Jai HoHai friends.. let me apologize to not uploading any videos as i was a little bit selfish in seeng our Boss. I could not concentrate on my mobile while boss was performing... yesterday.. a magical night.. no words to describe. what a performance . more than 4 people patiently waiting for boss to come since 1 pm outside the stadium. We entered into stadium at 4..30 and by 6.30 the stadium was packed with people. No space even for a needle. and still people were very patient. and we were enjoying by singing (crying) ARR songs from jodha akbar, bombay etc. up to 8.00pm as boss was a little bit late. and at last that moment came.. boss entered by singing Oh Saaayaa after finishin the theme music in SDM. the stadium was exploding that time... then the musical extravaganza started. Padakali chandichankiri by Benny Dayal and George peter, athiradi by ARR n sayanora, Netru illatha vaanam by KS Chitra, Roja Jaane man by Hariharan, tu muskura by Sadhana Sargam, masakkali by Raja hassan, oru kudai sunlight by Blaze kabhi kabhi adaditi... wow i am getting goosebumps... What a magic ... There was Malargale by Chitraji and Hariharanji...No words to describe..But the real magics were yet to come...with boss singing Rehna tu...and Khwaja meri kwaja and maula maula at one stretch...then started the explosion with musthafa, pappu cant dance and antha arabikadaloram... and the show ended with jai ho and vande mataram...and ofcourse with the fire works...It was an unforgettable evening...wowwAn invaluable loss for those who missed the showARR.. This is early news...and the contract still needs to be signed. But talks are currently on for a JAI HO concert this Oct-Nov in Dubai. This might be considered too soon by Rahman standards considering one just took place exactly a year back at Sharjah. But obviously we have the organisers trying to cash in on the JAI HO mania and hopefully target a more global audience this time around. Afterall now he shall be coming back as Oscar winner Rahman :-) Anyways, good news for all gulf Rahmaniacs. And with an upgraded playlist that would include hits from Slumdog, Jaane Tu, Ghajini, Delhi 6 and Yuvraaj...this is great news. Once again, the talks are still in the early stages. Hopefully a confirmation might come along somewhere this week.

It was a huge turnout...and the response from the crowd was amazing.. This was my 4th Rahman concert and for me personally, it was ok..It didnt start off well..lot of errors, poor sound, lyrics were forgotten to name a few.. but ended with a bang..Mustafa Mustafa just set the whole stadium on fire and it continued till the endBut we as a group had loads of fun..pre and post concert...it was a memorable experience. It was a musical extravaganza this Kerala town has never seen before as music lovers from across the world thronged the corporation stadium last night to see their idol perform for the first time after winning a double Oscar for his score in 'Slumdog Millionaire'. Such was the response of the crowd that Rahman himself acknowledged at the end of the show that he would be delighted to return to Kozhikode once more. The show is the first of the 39 such live shows to be conducted by the maestro all over the world during the next five years. The show was enlivened by the participation of noted playback singers Hariharan, K S Chithra, Benny Dayal, Rahid Ali, Javed Ali, Mohammad Aslam and Sayanora who sang 30 popular songs from Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. Moreover Chithra accompanied his team last year as well. Rahman to his ‘Jai Ho’ concert stage, with which he kicked off his world tour following two Oscars. He came on to the stage singing *O Saya*, his Oscar-nominated song from *Slumdog Millionaire*. And the composer proved, yet again, that he was no less a singer. After the song, he said he was pleased to come to Kerala. “I have been wanting to come here for the past 15 years,” he said. Malayali singer Sayanora joined Rahman to sing *Athiradee* and both were in top form. Rahman also improvised his song *Padakali* from the Malayalam film *Yodha*, which was rendered by Benny Dayal and George Peter. Before long, two of the finest singers of the night, Hariharan and Sadhana Sargam, came on with that haunting melody from *Roja*, *Kathal rojave* (it was, in fact, mixed with the Hindi version, *Roja jaaneman*). Crowd delighted The show went on for another couple of hours, delighting the huge crowd that had been waiting patiently for several hours before it all began shortly before 8 p.m. The other singers of the night included Chithra, Rashid Ali, Javed Ali, Mohammed Aslam and Raja Hassan. The show featured a lot of dances. Doubts were expressed in certain quarters if the people of Kozhikode would make the show a grand success. Enthusiastic response There were some who wondered if the tickets were not priced a bit too high. But all those doubts vanished by about 6 p.m., when one hour was still left for the scheduled beginning of the show. The stadium was full, with people coming to venue as early as 3 p.m. *The gallery was the first to fill up and the spectators there gave the loudest cheers, from the moment they got in. Chants of Jai Ho and Rahman and thunderous applause could be heard almost from the moment they entered the stadium.* If the way the crowd thronged the stadium was anything to go by, the huge build-up to the show helped. And once again, the people of Kozhikode showed the world that they would not let the organisers down, be it football or music. My second concert. Honestly was disappointed with the first half but had fun in the group atmosphere. Rahman sang a lot of songs with errors which was a lot different from his previous concert at bangalore. The main singers sang well but Rahman was a little below his best. Was surprised about the rehearsal levels. The ending and Mustafa were great and got the crowd back to full fledge cheering. The Khoikode show was just FANTABULOUS Rahmanji has just thrilled entire stadium and I went crazy when I saw him for the first time so closely. It was just breathtaking show that night which I would never ever forget in my life. Traveled all the way from Hyderabad to calicut only for Rahmanji's live in concert, every minute I spent in travelling money was paid back when I saw Rahmanji on the stage. I remember every word that ARRji uttered in the show. For those who missed the show, here are few things that he said Middle of the show, before singing Jiya se, Jiya he said like For the next song I would not encourage people to really do it as its very hot in calicut (for free hugs) and he sang the song. Many didn't realise what he said. After a long pause in the show he entered saying Ammm Back. Before singing Hamma hamma he said the next song might make you feel bored and then he started. Ohhh there are many like that. I shall update once I am back to Hyderabad. I am half way through. Catch you all soon.
