I think posting declared fake lists in this group is fun. I enjoyed

all fake lists in past. A lot of thinking and efforts goes in creating

in a "real"-like fake list.

However, wiki is an almost authentic reference source for information

worldwide. Wiki is a no-profit work intended to help the world for

free. Posting fake lists there undermines the authenticity of wiki. I

request members not to do that.

Post all fake lists here. But do tell beforehand that it is a fake

list so that people don't feel cheated when they come to know that it

was fake.

A combo DVD of Raavanan and Roja is now available on http://www.bhavanid

As far as I know, this site only sells official DVDs. I bought a lot of Telugu
movies from here and I also bought Vaaranam Aayiram and Aayutha Ezhuthu from

Bob Marley who?

I don't know him.

So i think that proves that there is noting like "household

Why can't ARR give just one hindi film per year and spend rest of his

Why should he opt out of India?

Re: [arr] RGV lashes out at A.R. Rahman - The Truth

2010-07-30 Thread Aakarsh
Guys,

two things.

First - our media - Please be aware that media is hungry out there to catch our
eyeballs and wants to turn anything into a sensation. Classic example: a 140
word limit tweet has been blown into a full paragraph of news.

Second: RGV has a very sacrastic (or even sardonic) sense of humor. He was
pulling the leg of the actor he was responding to and it was evident for those
who follow RGV's twitter & blogs. I didnt take it seriously. More so because
RGV praised ARR and even Keeravani & Mani Sharma in his previous blogposts.

For the record, read his twitter line today - he clarified that it was just a
joke.

(This incident sends the right message to everyone... about what should be
taken seriously and what should be taken as a joke... and more importantly, how
to cut through the media sensationalism).

Regards
Aakarsh

ARR has very less time for parties.
By the way, this composer (Gustavo Santaolalla) is also a 2 time OSCAR

Fw: [arr] RGV lashes out at A.R. Rahman

Subject: Re: [arr] RGV lashes out at A.R. Rahman

He's clarified it and said that it was a "joke".Also referred to the following
article of his :
http://rgvarma.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5187B91811914FB4!9226.entry

I was making a Telugu film called Kshana Kshanam with a first-time music
director called Keera Vani, now known as M.M.Kreem. One day at the recording
studio while we were having lunch, Rickey, a rhythm programmer working with
M.M.Kreem at that time, mentioned to me that I should work with this very
talented keyboard player called Dilip. That was the first time I had ever heard
of A.R.Rahman. I didn’t take Rickey seriously. Much later when I happened to
listen Roja’s songs at Mani Ratnam’s home, long before the film released, I was
blown away with the sheer originality of the songs’ orchestration and tunes. I
immediately wanted to sign him for a film I was making with Sanjay Dutt
called Nayak, and for Rangeela. But my investors preferred Anu Malik, as they
felt the success of the music of Roja’s dubbed version was a fluke, and that
this kind of music would not work in Hindi. The very fact that A.R was not
signed by any top Hindi filmmaker after Roja is proof-enough, they reasoned.
They said that Anu Malik was at the top of his form after Baazigar, and that
we
would get a much bigger price for the audio.

I bartered with them that I will sign Anu Malik for Nayak if they allowed me
A.R
for Rangeela. They agreed, but the plain truth behind it was that they were not
really interested in “Rangeela” as Sanjay Dutt post “Khalnayak” was a much
bigger star than Aamir at that time. After 20 days of shooting for Nayak Sanjay
got arrested in the serial blast case and the film was shelved. (Much later the
script of Nayak I made it as Sarkar).

Before A.R, I have worked with Ilayaraja, M.M.Kreem and Raaj Koti, and knew on
a
personal level many other music directors and their working styles. What struck
me first when I met A.R was the incredible dignity with which he carries
himself. There is neither an iota of arrogance nor a halo of pride which
success
invariably brings to people. After telling him the story of Rangeela, I showed
him references of some Hollywood musicals, and described to him the visual
style
I was planning to capture the film in. Once he went through the situations, the
compositions he came up with used to surprise me, though not always
pleasantly.
That is because his tunes were so original in his interpretation of the emotion
of a situation that a conventional ear will take time to let it sink in. That I
think is the reason one tends to like his music more and more as one listens to
it again and again. A case in point is the Hai Rama song where my brief to him
was that I wanted to shoot an erotic number, wherein more than the romance I
wanted to capture lust in Urmila’s and Jackie’s faces. I said to him that when
animals have sex they are not ashamed, or feel shy, as they are so completely
lost in their own feelings for each other, and hence do not care about where
they are and who is watching them. The visual of Urmila and Jackie circling
each
other in the Kuldhara ruins of Rajasthan was the key image I gave him.

