[arr] (semi-arr) Desperately waiting for this Combination to happen - ARR + Sekhar Kammula
Hi All.. For those who can't wait till VTV, here is some Non-ARR Stuff. I strongly recommend to hear Songs from the Not yet released telugu film Leader. Especially dont miss Leader Title track, Vandematarm, Avunana Kaathana, Leader Instrumental Version tracks. It has some good music by Mickey J. Meyer. And the film was directed by Mr. Sekhar Kammula. He is an excellent director. He has given a new dimension to the telugu film industry. He has set standards for making a film in innovative way by preserving telugu culture and values intact. And most importantly Mr. Sekhar Kammula is having fantastic music sense. He extracts excellent stuff even from new music directors also. The three films which he directed stands for this (Anand, Godavari, Happy Days) and ofcourse now Leader. If you find time, you may listen to the songs from these movies also. No need to say, not only music, these films are as good as well. Inshallah, Am hoping that our ARR works with Sekhar Kammula in future. Am sure, this will be a ground-breaking combination. Thanks, Kalyan K.

[arr] In Fond Memory of Sridhar Sir..
On the 28th of November, 11 of us(fans of AR) took time out of our routine to Donate lunch to kids at an Orphanage in Chennai and spent some time there. This was initiated in fond memory of the Great sound engineer Mr. H. Sridhar, who passed away an year back. The orphanage was a small one and managed by a trust by name, Kaakum Karangal. There were a total of 60 people taken care by the trust of which there were 30 Boys, 20 Girls and 10 elderly people. We sponsored the day's lunch for them and it was a special meal with sweets, and other savories. We went there by about 1 in the afternoon. We thought we could serve, but as it turned out they had a completely different system of service, a highly disciplined and military style; the children were made to sit in 4 rows with plates in their hand. And the food was kept at one end with 2 elderly people serving it. The kids took their turns, in a very orderly fashion, to get the food. They were served by the elders. After filling their plates they sat in their place. Once they settled with the food, they gave a 2 minutes' prayer, all reciting aloud. It was so good to witness 60 people saying out the prayer aloud. Sent out so much positive vibes. :) After that they sat there, happily eating. We could see that joy in their eyes and that was joy to us. Food filling their stomach and our hearts.. This was the perfect way to pay tribute to a genius like Sridhar sir, spreading joy in his name.. He continues to live in all our Memories.. May his soul RIP. Thanks Regards, Rakesh R

Why can't we get our guys to listen to our own music rather than to Michael Jackson? I didn't want us to lose the market to the West. The music had to be cool and rooted, and yet had to branch out. It was like the wild imagination of a child... but it worked... it did travel beyond Madras and attract people. Trivia Allah Rakha Rahman was born A.S. Since the pressure of supporting his family fell on him, he joined Ilayaraja's troupe as a keyboard player at the age of 11. Rahman has been redefining the country's widely popular film music. Generally regarded as the finest Indian film composer of his time (and certainly the most commercially successful), Rahman produced music for nearly 35 wide-screen releases during his first five years in the industry. He has worked with many of his country's brightest music stars and a growing list of international luminaries like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Zakir Hussain, L. Shankar, Apache Indian, and David Byrne. Born A.S. Dileep Kumar on January 6th, 1966, in Madras, India, Allah Rakha Rahman was exposed to music from the time he was a child, entered in classical piano studies by his parents at the age of four. At 16, he quit school and was following in his father's footsteps (K.A. Sekhar was a successful film musician, arranger, and conductor himself), working full-time as a session musician on soundtracks under the popular South Indian composer Illaiyaraja. The monotony soon grew tiring however, and at the suggestion of a colleague, Rahman tried his hand at television commercials, eventually composing over 300 jingles in just five years. It wasn't until 1989 that Rahman planted the first seeds of his film career. That year, he began acquiring the equipment and organizing the sound library for his Panchathan Record Inn. When Sharada Trilok's ad for Leo Coffee (for which Rahman penned the music) won her an award, she introduced the young composer to her cousin, Mani Ratnam. Impressed with his work, the director signed Rahman to compose the music for K. Balachander's 1992 film Roja. Rahman's score, a colorful, uncluttered combination of pop, rock, reggae, and his country's traditional music, reshaped the genre, winning him three awards for Best Music Director. Roja became the equivalent of an Indian crossover success. Originally filmed in South Indian Tamil, it was re-dubbed (and its soundtrack re-recorded) in Hindi, the language of North India's famous film center Bollywood. His star on the rise, Rahman proceeded to compose music for six

Re: [arr] In Fond Memory of Sridhar Sir..
I'm on tears.. Thanks Bros. for making it a great success. Still can't believe that Sridhar Sir is not here with us.. just can't imagine. We listen to him.. feel his divinity.. enjoy his incomparable skills, eah and every moment.. Infact we listen to his own life story in the form songs and scores who spent almost all of his life inside AM and Panchathan with AR than his own family members. He's the one who listened AR's songs than our man himself! Love you Sir.. Our Inspiration, Our Motivation, Our Teacher, Our Life! Thanks for everything.. I know these words or the noble activites that we do are not enough to praise you or to pay the tribute for what you've done to the world of sound and music. We love you forever and for always, Sir.. Take a new birth and come soon.. Little Ameen and Siblings are waiting for your training.. Come back soon for us. Please...LOVE YOU!
