natural and just about everything are in the right proportions, making the 
movie a memorable experience. Initially, the movie was touted to be targeted at 
the youth audience. Yes, the youth will be the biggest contributor to its 
success, but the treatment of the movie makes it fit for all age groups. 

There have been small movies with debutants before with good scripts and 
performances. But none of them have got off to a flier that this one has. What 
made Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa click even before it released. Well, for starters, 
it was produced by Aamir Khan who had produced only two movies before, Lagaan 
and Taare Zameen Par. The promotion given to the movie was excellent, not over 
the top, not subdued, something that gave a perfect idea of what the movie was. 
Aamir Khan was out at front doing the publicity and when Aamir endorses the 
movie, people are bound to have faith in it. 
Then there is the single biggest factor that got the movie this huge opening - 
Rahman’s music. The ‘Kabhie Kabhie Aditi’ song was such a rage before the 
release that it will not be an exaggeration to say that many people would have 
been pulled to theaters just because of it. The role that the song played in 
making the movie a familiar name cannot be overemphasized.

So, in a year where biggies failed big time, many times, a cute love story has 
turned out to be a winner. This is not the first time that such a thing is 
happening, but the novelty never wears out. Compare Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa 
figures with last week’s Yashraj release Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic, which had Saif 
Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee in the lead, and you will know.

for newer albums go out & buy the PLS CD,it Takes hours of painful work & a Big 
Creative Brain for Rahman to bring us home these tunes, so PLS.

what Upsets me most is People pay Rs.250 Bucks for crap movie @ the mutiplex 
waste 3 hours of there time,but dont go out & by a CD which they can own for 
life & support an artist like Rahman who is a once in a lifetime artist