After the brief I was subconsciously expecting him to come up with a tune,
something on the likes of I Love You(Kaate Nahin Katthe Yeh Din Yeh Raat) in
Mr.
India. What he came up with was the Hai Rama tune, which sounded to me like
some
classical Carnatic raga, and my first reaction was that he had lost his head.
But when I kept hearing it, it grew on me like an obsession, and I finally said
that we will go ahead with the tune even though I was still unsure, deep
inside,
of how it would fit into the situation. But when he finished the entire track
with the orchestration it was beyond my wildest imagination that an erotic song
can be made to sound like that. He captured the intensity of the eroticism and
the purity of its feeling in the beginning alaap, the cello themes, and through
the wild tablaas which elevated the effect of the images I created, many times
more than what they would have been otherwise.

One other trait I noticed about the difference between A.R and other music
directors is that where the others pretty much dictate to the musicians and the
singers about what they want, A.R interacts with them; in a manner of making
each and every one of his solo musicians and singers feel as if it is their
song
and not his, thereby placing the onus on them to feel from within to get the
best out of them. This I have never ever seen remotely practiced by any other
music director.

Whereas most music directors record the final track first, with all the
orchestration and get the singer to dub the last, A.R invariably gets the
singer
to dub on a base rhythm track first and does the orche

Hi all,

Suryan FM started playing Endhiran songs from 7am today...
2 songs - Arima Arima, Kadhal Anukkal have been played till now..

Arima is typical Shankar-ARR stuff. fast duets, on the lines of Vaaji Vaaji
(similarity is only in the style and mood)

Kadhal anukkal is a slightly fast duet... Shreya's voice is too sweet, as
always!! :D
Vijay prakash tries a few variations in his style of singing I got reminded
of Jassie gift's style of singing in some places!!

I'm tooo excited already!! cant wait for the CDs tomo!!! :D :D :D

Dear myown_niche (what's your real name friend ???),

Nice thoughts. I think you are a very mature ARR Fan who loves any good music
that ARR gives to this music world.

I totally agree with your point. I too earn for more new combination with ARR.
Like ARR-Gautam, ARR-Bala, ARR-FarhanAktar etc. And even  better ARR-Nolan,
ARR-Speilberg etc. After some point of time, ARR will come back and join with
our great Mani. This time I will see a refreshed version of ARR-Mani
combination.

To be very frank, I enjoyed his score for the Chinese film "The Warriors of the
heaven and earth" much much more than Bombay Dreams or even Slumdog. "WOH and
Earth" was a superb score from ARR and I cannot forget how much I enjoyed
listening to.. "Ongaro poihchoo Bhungiroo poihchoo etc.. " ( I don't know the
lyrics, its the chinese version of Warriors in Peace).

Wherever he goes we get to listen to some beautiful music. Let it be in Hindi,
Chinese, Telugu, Tulu, Malayalam, and of course Thamizh. My only request to ARR
sir is that let the lyrics be understandable and words of that language be very
clear. I enjoy his music 1000 times more if I can understand and appreciate the
lyrics of that song.

Jai Ho,
Jayram

Subject: [arr] RGV lashes out at A.R. Rahman

Ace Bollywood director-screenwrit er-producer Ram Gopal Varma, known for his
films across multiple genres -- psychological thrillers, underworld gang
warfare, politician-criminal nexus and musicals -- lashed out at reigning music
directors, including Oscar award winner A.R. Rahman, saying that they buried
the
music in South India.
Reportedly, the moviemaker was responding to upcoming actor RaNa’s comment
about
Ilayaraja’s soulful music in Chinarayudu. According to a leading website, Ram
Gopal Varma commented that A.R. Rahman, Keeravani, Mani Sharma and Devi Sri
Prasad had together killed music in films.
Interestingly, it was RGV who introduced Rahman to Hindi audiences
with Rangeela; he also introduced Mani Sharma in Telugu but the film was
shelved
midway. RGV also said that unlike Ilayaraja, these music composers brought
importance to sound rather than music. Anyway, it is yet to be seen how the
entire film industry reacts to RGV’s rude remarks.

But do tell beforehand that it is a fake

list so that people don't feel cheated when they come to know that it

was fake.

