*Here is a group of politicians who are known to be corrupt to the bone. I
am generalizing here. I am an Indian living in Australia. I am proud of
being Indian. BUT, I cannot stand the corruption that goes on in India. One
of the main reasons for me to leave India was the corruption there. Not
saying that there is no corruption anywhere else but there is so much of it
in India and we all know it but no one does anything about it. It is great
to see a hero in a movie killing all sorts of weeds in our government but in
reality there is no one stopping the weeds entering the government *

*The CWG anthem in absolutely brilliant. I loved it and can't get enough of
it. The only reason for finding faults with A.R.Rahman is to divert the
focus from the politicians corruption scandals. For the people who have a
problem with the money paid to Rahman I am sorry he deserves every **
paise. There is no other musician who could have come up with a better
compositions. That is the plain truth. This is really making my blood boil
to a point where I feel like calling a press conference and putting thing
forward to the bloody media and asking them the questions about where are
their compositions and which one of them have had even 2 days of music
lessons for them to make such claims and bring it out as headlines. *

*If there was someone from this group who could help me voice our support
and bring the corrupt politicians to the limelight I will be happy to
support and will come back to my motherland India. India is a great country
and would be even better if we had been governed by clean politicians. There
are a few great, highly educated politicians who would make great leaders
but they are all sidelined so that the greedy, uneducated scum could rule a
great country only to drag it to their standards. *

*I guess our politicians enjoyed the Shakira song only because of all the
skin shown. Guess they were looking only at the video (I personally think
they wouldn't have understood the lyrics.. hahaha) Sorry couldn't help
putting that in! I really liked Wakka Wakka for the brilliant composition,
the beats, rhythm and also the dance in the video was great! As I read in
one of the topics Wakka wakka was made for the biggest sporting event in the
world. It had to be publicized they it was. *

*Another thing I wanted to point out was that, a 99% of these self
proclaimed music critics said that the words of the CWG theme wasn't what
they had expected, now what does the lyrics have to do with A.R.Rahman. If
the words are not in sync with the event you criticize the  lyricist and not
the composer. I hope **these self proclaimed music critics do know what the
difference is between the lyrics and the music of a song. *

*I am sorry for a lengthy email but I had to put all my feelings into words!
Will India ever become a corrupt free country? Will there be a day when all
the politicians will say that they don't accept bribes and actually be
saying the truth? I hope we as a group can bring about this change and make
A.R.Rahman sir be proud of fans like all of us. We are a group of 16231
members even if we just try and get a few people to change and create a
domino effect we could change our great country and make it better than any
other place in the world and be known for something great other than a land
of call centers. Hope we can do this and make A.R.Rahman's and our dreams of
a great India come true. *

Thank you for your response. I did read the Wiki page, but was confused as
to why this movie hasn't been mentioned in this group or any other A.R.R.
fans group. I wasn't sure if this news was authentic or not.

I am also waiting on news on Nair San. Can't wait to hear the BGM in Puli
and Enthiran for the time being. I would be watching the movie Puli purely
for the Music as I don't understand Telegu. But, Endhiran, 1st  i will watch
it for the BGM and the songs and 2nd for Rajnikhant, Aiswarya Rai and
Shankar.

Yup its a film written by Tamilnadu CM M.Karunanidhi and directed by
Prashanth's ('Jeans' 'Thiruda Thiruda' fame)father Thyagarajan starring
Prashanth and Sneha. Its supposedly a Period epic war film. Really sounds
exciting since it will be Rahman's first period film after Jodhaa Akbar. But
its gonna take at least one more year for the film and its music to take
shape as Prashanth and his dad are busy making another film. I personally
don't think this Thyagarajan guy is capable of making good films at all and
he is probably gonna make a joke out of this epic war film. Anyway, its
gonna take a long time.

I am really looking forward to NAIR SAN. Any idea about the film, anyone?
Its been in the making for years...Still no news about it...I hope someone
knows something about it.

finally got Couple's Retreat and VTV and absolutely love the songs!

