[arr] Re: Pune Concert: A Huge Success
Spectacular, Magnificent, Superb, Too Good, Mesmerizing, Class Apart, Never Before, Truly International are few of the words that are coming to my mind if I were to describe how good the Pune Concert was. It was arguably the best ARR concert till date. The sound, the set, the lights, the graphics, the choreography, the performances all at their very best. Watching ARR performing live was a dream come to me like many of us. Fortunately we had managed to get the best seats after standing for hours braving the sun and the sweat. Dear Friends, I dont know if this has been posted on the groups before, but at the time of Guru film's release, the song 'Shauk Hai' was premiered on Mumbai's Radio City 91.1 fm station. I heard it twice. I was surprised to hear the FULL VERSION of this song. Its one of the most melodious compositions from ARR. I was under the impression that the entire version will be released at a later date, but i have no idea what is the status on this. But still can get the hype in the song.. Another example our Boss RAHMAN in song ATHERADI (SIVAJI) he follow the concept Michael Jackson's JAM song.. He never copy the song but he followed the concept.. but there is a HYPE in the song... really Good.. So the conclusion is every musician they have their own imagination and way to compose.. If u r a fan of Rahman u'll say it is good and if r a fan of Harris jayraj u'll say his music good.. Listeners also have different taste and opinion... Let say me, the song ORU KUDAI sunlight (STYLE) i think the song dont have the hype but it is still nice to hear the song at first was slow and i waited for the rocking part.. i waited waited and waited the song finish.. ha ha ha... but i cannot judge the song is not good very fast... It might be SHANKAR's request the song to be like that however we have to see it with scene then only we can say why the song is like that... And to judge RAHMAN's music one should have taste and knowledge about LATEST TECHNOLOGY IN MUSIC ... then only u know what RAHMAN try to do... Normally A.R. HI friends, As usual, we unfortunate people of Dubai are the last ones to be able to get the latest releases of A.R.Rahman. I mean all you guys have been discussing WATER album from quite some time and i was not able to buy it here. Finally i purchased online at amazon.com and yesterday i received my copy, so excuse me for this delay but i have to share my comments. This album just blew my mind away. It's the best music i've ever heard. Very soothing and very very sentimental. That's why i say to Rahman Saab, please give us more of this kind of music. You are certainly India's proud possession. Well, but if you check the reports from IndiaGlitz and Gallata.com, Paramsivam will release on Pongal and this is confirmed, since Ajith wants to provide his fans and audience a powerful come back, which can be done only through a HIT of a movie and he and others are sure, GOD FATHER cannot do it, since the second part of story was almsot confused and collopsed, may be the movie can go for small run just for A.R.Rahman music. According to me, the songs of RBD do not require repeated listenings to for one to develop a liking for them. You will get hooked on to the entire album right away... Lata still continues to mersmerize with her voice in Lukka Chuppi... the alaap in the end with ARR is simply awesome !!! Naresh Iyer definately makes his mark as a singer & to watch out for ARR does quite of bit of experimentation with the arabic track Khalbali hai khalbali .. sounds great. Rang De Basanti . GO FID !! I started listening to tamil songs after Roja bcoz of ARR music. few years back I didn´t understand tamil but used to bring cassettes of films with ARR music first day it released in stores. I agree with U. Rahman`s output depends on director`s influnce. So,he delivers his best with Shankar and Mani. Especially with Mani ratnam Rahman`s music is great. I observed that in mani movies Rahman works a lot on background score also. Always Rahman delivers the best he can and what the movie and director needs.