ARR Sir

Greeting A.R.Rahman sir, i seriously do hope this message reach you sir.
Madhushree has tweeted that she has sung all 3 versions (Tamil, Telugu and
Hindi) version of her song in Endhiran. This has given us Madhushree fans a BIG
dream. But we was disapointed with sir only retaining her voice in the Hindi
version. We know you know the best, but it really shattered our dreams. The
Madhushree's voice in your composition simply means MAGIC. For instance the
ghazal songs of Tehzeeb, Sandai Kozhi Kozhi - Aayitha Ezhutu, Marudhani -
Sakarakatti, Vaaji Vaaji - Sivaji, etc etc...

I do hope Sir will compensate with giving us more Madhushree numbers in the
future... I seriously hope...

Thank u

Shreya is so sweet, perfect in rendition, and sang the entire song with such
an elegance that takes the song to the next level! Particularly she took me
to a different world when she starts "Kadhal Anukkal" at the end of second

song after song and I'm just amazed by her talent...Kudos to her and May God

I am just amazed to know your opinion that ARR is wasting time in
concerts. I guess you are not aware of the purpose behind these concerts.

6 movies per year, he is not a Robot lol. Also some of the movies like Raavan,
Endhiran - he has to produce song 3 times (Hindi/Tamil/Telugu), and background
score (takes ~ 2 months) is separate thing.

Also FYI, Gowarikar's last movie was big flop, and his next one is destined to
be flop as well (starring Abhishek & Deepika lol)

@Capital - Roshan has answered it well.

Rajini intro song in EndhiranIndiaGlitz [Thursday, July 29, 2010]

Endhiran]

*Endhiran -
Stills
*

As before we had in all his earlier films even Endhiran will have an
'athiradi' opening song for the Super Star. And it is sung by SP
Balasubramaniam.

The song which goes like "Naan Kandathu aararivu, Nee Kondaahu erarivu/Naan
katrathu aaru mozhi/nee katrathu nooru mozhi is written by Vairamuthu. We
can expect AR Rahman would have weaved a magic around this hero worshipping
song.

Meanwhile a reminder of the story of Endhiran. Rajni plays dual roles in
Endhiran. One is a scientist and the other is a Robot. Scientist Rajni, Dr.
Vaseedgaran creates a Robot with artificial intelligence – like that of
sixth sense in humans – which looks just like a human and behaves too like a
human to help mankind. But the robot later acquires more human characters.
It falls in love with Aishwarya Rai and writes romantic poems. Knowing about
the extra ordinary intelligence of the Robot the villains try to get control
of the Robot and plan evil activities. Scientist Rajni then fights to save
the Robot falling into the hands of the enemies and destroys the evil forces
using the Robot itself.

The Endhiran team had already left to Malaysia for the audio release on this
Sunday.

Re: [arr] Heard that the DVD of Villain out. Is it True?

2010-07-30 Thread Triply
A combo DVD of Raavanan and Roja is now available on
http://www.bhavanidvd.com/.

As far as I know, this site only sells official DVDs. I bought a lot of
Telugu movies from here and I also bought Vaaranam Aayiram and Aayutha
Ezhuthu from there.

I plan to order a copy soon!

[arr] Rahman ‘roars’ in Telugu

2010-07-30 Thread A.R.Rajib
Rahman ‘roars’ in TeluguIndiaGlitz [Thursday, July 29, 2010]

Not just music, but Rahman too has no language. For he is not just a
pan-Indian music composer, but a global player and a proud winner of coveted
international honours like the Oscar and the Grammy.

And now, the ‘Mozart of Madras’ has showed is penchant for Telugu. One of
his latest tweets on his microblogging page reads, “Nenu A R Rahman
Matladutunnanu”, which means ‘This is Rahman speaking”.

This tweet from the music maestro comes in the wake of the audio launch of
his Tollywood venture ‘Puli’, which has Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. The
film is directed by Kollywood’s actor-director S J Suryah.

Rahman has sung a number ‘Maaralante…’ in ‘Puli’, which is getting ready to
hit the screens soon. “It is my favourite song in the album,” the music
composer says and adds: “It’s about Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy that if you
do good to one person, you are doing good to the whole world.”

Got confirmation that ARR Himself Handled the Camera a bit on this video !!
but just one single shot was by him !!He Took the shot of the Ornate
building from the bridge..that's it !! Which covers only about 2-3 seconds
in the video !

AR is very much interested in photography ,so it was expected from my side
!! Remember his photos from the Grammies he posted on Facebook ?

Go ARR !! :-)

[arr] Madhushree goes missing in the Tamil and Telugu versions... to ARR Sir

2010-07-30 Thread Dinesh Scaran

Thank u

Dinesh Scaran