I just wanted to find out if Rahman sir composed the theme for the malayalam
channel Kairali T.V.. I just heard it and was absolutely blown away at the
arrangements of the instruments and couldn't imagine anyone else to compose

Hey guys,

Just a confession, I tried to wait to buy the CD here in Sydney, but I
wasn't able to wait till the weekend as it will be available only over the
weekend. I had to download it. But I promise to buy the CD. I have always
bought the CD, but this time I just couldn't bear to read all the reviews
and not able to hear not even one song. I am sorry guys but will stand by my
word and will buy the CD as soon as it is available here in Sydney!

And yes to someone who wanted to find out if there was other rahmaniacs
going for the Rahman show here in Sydney! Damn straight I will be there! I
think it would be great for all the rahmaniacs in Sydney to meet up before
the show somewhere in the park! It would be great to know other Rahman fans
here in Sydney! I honestly can't wait the next 71hrs and 13mins for the
show! It is a killer to wait to see Rahman Sir on stage!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU ARE ATTENDING
A.R. RAHMAN CONCERT

SATURDAY JANUARY 16, PARRAMATTA PARK

The following information is provided to
help you plan your visit to and from Parramatta Park and to make
the event a happy and safe one! Please forward this email to
everyone you know who is coming.

EVENT INFORMATION

Gates to the event site will open at
12pm. Please note – we are expecting large crowds, so expect
delays and allow plenty of time to meet your friends and get to
the event. The park will be closed when it is full.

The concert will also be broadcast on
ABC2 TV at 8.30pm on the night.

There is no BYO alcohol and no glass
permitted – there will be bag searches at the gate. Food and
beverages will be on sale at stalls on site throughout the day,
and there will be licensed areas.

The concert is from 7.30pm-10pm. To avoid
the departing crowds, why not stay and enjoy some Bollywood music
videos and our VJ? They will be playing until 11.30pm.

NSW Police officers alongside security
personnel will ensure a safe and secure event.

Expect long delays when leaving the park
- please be patient and look out for one another.

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER

- Be sun smart: wear sunscreen and a hat
and drink plenty of water
- If drinking alcohol, drink responsibly
– and remember to look after your mates
- No pegging into the ground or reserving
of unattended areas
- No high chairs or beach umbrellas
- No plastic sheeting or ice on the grass
as this kills the lawns

TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport is the best way to get
to the concert as there is limit parking around Parramatta Park -
so leave the car at home. To plan your trip visit 131500.com.au

CityRail is operating to a weekend
timetable with additional direct Western Line services to get you
to and from the concert.

Large numbers of people are expected to
attend this event. Plan your trip, purchase a return ticket,
travel early and please note the following transport destination
messages to ensure you arrive at the concert in time.

If travelling from the City and east of
Parramatta, get off the train at Parramatta Station, then walk to
Parramatta Park (approx 20 minute walk). Entry to the park is on
the corner of Macquarie and Pitt streets.

Trains to Parramatta operate all day with
direct services departing Central Station departing 4pm and
stopping at Redfern, Strathfield, Lidcombe, Granville, Harris
Park and Parramatta only. The direct services do not stop at
Westmead – you must alight at Parramatta and follow the signs to
Parramatta Park.

If travelling from west of Parramatta,
get off the train at Westmead Station, then walk to Parramatta
Park. Entry to the park is on Park Avenue. Trains to Westmead
operate all day with direct services departing Blacktown Station
from 4pm, stopping all stations to Westmead.

Sydney Ferries services will operate to a
regular Saturday timetable.

GETTING HOME

If you're heading back toward the City
from Parramatta Park, you should walk to Parramatta Station and
catch a service to Central Station departing every 5 minutes from
9.30pm, stopping at Harris Park, Granville, Lidcombe,
Strathfield, Redfern and Central. The direct services to Central
do not stop at Westmead – you must walk to Parramatta Station.

If you're heading West of Parramatta
Park, you should walk to Westmead Station and catch a service to
Blacktown departing every 5 minutes from 9.30pm, stopping at all
sta

I was just online on www.indiaglitz.com and saw the trailer for Ada. It is
releasing on either the 16th or the 18th of December. I was so excited to
see it as I know that I have one more A.R.Rahman movie to look forward to
before the year ends. I can't wait to see this movie, as I absolutely love
the CD. To add frosting to the cake it says that A.R.Rahman has done the
background music as well. Just can't wait. Hoping that it is not a false
alarm.

going to be released here in Sydney! Need to buy the CD.
